But in 2027 off-season they have a bunch of cap space and supposedly they are preparing to go after a big fish and build the team around that piece too. So I am guessing they are gonna go in on signing at least a star player that is available or try to acquire a star player that is available. So there’s a good chance that that pick falls outside of the lottery and it’s not nearly as valuable as we think. i do wonder if they can somehow get off Joel Embiid‘s contract by giving up that pick and that’s the only first you have to if they consider making it.

May 18May 18 Least shocking is that Tobias Harris no showing for the pistons in game 7 (really bad last 4 games of their season). 5 points and 0 made field goals in a game 7. Game 6 wasn’t much better. Last 4 games of the series he shot 14-49 (28.6%) and 3-16 from 3 (18.8%).

Identify who actually wants to come to this dysfunctional organization.Lay the ground work this week, going into the holiday weekend.An announcement in early June, one week after Memorial Day.We need the GM in place for trades and scouting well before the draft.

Whereas he could have shed dead weight like Watford, Walker, Justin Edwards, Bona, or Grimes, he decided to trade a potential star on his rookie deal.Morey is by far the most at fault for that decision. He had to get under the tax, so of course he had his orders from above. But his choice of ways to do so was basically the 3rd worst choice he could have picked, only after trading Maxey, and trading VJ.To make it worse, not only did he choose trading McCain as the way of ducking the tax, but he got horrible value for him and tried to tell us through the media that McCain actually stinks.
