July 8, 2025Jul 8 Gonna be hard to win one now. Gonna need the bats to come alive in order to have a chance. Hopefully tomorrow we can score 15 runs. Lord help us
July 8, 2025Jul 8 Taijuan Walker has the chance to do the funniest thing ever tomorrow and throw a perfect game
July 8, 2025Jul 8 since June 1st the Phillies are 17-16. they are hitting .246 with RISP which would be 10th over that time. They’ve had 10 games where they got 0 hits with risp. Frankly their 10th is skewed cause they have these ridiculous games followed by a week to 2 weeks of games of bad. For instance go 6-15 vs. Mets in the first game. Then next 5 games 5-30 (.167). Then 5-11 vs. Atlanta in the first game. Then next 9 games 11-69 (.159). I brought this up last year starting in July. It’s exactly what they did then too. It’s a patten. They’ll have a big game or 2 then for a week and even 2 weeks be atrocious

Imo they really need a major bat acquisition. Can’t be an Austin hays or Castro type trade From the Phillies? Sanchez and Turner. Sanchez easily should’ve made it. The whole legends pick is dumb. Kershaw misses half the year and yet somehow gets on cause he’s a "legend”. There’s been plenty of "legends” that in the twilight of their career just don’t make it and it takes a roster spot away from someone who actually deserves it. I’d have said Ranger but he missed a chunk of the season. Turner is simply better than Donovan.
July 8, 2025Jul 8 This team will need a run like the Eagles first Super Bowl win if they are gonna win one. I don’t see it. JT is done, Harper is injured and the daycare isn’t good enough. Bullpen is shaky too.

LMFAO Just bustin' your balls as mine were when I talked about the Sixers and Flyers...just sayin'!!

I thought Turner would make it. I agree on Ranger.

I agree on Ranger.Actually prefer if Ranger doesn’t make it. Frankly said this the other day, should really skip his last start before the AS break. His velocity is down and they said they are attempting to ease his work load cause of last year. I brought up two starts ago his velocity has really dipped and he has begun doing a lot of twist stretches between hitters and even pitches. Which was the first indicator last year that his back was bothering him. If you skip his last start basically could have 2.5 weeks of rest which may help him long term. Issue is they sent down Abel and have Walker going today.
July 8, 2025Jul 8 Honestly I’m really really surprised someone didn’t just lose it on cuzzi and get tossed especially in the 8th when he was really bad

At this point, I'd rather go back to Nola and Walker as #4, #5 and give Suarez some rest.I also think Lazardo is going to need a break as well. Now is the time to get both of those guys some rest and use Walker (yikes) and whoever they can bring up plus Banks can start a game or two. Hopefully Nola can at least be average.

He had two good years with the marlins but really one year he had just 18 starts. Imo i actually think if Nola comes back and is solid that luzardo makes sense to be a bullpen arm in the playoffs. His stuff is electric and he can just full arsenal go for an inning maybe two. He makes more sense then moving nola to the pen as nola isn’t ideally meant for the pen. Some team is going to pay ranger is why i think he’s gone. But if he does break down again I’d have to imagine it significantly hurts his market. every year he misses a 2-4 weeks early. Then gets on a roll then misses about another month. Hard to justify paying top dollar for a pitcher that never seems to be able to put a full year in

I also didn’t say to trade the team lol.

In any case, I'd have him miss a start or two must to shake things up and see if that helps him a bit. Could just be a matter of mental focus. It certainly can't hurt if they can get something out of Nola.

A lot of teams around the league needing a 5th starter. If he’s just average a small small chance. What really holds it back from likely happening is his $18 mil in 2026.

Maybe I can psyche them up to go out there and pitch 6 scoreless innings to give us a chance unless I see Romano then I’ll most likely get tossed lol
