Jalen Hurts is a pretty good rusher. He’s probably been considering switching to RB. Isn’t that what we always see in the NFL? All these Oline T….switch to C. Does anybody even doubt half these T could play C? WR …are always trying to switch to TE instead. Heck in plenty of instances the job duties aren’t really different. Justin Jefferson said…”I’m fine with elite TE pay”…not "I’m going to be the highest paid nonQB" Justin Jefferson has his agent trying to force a position move to long snapper for him. That’s what all these players are doing, right?

It’s not just the NFL. All across America…these executives are striving to switch to factory worker instead. CEO of Nissan making the financial business decision for his family it’s better if he instead takes over at the Used Car lot. He’s great at selling those cars. CEO job is hard

Not like athletes like to buy expensive cars and boats. Most just trying to get decent rims on their Camry. They can’t use that pesky multigenerational family legacy wealth. Screw the kids…grand kids…parents worked three jobs to buy cleats. The 200K house around the corner from the meth lab with the long commute is actually all anybody strives for. Who wants that mansion on the beach with a helicopter? Don’t you like broken drug pipes and strung out junkies sleeping in your backyard? Much better than dolphins. Never seen any athlete buy more than two..maybe three pairs of shoes.

Your prejudice is showing through. The evidence for that is that:

the #1 CB is being paid $30 million per year,

the #6 CB is being paid $20 million,

the #11 CB is being paid $19 million,

the #16 CB is being paid $18 million,

the #21 CB is being paid $13 million,

the #26 CB is being paid $12 million,

the #31 CB is being paid $10 million,

the #36 CB is being paid $7.5 million,

the #41 CB is being paid $5.5 million,

the #46 CB is being paid $3.8 million,

the #51 CB is being paid $3.5 million,

the #56 CB is being paid $3.25 million,

the #61 CB is being paid $3 million, and

the #66 CB is being paid $2.5 million.

That is 32 teams worth of 2 starting CBs. What is the NFL ”pay scale” that describes that wide distribution of annual pay.

And yes, the problem is you projecting an issue where there is no issue. The free market is working just fine.

Easier. Texans just set the market at both positions. Slot record setting..only half the record setting outside.

Ok…so then surely you can just prove and show all these Slot CBs that were highest paid of any CB. Surely the case couldn’t be there has never been stud Slot CB play.

While you’re at it….bring up the list of elite RB making top WR similar pay.

How about all the elite C like Kelce and Humphrey might be best ever. Those guys clearly same pay as the best T. Or is the gap of pay almost identical as Slot versus Outside? But elite OLine is elite OLine, right?

How about all these LB? They all the same pay too, right. Off ball dominating stud like Fred Warner headed to the HOF making the same as pass rushing LB, right?

Long snapper snaps the ball just like C…same pay too? Like perfect long snapper wizard…he’d get Cam money right?

There is nothing but overwhelming historical proof on my side stating this as fact…not even my opinion.

Why did Ceedy Duce want S pay? I’m confused. Elite Slot play you believe earns more than S..they’ll get outside CB pay. Hahahaha

Stingley earning 33 mil per season give or take. Which Slot CB earning around that ball park? There never has been one you say…do tell…oh Slot player just got biggest payday ever…he gets Stingley pay…just takes him three years instead of one.

I mean I see your point…it is so real close. So many Slot guys just nickels away from outside CB pay. Or it’s not even close at all. Widest gap imaginable.

Rosie went above and beyond showing

Barkley the love after all time best season. Like..you can’t really top all time best ever. Rosie really went all out..got him 20 mil.

I have never seen Joe say that. Unless you can provide evidence that he said it it is just you being a liar once again. You really are good at it.

You can’t call me a liar. Questionably can at least try and spin some names…some even deserved…but not liar. He definitely went on a whole rant about how it never had been done so it never can be done. Ohhhh…I remember this crap. Not escaping me. Time to eat that crow…Hurts SB MVP..best player on the field both SB. But his style and play…yeah…it’s exactly what gets it done.

Wrote some checks that bounced. Hurts not a starter. Can’t win the SB.

I’m sure you he wished it was a lie. Kind of like how the P hadn’t cost us a game yet so who cares…then he shanks in the SB. FL you and I saw that crap coming with the P.

Past doesn’t limit the future.

Future always brings things never occurred before.

Wrote that on your checks next time…cash it!!

That RB that plays QB for us not worthy to ever be a starter and won’t ever possibly win a SB….that cat just getting started. He began our teams dominating dynasty run!

I mean one SB win…didn’t well for No Mas. Terrible opinion. But two…three…..ouch…he’s got a shot to be elite level QB at winning SBs instead. Let’s start with two. Two SB victories does plenty enough to rub No MAs HurtsHater take in his face.

But a SB and 7 NFC Championship games.

This may be the problem??. On earth the 49ers didn't make 7 NFC Championship games under Lynch....maybe on planet Ham they did

This could be the reason why you view things differently?

Because you know what? This whole board with many more people than now…all against Hurts completely to start in 2021. None believed in him to start 2022. Oh wait..there was this lone voice against the entire mob. This one poster saw it in Hurts in 2020. Said this guy is a special leader…defense even started responding hitting harder and believing when Hurts came in. Told you he was the best QB in franchise history…just wait.

