May 10, 20251 yr 10 hours ago, mattwill said:You have your facts wrong. Sirianni’s relationship with Johnson was virtually identical to the one Sirianni and Steichen had. The problem was that Johnson only had a fraction of the experience Steichen had in working with Sirianni, and the lines of communication broke down. Sirianni and Howie and Lurie all agreed that the playcaller had to be the owner of the Offensive scheme, so Sirianni stepped away from all aspects of the Offense and concentrated on relationship building and relationship maintenance … both of which suffered greatly in the slump at the end of 2023. Moore came in with full authority, and the Dallas track record that made everyone believe he could deliver a passing first offense like the one Lurie has always wanted.I calling your assessment here completely wrong. Siri was running the O day one on the job. Failed so bad dogging a hole of 2-5 he was forced to step back and hand things over to Steichen. Once Steichen left…Siri took back control. There were leaks and rumors flying from every corner of knowledgable media and inside unnamed sources ….that it really was Siri. Johnson just took the fall without having any real power over much. Our O inn2023 whittled down to some key plays Steichen had working…but mostly our O became : Hurts escapes pressure to buy time for AJ and Smitty to get open deep. Wasn’t really much of any organized O at all. It was pretty strictly playmakers….go make big plays. You ever heard what Siri believes is the number one factor between winning and losing? That’s right….big plays. Commanded that his D play to not give up those big plays. Then 2023 when Siri takes back control after Steichen’s departure….then you could best describe our O is going for making the big play O. Siri’s heavy fingerprints all over everything. Then Moore was supposed to have total control of the O was the very clearly explained arrangement going into 2024. That lasted all up until the first presser Siri had after Moore was hired. He immediately started digging his way back into the O. Siri believes in himself and that he’s the O guru. Why do you think Moore ran from such a great O personnel SB winning team…to take the complete garbage HC job in New Orleans? Obviously because he wasn’t being allowed to run his O. Who got hired to be OC then? Could be Siri’s right hand guy all along? But I’m sure you still believe Siri is completely hands off the O this whole time. Laughable!
May 10, 20251 yr 10 hours ago, mattwill said:Where did Siriani say that? There is no documentation of any such interchange. Plus the Sirianni-Steichen Offense of 2021 and 2022 was nowhere in evidence in the first four games.Moore was saddled with Patullo to build the new scheme. This is known documented fact. Siri stated plain as day we were to keep all the things that have been working. Just add in Moore’s plays on to his own. A whole verbiage was to remain and be built off Siri’s. Moore did massive lifting all in one season. This was just one huge piece of his work.

Where did you hear this from?
May 10, 20251 yr 9 hours ago, mattwill said:Don’t be stupid. Spags absolutely sold out to stop the run with a consistent 8 in the box. He was very clear that he wasn’t going to let Saquon beat him. It worked, but it also left the Chiefs DBs in one on one coverage and Hurts took advantage and made them pay.But we didn’t stop running the ball. Every team clearly was trying really hard to stop THE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR!!! Now…I’d be careful about throwing around phrases like "don’t be stupid.” Stupid applies to your statement about Hurts throwing in so many long down and distance situations that weed absolutely known passing downs. That’s just flat out being ignorant to lump in what could be an easy assumption to make…unless you actually are looking at the real specifics of what occurred that day. Yes Spags, like every other DC, went after stopping Barkley. It worked. We kept running him…and Spags stopped him. Now …if Barkley keeps running the ball…never busting big gains at 3 yards a carry. What does that leave you with? I’ll tell you…since it’s not be being stupid here…. OBVIOUS PASSING SITUATIONS! I calm complete BS that on 3rd and 7 Spags was selling out to stop the run. 2nd and 8 I call complete BS on you also. I can go on and on….breath much has the one huge key Playaction to Smitty that wasn’t the obvious passing down. So….are you saying they would have double teamed Smitty instead? Some how? AJ and Smitty? Plus stack the box?
May 10, 20251 yr Spags stopped Saquan mostly because Saquan choked quite frankly. He hasn’t played in high pressure moments much before. Think you can look back to week two how he drops such an easy pass to ice the game. That happened. But we didn’t go away from running Barkley for two yards a pop. So if we keep running Barkley for two yards a carry…then I’ll let you work the math on whether we’d be ahead? Or behind the sticks? on all the downs after that. (Hint for those actually being stupid: two yard run on first down leaves you 2nd and 8….leading towards plenty of 3rd and longer than 5s) But I’m sure all those completely obvious known passing downs Hurts converted was only because Spags was stacking the box this downs to stop a Barkley run on 3rd and 7 and such….sure
May 10, 20251 yr Being stupid to me is coming up with that kind of math. 2 yards a carry and we kept at it the whole game. The theory could apply in many football games. But it’s not what happened on this past SB Sunday.
May 10, 20251 yr Just taking advantage of Spags stacking the box on those long distance downs. Sure Spags was selling out against the run in those completely obvious passing situations. Or….what was created was the most difficult conversions for a QB to be forced to convert most all game. Hurts passed…mostly on the most obvious passing situations…is what actually occurred…if we are talking about the actual game that occurred.

