September 24, 20241 yr Glad they clinched the division. Still a lot of work to do. They haven't been unstoppable since a little before the All Star break. Need to get back in that early season groove somehow

September 24, 20241 yr Dbacks are up 1 game in the loss column on the Braves (1.5 games in general) and don’t hold the tiebreaker against them for that final wild card spot.

September 24, 20241 yr Last time we won the division I was a senior in college. Now I'm married with two kids despite still posting on this message board that whole time. Glad we finally won it, but somewhat meaningless if we don't at least make a WS appearance.
September 24, 20241 yr Nola has to be our #3 in Oct despite his propensity to lay an egg every few outings as Ranger shows no signs of being the guy from the first half of the season.

Tbh i was actually encouraged by ranger’s velocity last start. It was better than any point in time since coming back from the injury. That said his command just wasn’t where it needs to be or where it was early in the year. jayson stark was on 975 saying the Phillies were leaning toward Sanchez going game 2. I think it’s likely cause his dominance at home and just being more consistent down the stretch then nola

It has to be Sanchez at this point.

But, they are right there record wise. Justa game or so away from the bye. They have a good record against the Dodgers and other winning teams. And, all they need to do is win each playoff series by one game.

He’s your no. 4. He’s still better than most teams no. 4. They had that span of like a 1.5-2 months where they just weren’t. But when I look at the rest of the National League I still think the Phillies have the best starting rotation 1-4. I think their bullpen is probably top two in the National League. To me this is always going to come down to how they hit. It’s what it came down to in the WS VS. Astros and last year after game two of the NLCS. We can blame Kimbrel but really when you score 3 runs on average last 5 games and you score 1,2 and 1 runs in three of the games that’s the bigger problem. Like what you saw on Sunday night, Wheeler can keep you in it. But if the Phillies just can’t hit whatsoever and they can’t get those hits with runners in scoring position that they need without the HR it will end sooner than we want.
September 24, 20241 yr Spike Eskin is right, they over did the celebration with the 1 seed on the line, they are basically conceding tonight
