imo, a trade down only to 5, and getting rid of PG's contract is a win. Even moreso, if Ace Bailey actually falls to pick 5.

Is VJ’s floor or ceiling skill equivalent to someone like OG?

If not Ace, Im thinking Kon. Now that workout numbers are out there, hes a lot more athletic than given credit for.

What you are getting, if not drafting Ace, is a role player. Kon or VJ, both role players. Kon is more athletic than people expected (imagine that). And we dont need more guards.

If VJ can give you similar output as someone like OG, I’m good with it. I know he isn’t the same size or length but a solid two way guy with a little length.

OG is bad comparison. I thought VJ has a 6 10 wingspan. I guess it’s more like 6 8.

Is getting off PG’s contract really that important right now? I’m not so sure it is. Let the young guys play and see what you have in them for the next 2 seasons. We aren’t contenders or close to it. Maybe next season you trade him. Who knows, maybe he plays a season for us and his value goes up. I don’t want to lose value in our draft decision just to get off his contract right now but if it happens to workout, then do it.

Is Tre Johnson a legit playmaker? Looks good on the highlights but never saw him

play real games. He would take some of the scoring load off Maxey.

Bailey didn’t just cancel, he did it last second. Shams was on tv saying they had 2 full days of him scheduled for different things and he cancelled at the last second.

I think yes. Because you also extract value while some teams may think he still actually has value. The longer he is here, and accumulates more injuries, and plays less effectively, then the worse his contract looks. If its still tradable this year, then you do it before its not tradable.

Im not sure his value can get any lower than it currently is. It can only go up from here, even if he is washed or not. Maybe some team is desperate at this years trade deadline. If you trade him next year, the team trading for him will only have 2 years of wasted cap space so whatever picks we send don’t need to be as valuable.
