Fred Johnson is a FA. Would be nice to retain…actually fairly key depth piece.

Isaiah Rodgers I’m high on retaining

Britain Covey we should keep around

How about your boy Gainwell? Nobody will sign him as any kind of starting option. Looks to me like Shipley I’ve been much higher on already surpassed him. But I wouldn’t be against keeping Gainwell at near vet minimum. He’s worth that.

So now with everybody already having this wide spread discussion being like No Mas has stated…apply what Rosie states in that existing environment:

"It may look different -- some of the moves that we may have to make here may not be what are necessarily on other peoples' minds," Roseman said, via PHLY. "It's probably not going to look like maybe the conventional wisdom thinks it should look. I would just ask our fans to just have patience throughout the offseason. The offseason doesn't stop in free agency. The offseason doesn't stop in the draft."

‘Have patience it doesn’t end with FA or the draft.’

Seems like he’s telling us all pretty darn clearly what he’s planning…without specifically naming the guys he’s actually targeting. Talking about secondary FAs and vet cap casualties…that’s what I’m hearing. He wants to position us to be ready to make those moves.

Plus what us hard core fans understand that the lesser fans don’t…some extending  our own guys and signing retaining these depth players like a Fred Johnson. No headlines will be made over keeping guys like him. Not the splashy moves most fans will even really consider.

I don’t think Rosie ever gives away his plans or intentions….but I actually think this statement he actually was pretty directly telling us his plans here. I believe he’s telling the truth and not a smoke screen.

"It may look different -- some of the moves that we may have to make here may not be what are necessarily on other peoples' minds,"

Sounds like this is him directly sounding off on what all the local talk has been about to me.

If we lose Becton, Baun, Sweat and Milton…what do you believe we’ll get in return with compensatory draft picks? Somewhere around being equivalent to four fourth rounders in 2026? If we don’t bring in anybody ourselves.

How many times have I stated that we all understand this already? That with everybody understanding this he’s stating after that being known. Do we retain any of the four?

Again...then you confirm that Howie didn't reveal or state anything that wasn't obvious.   " good morning " when it's morning.

Because what are on people's minds... are resigning our guys or trading for Garrett.

The rest of the stuff that we know will happen... draft,  signing guys who will be discarded from other teams.   All those under the radar things... AREN'T ON ANYONE'S MIND!

BECAUSE WE KNOW IT HAPPENS EVERY YEAR.

His statement was almost exactly the opposite of what you’re saying here

I heard him say plenty in these statements actually. Thought you’d also hear it and understand it.

No Mas, your saying he’s stating the obvious when…his statement revolves around its not going to look like the obvious conventional moves….its going to be different he’s exactly telling us.

Now maybe that just means he’s not going to pay the guys in the trenches but cough up big dough to the LB.
That would qualify as not traditional thinking from him.

I believe I heard what Rosie was saying. It spoke to me. Clearly learned my lessons to not assume my understandings and opinions to be everybody else’s here though.

So No Mas please share with all the talk you’ve heard what is the popular opinion conclusions?

Wow...now you may be getting it.  Baun is heavily rumored to be the #1 priority to resign.  Now from a position standpoint that is different.  But also he should be the cheapest one out of the main 4.

I don’t think he’ll be the cheapest

So Rosie responding saying it probably won’t look like most are thinking…if most are thinking we retain Baun…you could easily assume he’s replying to that. His price I don’t see as the cheapest. He could have a very robust market out there. Especially when I pointed out how slack this draft is with off ball LBs.

I would assume Becton would easily be the cheapest of the big four

He’s the only one I can’t see signing for 15 mil or more.
