May 13May 13 Trade Paul George for Sabonis.Between Embiid and Sabonis, we could cover 75% of the starts for a center.

Tobi grew balls & is balling out. joe & mccain in okc doing their thing. harden was barely a sixer but he played great last night. I’m probably missing more guys…but it’s been interesting to see how these guys have taken a step forward after leaving philly.

Last two games he’s shot 6-17 and 6-19 and from 3 he’s a combined 3-12.

Like his 0 game performance in his last game as a Sixer. Or game 6 vs. Boston in 2023 where he had 2 points. Game 5 vs hawks with 4 in 2021. Only year he really didn’t do that was the 2022 (might have been his best run as a sixer granted was 4th option behind harden, maxey and embiid) and 2019 playoffs where he was basically the 4th best player.

Frankly i think PG you can but Embiid you can’t. This is all going to come to a head going into 2028-29 when Embiid is an expiring contract and so is Maxey. If Maxey tells you he’s unsure if he’s extending then you got to consider letting Embiid’s contract play out and trading Maxey for what you can get

I have been saying for about 3 years now that the pendulum in the NBA is swinging away from super teams, and more towards well built teams with depth. I wish we had a GM that was as quick as me to notice trends. And these guys have whole analytics departments...On the second one, I do give them a little bit of benefit of the doubt on that. You had Embiid missing a ton of games, and Paul George suspended who at the time was also not healthy at all. So, they may have thought, this isnt the year. We have to remember, there is a repeater tax and it also hard caps you. Its very, very restrictive. So, you have to be careful when you are in the tax. Like they said, if you are going to do it, it needs to be worth it.I believe three things can be true at the same time. A) Harris is willing to pay the tax (if it makes sense), and B) He told Morey to duck the tax this year because circumstances surrounding this season did not look good. Finally, C) Morey made the wrong move to duck the tax. Undeniably. He could have traded any other bench players. Not only did he trade the wrong guy. He also took horrible terrible value for him and then talked it up like he sold high on the guy. He compounded his idiotic decision three-fold.

The rockets make sense if they want to deal KD. Pretty close to Matching. However it doesn’t help you clear money faster. Essentially also KD is a pain in the ass and also doesn’t stay healthy. But it is likely an option of rockets can’t get more than just that deal. Pelicans if you take back Poole, include 22 and take back Murphy for PG. Or could do Murray who has multiple years left whereas Poole is an expiring contract. Could also work with pg for Murray/poole, jones and bey as get guys with 2 years left or Poole with an expiring. Not sure the pelicans want PG is the question but they could use veteran leadership. Don’t think either are likely tbh
