There's a huge difference between saying, "PlayerB is as good as PlayerA," and saying, "I think PlayerB is a good WR3 when healthy." I asked an incredibly simple question. All that was needed was a simple yes or no, but you wrote a paragraph of bs. I didn’t ask you about anyone other than Quez friggin Watkins. None of this was necessary. Is Quez a mediocre receiver yay or nay. 

 

 

Pretty much feels like a disastrous season for Twinkle Toes. Gone for at least a month giving Jones time to acclimate himself into the system. Hopefully whatever is going on with Smith gets cleaned up too. His problems seem more of a lack of mental focus. People have been bringing up the fact he’s a new dad. Hopefully everything is okay at home. Recalling when Sirianni gave him that hug in the Rams game the media tried to act like he was upset over a lack of touches, but it really could be something more private and serious.

I think I read that someone confirmed it was a reaggravation of the first injury. So Watkins could very well be out for more than the 4 game IR minimum. If Oz or Jones or someone ... or a combo of players can actually help this offense out of its struggles a bit, they won't have to worry about rushing him back.

Yeah, he's not mentally focused, and it could be due to any number of things.  Hope he's OK!

I was like wtf? That response kept getting longer and longer I forgot what it was about and didn't read it all

In conclusion to the debate over Twinkle Toes his two biggest defenders a) refused to admit if they thought he was or wasn’t a mediocre receiver and b) couldn’t tell me when was the last time he did anything useful. You know it’s bad when the people defending you have no real argument for their defense other than people are being too mean to Quez which is ridiculous. It’s obvious that these two people are being contrarian just for the sake of being contrarians. 

I was a big Quez supporter (largely due to what *I thought* he showed in the 2021 preseason).  But it's fair to say the book is closed at this point.

He was a 6th round pick.  It's not like he was some egregious bust.  He has outstanding deep speed but struggles to do anything underneath and struggles with any of the nuances of the position.

It is what it is....they need to find a WR3 in the offseason.

Something tells me Quez has played his last down as an Eagle. The injuries and inconsistent play have come to this. Unless there are injuries I don't think he's back season even when he's gets healthy.

I think Smith is going to be fine. He had a bad game. It happens.

I am having a hard time believing that they are bringing back Quez in any capacity as well, because he’s done nothing to deserve their confidence to do so. With that being the case they brought back Barnett when I thought he should’ve been gone as well and they did it giving him a healthy contract that he’s still yet to earn so you never know. 

So Quez has been out since October 14th. Now that Goedert is out is there any chance Mr. Elite comes off IR to show and prove all of his doubters wrong?

I'd give him another month .. his eliteness isn't missed. Let him get that hammy all the way right so we can stop hearing excuses and let him put up or shut up for the playoff run.

Quez did go on IR so Dean could return. Time to repay the favor. 

The Eagles are 3-0 in games Quez played in this season and only 5-1 in games without him. 

Since this thread was started, there are more pages than Quez has catches.  He's a legend.

Well I don’t think a month will make his less trash and I don’t think I want to see him botch another playoff catch either. I say it’s time to put up or shut up. Besides we can get to see a bunch of videos of him running around not catching passes again with his fanboys telling us how great he is. 😂

I think he needs to do something to get Jalen to have some confidence in him again, because he’s not throwing his way unless he shows he’s no longer afraid of some contact.

Ideal scenario he comes back healthy and lights up the Giants and Cardinals that way in the playoffs when he's running those decoy clear out routes defenders actually pay him some attention.

Such great physical attributes to bad its such a waste. We are lucky Smitty was not a bust. We can't draft WRs it seems like.

Howie has also struggled with defensive backs, but I’m hoping he can turn that around this coming draft.

Moreover, other than the silly bubble screens, how often is he targeted at all?  If you say he isn't thrown to because Hurts has no trust in him, did Hurts not trust Goedert early in the season and has he not trusted Smith as of late, he surely hasn't been targeted much.  

The lack of spreading the ball around is going to burn the Eagles if it continues, count on it!

How much more do you want him to spread it around? Just about 7-8 receivers get receptions every week when the running game isn't going crazy.
