That's it, up to the pen now. Great outing for Nola.

He and marsh have been awful lately. Marsh is like 3 for last 28 and Stott 2 for last 28

Stott’s issue kind of began when he fouled that ball off his foot before the road trip

Damn, Nola pitching a helluva game. Glad those flyballs into the sun didnt cost him or the team.

Another good start from Nola. 👏

Yeah, good point about Marsh. Forgot about him. Probably because hes been invisible as well.

D Hill with the solo shot!!

Hill again, this dude has had some big moments

Schwarbomb!!!!

What a treat Nola has been lately. I couldn’t stand to watch him pitch because of how bad he’s been for years before this nice little stretch. Whatever he did or Cotham and him might’ve worked on, whatever it is I’m grateful for it and it truly is shocking to see him turn this around and pitch like he has during his all star year. This team wouldn’t be where they are today without contributions from every one in that starting rotation, where during the majority of the season we only had 1-2 reliable starters and now during the late surge for red October we have 4-5 reliable starters. Just a massive turnaround that I truly didn’t see possible. Well done Nola let’s keep it going

Tbh id move marsh to 9 hole. He’s basically useless right now. Move Crawford to 7. I think that helps Stott somewhat because you have some protection behind him as Crawford‘s actually been hitting well. Harder with a guy behind you not hitting well. Changes how they pitch to you. He’s also just had a bad 2 weeks since he got robbed of that HR

Maybe McFarlane shouldn’t be your set up guy and your setup guy Howland should stay as 8th inning guy

Sorry but that’s on Stubbs - you don’t throw a guy like that 7 straight fastballs

This team has no high leverage pitchers outside of Duran. Why didnt McFarlane throw him anything off the plate? He's a known chaser.

Tbh Stubbs needs to call better at the same time probably shouldn’t be relying on a rookie to be a setup guy. It should be Bowlan. Also Raley should’ve been used prior to this. He has pitched 1 time in 10 days.

Yep not a single pitch buried just threw him a meatball over the plate when he had him down 0-2

Bowlan is worn down too he’s getting hit hard these past few

He might not be worn down as much as they actually use the guy they traded for at the deadline. He’s pitched one time in 9 days. At some point in time that’s absurd for the fact that he’s actually good and they could use him.

Phillies find ways to lose games to good teams.

I like the late inning strategy by our bullpen of throwing nothing but fastballs in the middle of the plate

But yes it was nice of McFarlane and Duran to waste Nola’s great start

Can’t beat good teams with trash bullpen. This won’t change

Issues more your bullpen outside of Duran is not very reliable. Especially when a guy you trade for you don’t use more than once in 9 days. Dave repeatedly outside of 2024 has had crap bullpens or Makeshift. Even 2022 was basically eflin and Suarez being thrown into those roles. Hoping Alvarado and Dominguez could be used every day in the playofds. They needed two arms at the deadline. Got one they don’t use. The other guy stunk even before he got hurt

And Sosa swings at three straight in the dirt lmao

The Phillies have turned into James Franklin. Can’t win big games
