Laughable. The dems rely on the poorly educated urban centers. Its all they held on to against a horribly corrupt gop candidate. Your ego is exactly what keeps you losing.

That used to be true, but that trend began to break in 2016 and has rapidly accelerated ever since. Just over a third of Trump voters have a degree, while half of Harris voters do. If you have data that conflicts with what I just posted, feel free to share it.

You shouldn't, because you're right. Accoring to exit polling, the perception of the economy was the main reason given, especially among those with lower levels of income and education.

Voters who were focused on the economy ended up breaking hard for Trump. Those who said inflation was the most important factor for their vote were almost twice as likely to support Trump over Harris, and about 6 in 10 voters who said the economy and jobs were the most important issue facing the country were in his camp.

The political divide between higher-income and lower-income Americans was stark, with Trump gaining slightly among voters whose household income is less than $100,000 per year, while Harris held steady with voters who make more than that.

It doesn’t matter what she said. She’s a Democrat and everyone rightly identifies the Democrat Party with social insanity.

Yes of course every POTUS candidate distances themselves from their party’s vanguard, just like Trump said he wasn’t interested in project 2025, and the left still tried to beat him over the head with it.

Also the campaign doesnt exist in a vacuum. Her comments on sex changes for prisoners killed her and rightfully so

I really didn't believe it either.  I coached the 11u Pop Warner football team this year (basically all 6th graders) and verified that my boy wasn't messing with me.  There are no litter boxes or sand boxes at the school...yet.  I'll ask my boy if they smell bad after work and report back.  That should give us a good idea if they bathe or lick themselves to clean.

in my neighbor's case, former H addict parents who are now drunks and blame society for everything bad in their lives.

Totally sounds like a second grader to me.

Did you see their other ads?

It was the single worst ad campaign in the history of politics. It was so bad I almost made a thread on it before the election.

It was like if you had the most flamboyant gay man in the Democratic Party meet with the most finger wagging nag of a feminist in the Democratic Party, gave them an unlimited budget, and told them to reach out to straight men.

I would argue Hillary's was worse but...

It is really funny to hear the right-wing harp on the Harris campaign for being too far left. That is what the Trump campaign told you. In reality, Harris was courting moderate Republicans, she did not run on trans-issues (not a single trans-speaker at the DNC)...

In reality, the ultra-left is skewering Harris for courting right-wing votes, for not supporting Palestine. For not taking up the issues they care about.

That's the fine line democratic candidates always have to walk. Bottom line is if groceries and gas were cheap, she would have won.

I have a kid in middle school too, and have seen enough about what happens in their text message threads to know that these stupid ass clowns take pictures of literally everything that happens before, during, and after school, even when they're in a class that specifically forbids use of a phone, thereby risking it getting confiscated and having to be retreived by a parent. If even a fraction of these furry stories are real, I'd imagine there would be more pictures of them in a school setting. If you can't convince someone cow-tipping isn't real, ask them why there aren't hundreds of videos of it on youtube.

In the minds of voters, yes.

The key difference is that project 2025 has not been implemented, but the world has had a decade to see the leftist social issues become an institutional force. And they don’t like it.

If Trump does implement project 2025, and it’s unpopular with tangible real world results that touch the voters’ day to day lives, with crazy things like roving bands of looters and dudes in dresses raping girls in their bathrooms, then the GOP will be face similar stigma.

The only way your argument holds any water is if Biden was some conservative democrat. He won big in 2020. Pelosi and the democrats won big in 2018. They weren't far to the right of democrats in 2024. The difference is groceries were expensive and people romanticized that they were cheaper when Trump was president.

New Jersey was only as blue as Virginia this Presidential election (as it stands now).  Is this a trend towards becoming a swing state, or is this a one-off?

It's not like she ran on that in 2024. Those comments were from 2019. So basically he 2020 campaign killed her 2024 campaign.

Foxnews would be running a story every week if they could locate these "cat" kids. People are so gullible.

Unless Trump manages to run for another term I'd assume it's a one-off.

I am sooooooooooo happy I didn't have kids.

My oldest brother is now in assisted living due to early onset dementia; he's also been treated for depression most of his adult life.  I've been taking him to a psychologist once per month (out of his own budget) and I can tell you from waiting in the waiting room during his sessions that every -- and I mean EVERY -- patient coming into the office walks in with a little kid.

These people would honestly rather pay a stranger $200+ per hour to explain life to their kid rather than do their own parenting.  It's really sobering to see.

This is like everything else, weirdos instead of seeking help for their mental illness, find other weirdos on the internet to reassure each other that they're not weirdos.

you like to talk about cult, but you keep missing is that people end up voting for the person more than the platform

I'm not saying it's rampant.  Just happen to be 2 in the 6th grade center at our school district.  I don't even have an issue with it honestly (besides allowing them to use the boys room), it's just funny to me.  My boy doesn't have a phone yet.  Can't be trusted and most of these kids use snap which deletes them message after a certain time frame.

So I was under the impression they were furries until my boy came home a corrected me and explained the difference between therian and furry.  It's friggen hilarious, imo.

Parents taking stories like this at face value almost makes me question what school they attended when they were that age, because apparently all the rumors they heard back then must've been 100% true.

I'm not saying it didn't sink her. My wife made the point that her campaign "was doomed from the start" and this is yet another example. TEW in his victory lap, is saying how horrible her campaign was. I'm saying it really doesn't matter what kind of campaign she ran, she never really had a chance for a multitude of reasons. This is clearly one of them. She couldn't walk back what she said in the last campaign.

I would ask my kids about this, but that's just not a conversation I want to have. They go to Catholic schools so I doubt this is a thing in their circles.

Sure, or it could also just be a story that started with a grain of truth and was embellished for effect every time it was retold.