You understand planet Ham now.Why do you think he feels attacked or on his own? Statements like this to where there is an opposing view...it triggers him. But we are haters for not going along.Bipolar and narcissism are my balance sheet ideas... but all good. For the rest of us this is an outlet to discuss the Eagles... not really a competition. 2024 was a great season once they made changes after the bye....most of us were enjoying it the whole time... you can figure out the outlier." it's stressful when the team has expectations " is the explanation. Idk... I go back to the relatives telling me how much it sucked before Vermeil and my awful memory of the Marion Campbell era... to me, nothing worse than having your team irrelevant. Win or lose, way more enjoyable when your team has a chance! Seeing this team grow all year, absolutely the most fun season to watch.2-15 this year because.....you know Hurts got married, so he's done
May 10, 20251 yr We’ve been a completely dominant rushing team for years now. Saquan was the 2nd overall draft pick. Took until the SB for any pro coaches to figure out the Offensive Player of the Year was playing well. That no name RB for such an unexpected rushing O team.

With our O line he could have had the RECORD. You think that happens without an O line? Our O line makes Bark smile. He's enjoying his game now. He's the offense here as well(or a major part) but now he can run amok which he couldn't do in NY because we have a MUCH better offense thanks to Howie. Moving to a team with no O line to one that has ne of the best surprises you? Or a coach? C'mon now
May 10, 20251 yr SB was the first time Saquan ever witnessed a loaded box ever playing football before.
May 10, 20251 yr Saquan has very routinely faced loaded box situations. Absolutely nothing new invented by Spags for the SB. Thing is….Barkley was killing teams loading the box against him. You stack everybody in there…he found a crease and….see you later…50,60,70 yard TDs resulted all season…until he choked in the SB. Is what it is.

It’s just crazy to believe the entire I wasn’t mastered by every player by week one. No PS games. One joint practice. Hurts never took off the red don’t hit me jersey until Brazil. First series of the entire season backed up in our own endzone….Dickerson gets mauled back into Hurts so he can’t finish his throw….turns into an interception. Oh no!!!! Or are you strictly calling the record of 2-2. The Siri dumb playcall to ice the game to Saquan that Barkley dropped. Then the D shell shocked let them romp right down the field. Or are you talking about the 90 degree heat in TB where AJ, Smitty and Lane were all missing? Those two losses are what you are casing failure completely on? Please…weak sauce!Yes it's always someone or something elses fault. No one on our team ever played or practiced in 90 degree heat? Maybe we need to turn up the thermostat in the practice hut. Miami has to play in the teens in Seattle or Green bay ,so????? As a player you learn to COPE. In the pass rush example why didn't Hurts just throw the ball away?????

We had no WR's, I didn't expect to win but there is still no excuse for bonehead plays. We play TB again this year. I guess we should just call them and forfeit. I think that was also the game Hurts ran backwards on for 14 yards and took the sack anyway

Whole team didn’t show up to play in TB. Heat….injuries….you name it…but our whole team never got off the plane. But sure….come to a conclusion about our whole season based 25 percent off that game.
