Let’s see…was on the verge of being fired in his first year. Amazingly wasn’t fired after the biggest collapse his third season. Then was facing being canned last season if we lost to the Browns.

WOW he was responsible for the collapse all alone, and he gets players injured too. Where was your "leader" during all this?

The adjustments we finally were capable of after hiring Moore? Yeah Moore did a fantastic job.

SO,A) you admit we grew as a team and B)adjusted along the way as needed. Thanks for self debunking 2 of your erroneous points

Always been #HurtsHater central around here

RE: DWD. Any stain on Hurts bronze statues balls is cause for the "hater" moniker to surface. You cannot say 1 bad thing about Ham's god. He is perfection rolled into 1 person and has carried our entire team alone since he got here. That cannot be disputed. You cannot make any observations as to how he could have improved as a QB, list any weaknesses, point out any game errors that you have seen over the last 4 years. Do not tarnish Ham's god. The entire offense would be DOA if he wasn't here and he's had to work through multiple coaches that all should have been fired . Big Dom is the glue that holds this entire team together. Siri can't coach, Patullo already sucks without 1 snap being taken. Thank god we have Hurts to lead us into the promised land. We can't win a game without him 🤣

Jordan Davis getting the 5th year option for $12.9 mil. I'm surprised unless they reach a deal for an extension ASAP.

I’m not concerned with the passing aspect of the TE Calcaterra is a liability in the run game and we ask a lot of our TE in the ground game.

Calcaterra in the run game is not a liability. He is a solid move blocker. Where he falls short of desired is inline blocking. He isn’t terrible there, just subpar. He is a better move blocker than Ertz was/is, and an equally good/bad inline blocker.

Goedert has spoiled us.

He was playing for the Giants

Ehhh..... that's a little generous. He absolutely can catch the ball.

Either way...only under contract one more year here.

We couldn’t punch through a wet paper bag by seasons end….with a very talented O.

The Offense was in the top 25% in Total Yards, second in Rushing Yards (first until the meaningless Week 18 game), and top 25% in points per game. In Week 17 they scored 41, in Week 16 they scored 33, in Week 17 they scored 27. That paper bag you referred to was in tatters.

If we got in a similar player to Goedert why would it change?

It wouldn’t

Guess we trying again with another rugby player 6’1 243 no clue what position he is going to try and play

Eagles Are Again Trying To Tap Into The Australian Rugby...

The Eagles are doing their best to corner the Australian rugby market. Second-team All-Pro left tackle Jordan Mailata has been the crown jewel of the NFL’s Inte

And if we moved Geodart and Cal took over his job he would then be asked to be the inline TE and he would be a liability… he is a decent #2 but when I made the comment it was referring to the idea of Cal taking over for Geodart if we traded him

I hear you, but if the play being called is obviously a running play … obvious to the opposing Defensive Coordinator, then going to a Jumbo alignment with an OL replacing Calcaterra will likely happen.

Further, what we saw during Goedert’s unavailability this season, the play calling used TE motion much more, so that Calcaterra was on the move before engaging his blocking assignment on running plays. That played into his strength rather than succumbing to his weakness.

The great O mind...lol

Kinda funny they were only really good the year Caff stayed healthy. We did exceptionally better after getting Bark, so RB's matter if they are top shelf exceptional

Idk... we haven't seen a 6th OL used much it at all...in s while.

We didn’t need to … because we had Goedert and Stoll.

Goedert missed 7 games. Still no 6th OL.

I love your optimism ... but we need to look at reality. At the moment, we don't have any TEs that are under contract past this year.

And with football, you have success when you can do multiple things out of the same formation..the same look. It prevents teams from seeing tendencies and knowing what's coming and increasing their chances of stopping it.

You are forgetting the 2024 reality that the Eagles outscored their opponents by 160 points … over 9 points per game, and with Barkley running for 2,000 plus yards there was little need for play calls where the extra blocking of a 6th OL was needed.

In addition, they were getting reps for Calcaterra in move blocking situations, so that when/if crucial running play situations did arise, they weren’t going into those situations cold.

And again this keeps to the point of the way we utilize our TEs they are massive part of the run game we are unlikely to go with an extra OL even if we trade Geodart we are going to expect the next TE to be able to block inline.

I like Cal he is a good #2 TE but don’t see him as a viable replacement as the #1 TE because of all the things we ask of that position especially inline

I agree with you in principle, but also am acutely aware that the number of TEs in this Draft that matched that description was one, Tyler Warren. Further, the number of TEs in the NFL that matched that description can (probably) be counted on two hands.

When you look at the Tight Ends in the Hall of Fame, how many of them were in the Goedert mode and how many in the Ertz mold?

Not forgetting anything, it's not going to be 2024 forever. Right now we don't have a TE under contract past this year.

Some good blocking TEs in this group.
