So No Mas please share with all the talk you’ve heard what is the popular opinion conclusions?

The conversation has been ....which of these 4 do we resign ( with it being obvious we won't resign them all)

The other conversation is about trading for Garrett.

Nobody is talking about who will be the next under the radar Baun type signing...because we know they will sign a few of those ...but that's what makes them under the radar because nobody thinks they will have a season like Baun.  So its not on anyone's mind.

Also... we know there won't be " offset" of comp picks....because they would just resign our guys.

So ... it's not going to be conventional...where we resign all our guys or go after big name free agents

I think what you always do is read into it too much...." master plan" that needs to be done now.    Basically he is saying the obvious,  what you should have figured out...the " master plan " in February doesn't matter...because the whole offseason is what counts.   The moves don't need to be made in any kind of order.

So maybe first move is extending Blankenship or Jurgens or making an offer to Rodgers. Maybe we wait and resign anyone of the big 4 after they went through initial part of free agency.

Who knows.  He is basically telling you to stop worrying about " master plan"

Just wait and see.. and continue looking at East Valley Appalachian State Tech for draft sleepers.

To stay we’d need Becton to sign for less than ten for sure I’d believe. I really struggle to even see him as the guy to commit our resources towards. Not trying to really totally knock him as a player of whatever. But prioritize extending Cam. Would be real weird to pay Cam less than Becton. Plus just don’t see it as a position of team need. Good player…at a position we have an extended pipeline of other options at the most.

I don’t think he’ll be the cheapest

Really?   The oldest and playing the cheapest position....who do you think will be cheaper?

So Rosie responding saying it probably won’t look like most are thinking…if most are thinking we retain Baun…you could easily assume he’s replying to that. His price I don’t see as the cheapest. He could have a very robust market out there. Especially when I pointed out how slack this draft is with off ball LBs.

Is that what " Rosie" said.   Btw...are you from SF originally?  Calling an adult " Rosie" seems very SF type of culture.

Give the exact quote again...

He’s the only one I can’t see signing for 15 mil or more.

You expect Baun to get $15 million per???    Lol

I appreciate your response…minus the attitude. But you just don’t have an understanding of what a master plan is. Rosie has a master plan. Every GM does. But developing a master plan is always fluid. Never just one set option for each position. It’s figuring out the ‘lay of the land.’  He’s telling you about how he’s seeing his master plan will work out.

Becton clearly cheaper than one of the top defenders on the whole league

Thought it been pretty clear that Buan will be the top target in FA

Always felt like Sweat was going to be gone after this year and he probably get himself a decent payday.

Milton at the start of the season thought maybe we could sneak into keeping him cheap but not sure that will be the case anymore he likely will get a good offer as well.

Becton is the odd one for me he played well enough to get paid but I could also see him willing to take a pretty sizable pay cut to stay. Likely come down to the teams he gets offers from sure he doesn’t want to end up like his NY stints

Baun played inside LB...is the oldest...Becton and Williams are entering year 5...that's prime free agency...both are linemen.

What is the average price for a 28 year old inside LB with one year of success?

It only takes one team to drive up the price... but idk... 3 years 40 million to me seems high-end for Baun.  Wouldn’t be surprised if it was closer to 30 million.  Probably with an out after 2 years.

See and I’d say this would be a fairly common thoughts on what will transpire. So if this is the common opinions of Eagles fans then what would Rosie’s statement mean responding to that? When he’s directly saying it won’t be what most are thinking it will be.

I mean I’d image Buan and Becton will be around the same price.

Top paid LB in the nfl only makes 20m Buan isn’t getting that money more realistic would be somewhere around Patrick Queen money like 10-13m a year(not the cap hit but the avg.)

Top paid G is 21m that is Dickerson I’d image Becton will also be in that 10-15m range

Ham... you don't have an understanding that the world doesn't always work according to " master plan" it's why you obsess over SF clearing the cap in 2017..  2019 we didn't have cap space for once this century... 2022 Siri called plays early.

You can't fathom the idea that things aren't perfect and go according to some plan at the start.

Things and people change and successful people adapt.

I think we are going to make a splash and go for Myles Garrett not a huge norm for us we tend to value our own guys more then going outside the building especially on the lines

So great place to come from. This being the common thinking. So how would you explain Rosie making this statement if this is the climate he’s speaking on?

It may look different -- some of the moves that we may have to make here may not be what are necessarily on other peoples' minds," Roseman said, via PHLY. "It's probably not going to look like maybe the conventional wisdom thinks it should look

But again that just me guessing

On the open market as a FA? Yes

This also makes it sound like we could be looking to deal a young player? Could Jordan Davis be on the block? Instead of using the 5th year option or extending?

The attitude is because you have to read something into every thing you hear.  Turn off the Hollywood motor and be a normal person for once.

Not everything is a big deal.   Lose the attitude towards your hall of fame GM and the most successful head coach in your franchise history.   You don't need 35 posts defending every mistake Hurts makes.

This is how any decent GM works. You come up with a plan. Massive ordeal.

We shall see.  I think it will be close with Becton being more... unless he takes less to resign

See I’m pretty with you here. That’s why hearing Rosie say be prepared for it not to be what most of you are thinking…pretty much was him letting us know …this isn’t what’s going to happen. I do think this is what most of us are kind of looking at that situation and seeing. What most of us assume is the plan….would he exactly opposite of what Rosie stated.

His words were " conventional " ... that means a lot of things including the order of moves. Or again...what is on people's minds.  They are thinking resign our guys and trade for Garrett...nobody is thinking ahead to other moves yet....so those moves may occur first.

Relax....go scout some players...this is your time of year.

Most of us don't assume too much of just one plan.
