This is one of the most pathetic basketball performances I've ever seen.

Refs tried giving Miami the game.  Can't believe they called a foul on that Butler 3 attempt.   Nobody even touched him.

So if Eagles were to win a Super Bowl, Kelce still comes back?

I'd bet this is his last year either way, but especially if we win. Go out on top, nothing more for him to do. There already isn't anything more. He's a sure fire HOF at this point in time, another super bowl win just gets him in earlier

Leave it to the Phillies to hit for the cycle, score 8 runs, just moss a go ahead homerun and lose the game. This team just sitting around waiting to get a fifth starter is just going to eventually take its toll on the pen and just expecting painter to eventually come back and be fine is also an idiotic risk. He might just need the TJ like they tried to avoid with dominguez but then dominguez still needed it. Either make a freaking trade for a 5th starter or bring up McGarry. He can’t be worse then these ridiculous bullpen games and garbage they run out there as their 5th starter

So, you went tonight, Moosh?  Or do we have that to look forward to for tomorrow?  🙃

No watched that one in tv. Going to the game tomorrow. So expect another crippling loss lol.

So tickets go on sale in less than 2 hours.....big question is for me, when you go to ticketmaster....how the f do you know which tickets are the right tickets and not the over-priced resale tickets?!?!?!?

IMO, this team isn’t good enough to give up high end prospects to max out their potential this year.  Not to mention, it won’t be long before Wheeler is a mid rotation guy and Nola is a back rotation guy.  They need to develop Painter, Abel, and McGarry, not unload them.  If McGarry is the most MLB ready, then bring him up.

Been awhile but I think they have a filter setting

Lots of people thinking Howie is going to make a significant trade. Trade for who?

Just got two to the Dolphins game......was like $340 for upper section, but like $143 per ticket, and then another 50'ish in f'ing fees.

Riveting stuff Ed

Don’t have to give up high end talent to just get a competent 5th starter. Unless they are trading for Shane Bieber like not giving up McGarry, Abel or painter. The issue the Phillies have is they are waiting on painter to come back and the way it’s looking it might not be til after the all star break. And even if he comes back who says he stays healthy. There’s a chance he comes back and his arm still doesn’t feel right and he needs TJ. Feels eerily similar to what they tried to do with dominguez and he needed the surgery anyway.

I would be interested in what the record for other teams around the league is when they have their 5th starter on the hill, or a bullpen game.   Seems to me that it would be very low across all of baseball.  It's not just a 'Phillies' thing.   Granted, it would be good to have a better option than what they currently have... BUT... such is baseball.   I think they might be slow playing Andrew Painter's elbow recovery with the hope that he can be the 'trade deadline' addition to the roster to fill in that 5th starter spot and offer them more down the stretch than they are currently getting.

I’d bet the teams who are currently in the playoffs and the best teams in the league are not 2-10 in those games. You don’t have to be 10-2. You just can’t be 2-10. They are 30-24 in all other games. If you 5-7 then you are still in good shape. You are basically giving up a loss every 5th day and that also means your other 4 starters have to pick up for that and so far this year the SP has been inconsistent

Also the difference between other teams and the Phillies is majority of other teams aren’t going bullpen games every 5th day. So not only are you 2-10 in those games but you are taxing your bullpen every 5th day so by the time we get to august they are gonna have another issue. Additionally one of the reasons they lost yesterday was they couldn’t use Alvarado, dominguez and soto because they removed walker after 83 pitches in the 5th and retiring his last 7 hitters the day before. 3 of them threw a ton of pitches so no way they were being used the next day. If you know you are having a BP game the next day and walker finally had settled in then you need to try and get him to at least 6 innings. The Phillies may have won a bullpen game yesterday if soto or dominguez were available to pitch instead of marte and some other guys we know aren’t good enough

also, we are just expecting Andrew painter to be completely healthy? They pulled the same thing with sirAnthony Dominguez. He had the same elbow issue. they kept pushing his return back and then finally they did to hope he’d be a deadline type addition. He still needed the surgery at the end of the day. There is a chance that painter comes back that elbow still isn’t right and at that point he needs surgery and you’re gonna need to make that move anyways. they are actually better off just making the move for a back end of the rotation guy and if painter comes back healthy then you can spread out your rotation to a six man rotation so guys are fresher down the stretch and you aren’t taxing painters’ arm and innings.

Just the beginning of the effects from the Josh Allen Madden curse.

I can see them finishing 3rd behind NYJ and Miami.

I’d argue the jets defense might be the best of those 3 teams. They were good last year with bad QBs that wore them out as the season went along. So if rodgers can play like he did back in 2021 then the jets are gonna be really good. Question is more is rodgers more 2022 version or 2021. If he’s 2022 they’ll likely be competing for a playoff spot. If he’s 2021 have a chance to be one of the best teams in the afc

Maybe if i get wasted enough and don’t know I’m at a baseball game it’ll be like I’m not there and they’ll win lol

Trade for Diggs, sign Hopins. Brown, Smith, Diggs, Hopkins... Super Bowl.

I agree.  They need a better option for the 5th game.  But, they were counting on Painter to fill that role to start the year.  And now they are stuck with the need for another one, but getting one that's worth the cost is going to be tough.

I would like to see where other teams are across the board.  The Dodgers threw a bullpen game the other day to the Phillies... Phillies won.  How often have the Dodgers done that this year?  I don't know.  Nor do I know their record in those games, but I would be curious.
