Reverse jinx works every time

2nd and 3rd with nobody out then 3 pathetic plate appearances follow.

Looks like it is going to cost them

Schwarbomb perfect timing

Tough watching this team because the future is so bleak, farm system is a joke and a bunch of terrible contracts and ageing players

I understand the sentiment. Terrible start to season. Holes in team. Payroll wasted here and there.

But as bad as it seems, we are presently gaining ground on the Braves. Schwarber hit his 30th homerun. Marsh is a bright spot. Sanchez was going great for a while.

And, the farm system needs talent, but there are still some nice players in the farm system, despite recent failures and health issues with Painter and Miller.

Gage Wood will arrive later this year or next. Rincones Jr may have been rushed.

It's years away, but I like what they have done with international signings.

It's definitely a mixed bag and not for the faint hearted, especially with the current bullpen woes.

They're literally the best team in baseball since Mattingly took over

This could get interesting

I think they will catch the Braves, that is for sure, that team is falling apart, but i just see the same ending as the last few years in the playoffs

Nola doesn’t know how to pitch a game without giving up home runs. If it wasn’t for his ridiculous contract he would be out of the majors by now. About to blow a 5 run lead too.

Why the flying ef wasn't someone warmed up in the bullpen 10 minutes ago? Whether it's Thomson or Mattingly, they never know the right time to pull this a hole.

Guys entering walker territory at this point

IMO, that's not mixed; it's a step in the right direction. If we can get over how far he's fallen to be in this position (not sure I can), that's a stat line that his quality of pitching in his last 4 major league starts would not achieve in AA, let alone AAA. He would not have gotten through 4 innings of 2 hit ball in AAA with how he was pitching. 10 days (or whatever it was) off and the reset help...and that's something to build on if he had "decent" command of the fastball.

On the negative side...the Phillies may be riding high right now (excluding tonight), but they WILL feel the pain of only having 3 starting pitchers. That's going to take an awful toll in the second half.

Happens every single time I even try to say anything even kind of positive about him lol.

They need to pay nola under the table to retire, the guy is a replacement level pitcher wasting space on the roster.

Same here. I'm always rooting for the guy. He's a good guy and he came up through the system unfortunately I think he's almost cooked at this point. I blame Dave of course for the contract, more than I blame Nola.

First 19 losses, 9 wins

Next 19 losses, 38 wins

If they keep up this progression, they'll lose less than 19 more games this season... 🤣

The fact that Bohm and Scott are finalists for the All-Star game, is a complete joke. The fans should never vote again.
