Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

He could, it was just saying Gannon might try to convince him. It would depend on a lot of behind the scenes stuff we wouldn't be privy too. If Sirianni wants to take back play calling it would make sense for Johnson to go with Gannon because he would be in full control on offense. Also depends on the timing of everything and how fast Gannon is hired vs how fast Steichen is hired.

I would hope Sirianni would give Johnson playcalling if Steichen leaves.  I think Sirianni is fine not calling plays.  If I was Johnson, I would want to stay with the Eagles as an OC rather than go to the Texans.  The Texans are a bad team with no QB.  They're drafting a rookie and no matter how good he may seem it's going to take a while for him to develop.  If he stays in Philly he will have a talented roster that is going to be competing for at least a playoff spot if not a Super Bowl appearance.  It's a much better path to a head coaching job.

I assume that's what would happen, just throwing out hypotheticals of why he would leave.

It would be pretty funny if he ends up on the Raiders.

I think Miami, Raiders, Jets and Titans should be interested.  A dark horse could be the Colts.

Brian Johnson was born near Houston. That would probably be a big draw for him.

Yup and niners could be susceptible to some deep shots, their corners are meh.

My friend is quite huge Niners fan and he said one of their corners is pretty bad and we likely go after him.

Lenoir can get got.

In watching the all 22, I will say that this was the game in which the Eagles unleashed the dogs.

On the first series, we blitzed with Edwards on one play, used a five-man front of Reddick, Graham, Joseph, Williams and Sweat, used a four man front of Reddick, Cox, Hargrave and Sweat, used a four-man front of Reddick, Suh, Williams and Sweat and used a five-man front of Reddick, Cox, Joseph, Hargrave and Sweat, with Reddick stunting around both Cox and Joseph.

So basically every play we threw something new at their oline.

On the Bradberry interception, we had a five man front of Reddick, Cox, Davis, Hargrave and Sweat, so this is what Jones saw pre-snap.

And then after the snap, we blitzed with CGJ and dropped Reddick and Sweat into coverage.

So this is what the pass rush ended up being.

CGJ has an absolute free run at the qb, and Jones thinks he has an easy pass to the wr from the vacated space, but Bradberry has safety help and can easily drive on the ball to get the interception. Because Sweat drops into coverage, the ball has to be thrown toward the logo, leaving Bradberry with an easy play.

This was a great play design by the defense, and threw something at the Giants that I haven't seen on tape before, namely blitzing a db while dropping two linemen into coverage.

Even if the oline picks up the free rusher, where does the qb go with the ball? There might be a completion here, but it isn't going to go for big yards, and in this case we created an easy turnover.

Don't like Scott and Gainwell?

I don't think backup backs like that could score a touchdown or rush for 100 yards in a big game.

Agreed.

Let their LBs chase Smitty and Quez around if they want to keep them on the field.  No problemo.

They seemed to enjoy doing this vs. Dallas, so lets see if they want to so it some more.

Or blitz them against a qb bad at hot reads

Re-watching that game from last year and we should have won that.  Reagor going out of bounds running his route on his TD catch that got called back.  The awful edzone offense after the long Quez catch that culminated in the 4th down failed philly philly call.  Defense not getting the ball back at the end of the 4th after the offense scored to make it a 1 score game.  Eagles roster is now so much better than that team.  49ers is too but we are the better team.

The INT was a gift, both Dak and the WR failed.

I want Steichen to stay. Gannon not as much, but I'd love continuity.

Timing could be bad.

Gonna have a pretty good WR room to work with for whoever takes over...Ridley, Kirk, Agnew, the 3 YES THREE Joneses.

Jags’ weapons next year are gonna be strong. I think they’ll pick up one of the name free agent RBs too to compliment ETN and supersede Hasty’s waste of a roster spot

If it weren’t for this blog I wouldn’t even know who he is, and I’ve watched 6 jags games start to finish this year

That would be likely at least 5 more times than bacarty who’s anointed hasty as the jags best offensive weapon.

I hope a chick created these flyers. 😂😂

Forgot to do the winner for the Divisional Round predictions.

With a perfect prediction of 38-7, the winner is @mattwill

Bonus winners for the week are:

@BigEFly and @DrPhilly with Boston Scott TD

@Casey @ Bat who had Devonta Smith TD

and @FranklinFldEBUpper with Eagles never surrender the lead after halftime

Thank you.  Don’t I get a half credit for my Minshew gets snaps prediction?

I’m surprised to see Tucker that low in Brugler’s RB rankings. That’s a helluva group of RBs.

I just feel bad for any grown man who feels the need to break something, even if it's a $19 TV, because the team they cheer for lost.  Add to that, the guy is standing right in front of that 14" screen so none of his friends in the back can see.

I used to take Eagles football very seriously.  Never broke anything but I'd get super stressed and upset if they lost.

Luckily I've learned that it's no big deal.  You win some, you lose some.  Not worth getting all worked up over.

Please someone hit Simms with a battery if they get a clear shot. 1000% worth
