Where did this belief that first base is an easy position come from? First is very difficult

Keep telling us you never played baseball. Have you seen some of the players that played 1st? That goon on the Mets? John Kruk? MJS moved from 3rd to 1st late in his career because it was easier on his body.

Never played either position but 1st is not easy. No need to do something to know it is not easy

My issue when people kept talking about it, was the fact that he was just gonna completely deteriorate if he played the outfield for one more season. That was never gonna happen. Frankly, he’s gotten banged up playing first as well. But the fact that people were like we have to move him to first in 2024 otherwise he’s gonna deteriorate and fall apart was ridiculous to me.

i get it long-term that’s where you want him.  makes sense. One year in left or right field was not going to deteriorate him to the point of where he falls off a cliff especially going all in on this year. Especially if it meant you could bring somebody in to play first for a year that gives you another hitter in the lineup.

Not true, no matter how many times you keep saying it. Just stop already.

That is not a hit. The official scoring is ridiculous now

Clutching the division is nice, but  they need a bye

Ryan Madson was on the mound when they clinched the division in 2011.

What’s the magic number now for a bye? 2 games?

Yeah. Up 3.5 with 5 games to go. if we win tomorrow and brewers lose we clinch a bye.

Wonder if they’ll go with the hangover squad tomorrow given the celebration they’ll have tonight?

That’s right John!!! "I want my Fing trophy” we all do bud

It’s 5th starter day so it’s likely Walker or allard vs. Steele of the cubs. Steele is really good so I’m guessing everyone isn’t playing tomorrow

We are going streaking

The song is back
