I am far from perfect. But I do obsess over Eagles football

That is crystal clear. What seems to be missing in that obsession is balance and humility.

I don’t try and talk about areas I know very little about. But when it comes to Eagles football I formulate my own opinions.

All of us have the right to have opinions … and to respect the opinions of others. I respect your opinions, but frequently disagree with them.

If you are referring to me..which couldn’t see otherwise? How was I not the fan that exactly saw the whole time how things needed to unfold to reach those exact accomplishments?

Why does that matter? Why is it relevant. All we are is fans. What we think and say is irrelevant. We don’t go out on the field. We don’t put our bodies on the line. We don’t put our reputation on the line. And we don’t put Laurie’s money on the line. It bears repeating … we are irrelevant.

My views were based on our team will only reach a ceiling based on how far we can get installing and improving in Moore’s O. My offseason statement about exactly one year ago.

We installed Moore’s O in weeks 1-4 and it failed badly. We installed Stoutland’s O in weeks 6-18 and the Playoffs, and it succeeded handsomely.

That O Fl labeled as the KISS O wouldn’t have succeeded in the playoffs.

It succeeded in the Wild Card, the Division, and the NFCCG games. Because of the approach Steve Spagnuolo deployed in the Super Bowl an adjustment had to be made, and Hurts stepped up and was outstanding. However, don’t fool yourself, in the Super Bowl the Eagles called 45 running plays and 25 passing plays. It was still KISS.

Saquan ran for 2 yards a carry. Nothing! That whole O plan failed…in the biggest of moments.

That whole O plan controlled the Time of Possession 37 minutes to 23 minutes and built up a 34 point lead … 40-6. That was truly a spectacular failure. Truly.

I mean you just even stated how you believe everything stemmed from limiting Hurts and his throwing.

It wasn’t limiting Hurts. It was limiting risk.

Each year, No Mas and Fl, have a new focus to bash our leader. Every year he’s proven them wrong. Every single time!

And why is that important?

Young best ever franchise QB wasn’t being developed and coached by the best. Heck…worse yet….decisions were actually opposite of short sighted skipping doing so.

Indeed the best ever QB in a franchise with a long litany of dismal QBs. Not one worthy of entering the Hall of Fame wearing an Eagles jersey.

A whole lot like tallest midget in the room.

I’m ecstatic to have him , but context is everything.

Your O IS your Scheme. Siri’s didn’t exist. Clearly not just wasn’t mastered and perfected…talking so mush worse than anything like that. Not nitpicking…it was flat out terrible situation.

Sirianni’s scheme worked fine the first two years … especially 2022.

Moore in one chaotic season accomplished more than the other years combined under Siri. Credit QB coach Doug very much as well.

Your opinion is inconsistent with the facts. As noted above Moore’s scheme was shitcanned after the first four games.

Get whatever playcall in early enough for the QB to look over a D. So basic. Then actually provide Motion to define even more the Ds intentions. Not going to call this basic. But we were light years behind the entire league in motion before Moore. Heck….i can’t even say Moore’s playcalling was quality. It actually was pretty bad. But what he provided were the tools for the entire O to adjust.

Moore was calling the plays. If you have a problem as described above, look to the actual person who called the plays.

Plays called with time left on the playclock for the QB to actually look over the D. Motion….NFL norm for over a decade now. Playaction. Audibles. QB actually provided answers on adjusting to situations he’ll face.

Here too you are criticizing Moore.

Can you imagine Hurts playing for Lombardi?

My apologies... I don't remember before Vermeil.

You are new here....when a play doesn't work..that's always due to Siri’s influence. When the offense has a successful play it was due to Siri not being involved.

Ham has the inside information on this... even though not even living in the local area.

His posts are usually inconsistent with the facts.

"I love him,” Brandon Graham said about Sirianni. "This team loves him because he can relate to anyone. After you talk to Nick, you always get the sense he genuinely cares. I’ve only been in one place my whole career, but I talk to guys on other teams who see right through their coaches. Not Nick. It’s why guys want to play for him here. You know he has your back.”

That was the inference I got also,so I asked him to list the innovations LOL No answers ,just multiple posts and off topic deflection and meandering which we are used to now

I’ve been paying them out there from before he even began starting. Just watch is all I can say at this point

Have you ever heard of Vince Lombardi or Tom Brady. Hurts is very effectively practicing what lots of others before him have successfully practiced.

I think Brady could be a strong example. But how he accomplished where he got takes so much away. Clearly a dedicated drive to win.

Completely lost LOLOLOL While they focused and game planned and put all their defensive assets on Barkley, they forgot everything else we can do. The great deception worked perfectly. Sucked AR right into the vacuum and our defense took the game over. 2 yards a carry while burning 30 seconds off per play. You can't score if you don't have the ball. AR(your other hero) was OUTCOACHED. ON to the 2025 season, the past is over

Siri learned from that last SB failure where he just took the RB off the field pretty much. Think we all kept believing Barkley would bust one eventually.

All good coaches are supported by the results their players have produced. It is the core of a coach’s job to identify and bring in talented players and coach them up to produce good results on the field.

The major shift during my time was coaches adapting to their talent so much more. There seemed to be a locked in running the coaches O mentality. Either players worked in their system or didn’t. Past few decades that is considered just bad coaching now.

No he is not. The Transfer Portal and NIL have already done that. Following up on the end of discrimination against black QBs.

You even referred to the prototype. That label still exists. But Hurts is clearly proving other factors are more key than old thinking.

Since I am new here that ancient history does me no good. Can you share a few of the more memorable ones so I can get up to speed.

How is he doing that? What factors?
