When Obama ran for president he did some of what you're suggesting and then it was game over for McCain.

Socially conservative, financially liberal, foreign policy I don’t think plays much role in their voting but I suppose they would have a combo of dovishness combined with peace through strength machismo. I think Trump plays to them uniquely. But in the past their economic interests always superseded their social interests. Perhaps that changes a bit as they become more established in the economy though.

That is false. We were factually not in a recession. I’m sorry if you don’t know the meaning of the words that you use, but that’s a you problem. Much like Obama’s stimulus, this spending was not necessary. The crisis had already been averted. But as Rahm Emanuel said, "never let a crisis go to waste.” So the Dems used the opportunity to money dump their special interests, and the result was that they created the worst inflation in 40 years — possibly worse than the Carter years, since the calculations have changed so much. No amount of propaganda is going to change this fact. The voters know. They see it for what it is.
