How about AJ's hammy? What's going on there and did we ever find out why he was so upset on the sideline at the end of the game?

AJ's hammy is fine.  He was mad that Jalen was ignoring him and returning his texts.  They could be breaking up.  Not good.

Gannon vs Ryans, loser gets the Texans HC job.

That's a head coaching that's not likely to have a happy ending.

Strong>Hurts

@downundermike apparently thought enough of Carson Strong to use him in his avatar.  (Then later claiming it was all a "joke").

Sorry, you’re wrong. Josh Allen already had some of those traits before his jump. His jump happened because of his comfort and decision making. I don’t care what you say, Jalen WAS inaccurate. He couldn’t read a defense. And he couldn’t throw with timing. Could not. Now he can. But no one, ever, has made the jump in those specific areas the way he did. Ever. That’s why we all thought it was impossible, because it had never been done.

it’s funny watching you and Mike, because you both go through the same mental gymnastics to make some non-sensical point, just on opposite sides of the argument. Y’all should probably go on a date

Good lord man. RTK wasn’t the only one to see this jump from Jalen and no need to call him lucky because he was able to see something you couldn’t. Maybe the reality is that you don’t know what you’re watching?

Going around saying Jalen in one off-season learned to read a defense and throw with timing and accuracy just makes you look foolish to be honest. Nobody learns those traits in one off-season. He always had those traits; it’s just folks here were too blind to see them.

Switching things up

1. Who do you want to win the AFC?

2. Who is the better matchup assuming Eagles win?

3. Who do you think we'll see, assuming Eagles win?

For me I think Bengals is the answer for all 3, although #2 is close if Mahomes has a bad ankle.

1 & 2:  Chiefs.  They are the answer of #1 because they are also the answer of #2.  I think our chances are better against them with Mahomes dealing with his ankle (high ankle sprain won't go away completely in 3 weeks) and Andy Reid in a big playoff game.  Which leads me to...

3: Bengals

That's nothing.  @HazletonEagle wrote a sternly worded letter to Howie Roseman when Strong was cut.

How is this even a debate? Reid is a phenomenal coach who will clearly be in the HoF one day. His resume, even before drafting Mahomes (which he definitely deserves credit for anyway), speaks for itself.

Tim Tebow in 2011 (11 starts): 46.5%, 1,729 passing yards, 6.4 YPA.

Jalen Hurts in 2021(15 starts): 61.3%, 3,144 passing yards, 7.3 YPA.

Yeah, he was almost exactly Tim Tebow out there last year.

Cool stats, brah. Try watching games.

That's actually not what you said originally.

I was going to leave it alone but since you keep harping about it, your quote stated, "And Reid did not win until he got the best QB of his generation, and who could go down as one of the top 5 all time."  Nothing about "winning it all" or "winning a Super Bowl".

Which is objectively FALSE.

OMG, what the hell did you think I meant.  I know he won a bunch of playoff games, I know he won an NFCCG ( because I was still legally drunk the day after the Super Bowl against the Pats that we lost and could not go to work ).  I know he won the most playoff games in the history of the Eagles.

Get a grip man, read the post and analyze it.

Yes, it was a joke, that evolved.  Kind of like the Ruben Randle joke.  You guys are no fun.

I write him about it weekly.  He really needs to be brought back.

Tebow, just like Jalen is currently 1-1 in the playoffs.

Not sure he can find one. There's always Artie fartie

Yeah, no. He did none of that last year. None of it. You’re making things up. What a weird day. I got one poster telling me I’m a Hurts Hugger and I can’t handle any criticism of him, and I got two Hurts huggers getting defensive because of acknowledging he was bad last year. Y’all gonna have to fight this one out and and figure out which team I’m on. I’ve typed about 10,000 words praising Hurts over the last couple hours. Weird flex

We need a special rank for good posters in the blog. You know posters that hold the blog up to the standard of discussion we are used to historically.  Like the columns that hold up the Parthanon except instead of stone we are like standards of intellect and logical thinking.  You can pick the name though.

Plus I've heard Payton is asking for $25-30M per season for 10 years.  There are candidates out there who are far cheaper who have more recent success.

I’d also suspect he might think Jerry fires mccarthy next year so another team in the mix. However i still think Jerry wants moore as he can still control and manipulate him whereas Payton is more likely to tell him to F off

And Jalen's accuracy has never been so putrid as you make it out to be.  He wasn't going out in his first two years continually lofting balls over people's heads or into the dirt, throwing uncatchable passes all over the field.  He wasn't Tim Tebow out there.  He was giving his guys chances to make plays.  He had terrible WRs in 2020 and 2021 with the exception of a rookie Devonta who had his own issue with drops early in his rookie season.  Where was off was timing.  A throw might have been a little bit late in certain situations but again that is something that is naturally going to improve over time the more that QB exists in that system with the players around him.

He was late on throws a lot last season. Honestly, the speed in which he goes through his reads is probably a big reason why he looks so much more accurate this season. Especially on deep throws, last year it seemed he was a half second late on almost every one of them. This season he is letting it go on time.

How am I simultaneously getting harassed by people on two different sides of the same argument?

I will trade RTK for @Godfather, @hputenis can get stuck with RTK.

Did I say he should have thrown for more ??  I said he threw for 145 while the boys up front and Miles put in serious work, and WIP is not even talking about them.

Am I not allowed to point that out ??

Who wants to be stuck with that arsebag?

There is a system for that sort of thing, I'm still playing with it to learn more about it, but there's something in place that can be used for that

Kansas City even thought Mahomes is the best. Burrow is playing with a lot of confidence and believes he’s as good as anyone.
Kansas City will struggle stopping us too.
