They throttled down at the end of the game... settled for a FG. You can't convince me that the Eagles would have stopped these guys had KC gotten more possessions. The only thing that stopped them from scoring  50+ was TOP from the offense.

To be fair, people could make the same argument about Tom Brady in Super Bowl LII (that they are making about Hurts). IMO, Hurts had the best game of any player on the field, but I don't agree with giving a game MVP to a player on the losing team. 

That actual winner has an actual award.

During the year, many who were pumping Hurts for MVP rightfully pointed out Mahomes high turnover rate (which lessened considerably in December) to discredit his campaign. 
 

So, Mahomes winning the turnover battle in the Super Bowl swings "best player on the field” to him IMO. Hurts fumble isn’t the reason we lost, of course, but you gotta apply the same standard.

Your opinion also said Mahomes should win MVP because of how many yards and TDs he had. Who had more yards and TDs in the superbowl? You just cherry pick and twist things for your argument. No I agreed that going into December Hurts was the MVP. Mahomes blew him away in December.

Mahomes is the best QB in the league. But  that we’ve gone from people saying that Hurts isn’t a viable starting QB to him legitimately being in the conversation as the second best shows how far he has come.
