September 8, 20241 yr Cool so we got hot for 3 weeks and reverted back to playing like crap again the last two games. Johnson getting tattoo’d

September 8, 20241 yr Stubbs getting some work is probably good. Hasn’t pitched in a couple weeks lol
September 8, 20241 yr There's no excuse for not winning a series against the Marlins. Guess Dombrowski doesn't care what playoff seed they are when he insisted all year on running Walker out there. Probably cost them 4-5 wins for the year.
September 8, 20241 yr Nola was the issue here. If he gives us a decent outing we win the series 3-1 and we aren't having this conversation. At least the Mets lost so the magic number is down to 13.

That’s when this started to slide. Felt like they lost the momentum that they built up because of that start. That said their hitting the last two days hasn’t been very good. They look a lot better on Saturday because they were down by so much and then they put some runs on the board. But for the most part, they were awful today and they weren’t very good yesterday.
September 8, 20241 yr You guys knew as soon as they passed LA that they would lose two in a row, right?

September 8, 20241 yr I feel like Walker exists on the roster specifically so he can eat 3 innings of relief on a day like today. Who cares if he just gave you a (lousy) inning before?
September 8, 20241 yr They should have traded a middling prospect for a middling back of the rotation starter at the deadline. Just anyone with a stretched out arm that can give you 5 innings of 4.8 era pitching as the 5/6 starter and then be off the roster in October. I don’t think having a scheduled blowout loss once per week is good for the psyche of the team. I guess they thought Walker was going to be that guy.

They should’ve just given up a lesser prospects and went after someone like they did with lorenzen or gibson

September 9, 20241 yr I know we said a couple weeks back those 13 games would tells us if they are back or not. But these next 13 games are likely going to determine what seed we are in the playoffs. Got 3 vs. rays, 3 vs. Mets, 3 at brewers and 4 at Mets. We are better then all these teams. Frankly I’d be disappointed if we go under .500 in this stretch. I think you are OK going 7-6 at worse. And hope for 8-5 or 9-4. Really would like to win the next 3 series and then split in NY.

A win tonight would be a very nice way to get started and also stop the short term bleeding.