Yeah my memory crush you.. I know you hate that. Like how you(FL) were crying about benching Hurts for Shew. Yes…you actually believed Shew was the better option. Ouch!!!! But call me a liar on that and deny what you said. Do it!!! If you do…than at least somebody is a liar on the board to throw that name out.

I really didn’t look it up. But….Niners clearly were the NFC team had to beat to go to the SB. Was a great long run of dominance.

But.. like I said…team was flawed. Never was going to win a SB. Wasn’t just bad luck…or coincidence..injuries.. Garrapolo did ok plenty of the time…with such a great team carrying him. But…the three TDs in the first half…and fumble and interception late fourth quarter are killers. All stats aren’t equal. He actually was almost beyond belief consistently choking at the end in key moments all the time.

And see…Garrapolo can’t win a SB…unlike Hurts. Never. Fields can make things exciting on a broken play…but that guy isn’t winning a SB.

Flawed!! Have a whole team of Saquan Barkley’s and just crush people…except if the games on the line in the clutch…or biggest hype SB. Now Barkley just doesn’t have that experience. Playing for the giants does that …which brings me way to much pleasure. So….im hopeful now with experience…Saquan will be ready next time.

See..on planet earth, John Lynch took over the 49ers in 2017. 8 seasons

3 of them in 4th place

2 of them in 3rd place

3 in 1st place

They did make the NFC Championship game in all 3 seasons they were in 1st place along with 2 SBs. One of the 3rd place teams got lucky playing vs Green Bay in a blizzard where the fumbled punt led to the only TD...and they went on to get smacked in the NFC title game

8 years, half of them not even making the playoffs. Constant praise... comparing those last 8 years to the Eagles is not close, yet constant complaints about each move made by Howie. " he doesn't do contracts right, he has no Cap room, even the swap of assets that ended up being better involving Pickett, Reddick/Huff moves getting us 2 picks etc...all while winning the SB.

But in your mind Lynch made 3 extra Championship games ???

Not even close....you want to compare Lynch vs the other 31 GMs... while making up fake stats...how about doing that with Howie’s actual real accomplishments?

But you can't you do that...because you would have to concede where he ranks among the other 31 GMs. Goes against the agenda.

You again show your ignorance of what a "wage scale” is. A wage scale sets the wages of all the covered employees based on a rigid published list of pay grades and amounts for each grade. There is no free market. Everything is predetermined, typically based on tenure (time in the industry). The NFL’s minimum salary is governed by a wage scale.

"The NFL minimum salary varies based on a player's years of experience. For the 2024 season, the minimum salary is $915,000 for players with 1 year of experience, $985,000 for 2 years, $1,055,000 for 3 years, and $1,125,000 for players with 4-6 years of experience. Players with 7 or more years of experience earn a minimum of $1,21 million. ”

You really need to make a better effort.

That has absolutely nothing to do with a wage scale. Those amounts are FREELY NEGOTIATED with each negotiation being different.

Try to stay on topic.

Lamar Jackson. I mean…elite stud until the biggest moments. Ravens been great teams. Lamar shows levels of play could argue greatest ever. But not when you HAVE to do it. What you do with that? Throw ten TDs week one but choke when it’s win or go home?

Josh Allen real hard to find any ways to believe he isn’t flawed and not made up of the right stuff either. So many athletes just wish for that one shot…and they’ll deliver. Josh and Lamar been on teams that were the best…at least arguably. Not just once…how many TDs can Josh Allen throw in the first half? Crazy amount right? Who cares? He’s going fishing if game is on the line in OT or playoffs. How many players get that many opportunities as Lamar and Josh every in their careers? Think back to Dan Marino. You think he wishes he got any other chance but to begin his career? One…done…that’s it! Josh and Lamar had the opportunity half their careers.

I was thinking the same of you. Slot CB versus Outside CB. Not hey..they’re all CBs…even though the top paid CBs are all at the same position and the Slot CBs are all under a certain ceiling. C isn’t T…even though both Oline. Slot isn’t Outside..even though both CBs. S , Slot and outside all DBs…throw out all DBs combined and just ignore his relevant the positions are forever on the NFL

You wrote novels....I'm not going to read them...because it shows how you can't express yourself...why you would suck in a debate setting...not annihilate anyone.

This simple point isn't bad....but the easier logic and counter....is that Houston paid a top CB ...top CB money..... Stingley. Then they paid the 21st best CB.... the 21st highest money

When it comes to DeJean...he is going to get paid.

If you believe he is the top slot guy, he will be paid much more than the $13 million per in two years... if you think he is just average outside..out of 62 outside CBs... you would put him around 30th to 34 in the pay scale...much lower.

The numbers are right there. That's where it takes one post from Matt to show the numbers, but you need 37 post of theory that involves fluff that nobody is going to read... it's why your debate skills are not good. Not going to annihilate anyone in a neutral setting until you learn to be concise and you facts, like numbers and names.

You calling me a liar about something you couldn’t even Possibly know anything about…at all…really is character defining. But glad you identified my lie on the statement years before you were here. You are the authority about what happened on this board in 2021..for sure. What else did and didn’t happen?

You are the witness on the stand in this trial. And the lawyer for the prosecution just heard everything you have said above and risen to his feet and said to the judge and jury, "I object Your Honor! Everything that has been said by the witness is Hearsay.” The judge quickly responded, "Objection sustained. The witness must constrain his testimony to factual evidence, not hearsay. Memory is not sufficient proof. Documentation is required.”
