He’s the Phillies sunk cost fallacy. Because they invested so much money in him they don’t want to admit it was a mistake and just move on. So they keep him. You’ve already thrown the money at him and lost it. You’re not getting it back and he continues to be horrid. So at this point you having them on this team is taking up a roster spot for somebody else who’s more worthy.

September 8, 20241 yr Losing yesterday means this one is actually fairly important. We don't want to allow the Mets to get closer now with seven games coming up against them plus the series in Milw. Not critical but a win keeps the comfort zone in tact.
