Phillies only have a game on the Dodgers who play the Rockies a lot the next week or so. But I just got that from the MLB site. Maybe it's not updated.

Yeah dodgers got 6 with the Rockies. However the Rockies at home against good teams are surprising solid.

Rockies lost tonight. If they have to go to LA for the NLCS it's less than ideal. 

I'm going to get crap for this, but I hate the celebration I watched tonight. They got close two years in a row and I'd prefer the mindset of keep it on ice...we have been here and aren't celebrating crap until we lock down the one seed. Don't drink and get a hangover and keep focused on the Mets tomorrow. Every game is going to matter now that they are tied. 

Getting close doesn't do jack for me after the last two years.

 

Getting that bye is huge for setting up favorable pitching matchups, at least in theory. And no Walker.

you wont because it was actually being asked on the media about this last year that the celebrations have to stop. i agree, they should because there's nothing to celebrate and it gets to your head and you start playing like crap. the division is so weak, that's the only reason why we are in the playoffs. they are not a contender. our bullpen is a mess, our starting pitching besides wheeler isnt very good, although i think our starting pitching will probably crash in the playoffs.wheeler is older, nola is very inconsistent, this could really bite us this time.

We have the 3rd best ERA in the NL behind the Braves and Brewers and that is with including our 5th Starters in there which will never sniff the post season.  I do believe this team becomes a different team in the playoffs when you take Wheeler, Nola, Sanchez and Suarez as your 1-4 starters.  Now...as long as our stupid hitters just don't swing for the fences when pitchers are throwing balls 2 feet off the plate....we should be fine!

As much as winning the division in New York against the Mets would be awesome, I think the bigger thing today is we need to see Ranger Suarez be closer to what he was prior to the injury. The Phillies are not getting through this postseason run without him eventually, being put in a big spot where they need him to pitch well. If he can manage to look a little bit closer to what he was prior to the injury, I would feel really good.

if we blow another playoff series, i dont want to hear stats this, stats that, if you are making excuses for this team again, you dont want to win a championship, you just like making the playoffs that's it. just like alot of people on here are just happy about making the playoffs and not winning it all.

Apparently Mets fans were ****ing about Phillies fans making fun of nimmo for saying to challenge this play when he was out by a mile. So this remake is awesome

Ranger’s velocity was up the first two pitches.  Now he’s just getting hit cause he’s leaving it right over the heart of the plate.

Homerun to Alvarez was poor command and leaving it in the middle of the plate. Either way Ranger is cooked. Every game it’s a ton of base runners. He has 5 in 1.2 innings already. Can’t continuously allow a ton of runners especially in the playoffs

He’s been hitting 91-93 consistently today when he needs too. His velocity isn’t the problem. Like that strikeout just now he got him on 93 which is his norm. Problem is his command is not where it was earlier in the season.

also think His back or oblique is bothering him. He’s trying to stretch it out after that last strikeout  

Not gonna win a championship with 1 good starting pitcher
