Yes, Commanders and Giants beat AFC Teams yesterday (Jags, Tenn)   Lions are NFC so Eagles hold the tiebreaker with Conference Record Win.

A scrambling QB is always going to make plays.  This is why Tyrod Taylor keeps getting jobs.  He can make plays with his feet.  Same with Teddy Bridgewater although I think he's better than Hurts as a passer.

Bridgewater isn't really a scrambling QB.

I have no respect for NYG and fully expect a Cowboys collapse.  I do think that DC team plus Wentz has the capacity to ring up quite a few regular season wins.  But between Wentz's constant injury risk, his penchant for disastrous plays, and his tendency to come up small in big situations...I think the Commanders should reliably fail to challenge the Eagles in head to head games with playoff implications.

We still had injuries in the offseason and there was obvious rust during week 1. I think they should change the way they do practice and preseason

What week will Carson screw up his mechanics for the season and start throwing into double coverage?

Eagles as a whole is definitely better than the saints. I'm saying if they saints pull off 8-9 wins, I would not be shocked at all.

The counter is the offense Josh Allen runs is similar.  Allen is his team's most effective runner.  Offenses just can't be one dimensional.  Hurts has about half a dimension as a passer and that's not likely good enough to make the team a winner.

Later on. I'd say after week 10 or 11 when the potential to take the division becomes a possibility 

Kind of a strange week for predictions. Two people nailed the 38 points for Eagles but completely whiffed on their Lions score prediction. 

I have co-winners for Week 1, @Iggles25 continues his impressive streak with a 31-27 prediction, and @Saltpeter with a prediction of 34-24. Both had a point differential total of 15 which gives them the win.

The difference was on the first drive of the game, look how physical they were compared to the Eagles, plus the Eagles were all gassed in the 4th quarter.  The Lions had a physical camp and preseason.
  All the ex players commentating have said the same thing about yesterday, the Eagles were gassed in 4th quarter and they weren’t ready for Lions physical play to start the game since  the starters haven’t played real football since the TB playoff loss.

The C- for the coaching staff and the same grade for the DL is overly generous.  I’d give Gannon/Wilson an F.  I downgrade Shane for some of the called QB runs and not calling plays to offset the physicality of the Lions’ DBs.  Add to that the over concentration on Brown.   Give him a D+.  C might be generous for the LBs.  I would give their run defense a D-.  Yes, it’s a win but the play calling was poor and the front 7 obviously needs more reps in the preseason. 

I think Detroit beats the Commanders next week.  We just have to take care of business against the Vikings.  Gmen have the Bears who won week 1.   Cowboys play a Bengals team that played terrible but almost still won.

Carson with 2 picks...QBR 101.  He also brought the team back to win after the Jags took the lead.  7 different players caught the ball,

You mention Doug and the Jags almost coming back to get the W.  What do you think the Lions did?  They came way back and I'd say the Eagles pulled out the W.  

Jonathan Allen, Montez Sweat and Darron Payne-15 QB pressures and 3 sacks.

Fletcher Cox, Javon Hargrave, Hasson Reddick, BG, Josh Sweat, Derek Barnett- 1 TFL, 4 QB pressures.

At the very least the teams are  neck and neck but nothing about yesterday tells me the Eagles are better than WFT.

 They didn’t look ready, but some props to the Lions, Sewell, Jackson, and Decker are pretty good O-linemen.
