Stack up draft picks to make trades for vets, or move around the draft.

There aren't any predictions... that's me showing the numbers. So many picks, not all are going to make the team. As Crazy legs said... having 8 day 3 picks isn't really going to work every year.

You made predictions on Ringo, Dean, Ojomo…

No Mas, you’ve got to remember how everything has changed around here now. No longer a D being built by Rosie old ways of team building philosophies.

The changes are very easy to see... what the causes were. For years you would argue with me on how " Rosie" was screwing up contracts.

I simply said... if they could only draft well consecutive years in a row, it would be a game changer.

What you are seeing now is a result of multiple successful drafts in a row. Now they can build on a foundation or core that keeps growing. Instead of having to find that big free agent or lucky signing.

When you keep drafting and developing studs... everything else business wise takes care of itself. ..

Unless you are Dallas and you just keep messing up the business side

Many knowledgable football draft experts have a philosophy of numbers of draft picks choices is better…draft three guys …just need to find that one good one.

Fangio is in control of the D in most all areas now. Off Ball LBs or the terminology this season has been a nice to labeling it as Inside LB….Fangio values LB and DBs.

Fangio had zero input prior to getting the job. Those 2021-2023 drafts that are the core... he wasn't here... that's the foundation of the team... those drafts.

Dallas hasn’t messed up the business side as much as the coaching situation.

I made simple points concerning all sides about what Rosie was always doing: team building philosophy wise, backloaded contract wise, draft wise, trades and vet FA signing wise.

At the core of what you and I disagreed about on all that though was I just believed in clearing the cap instead of always spending maxing out. Pissed me off especially in 2020 with a four win team to not just be capped out and old….but have invested so much future cap money in that squad then.

I just realized how a simple season just not spending everything…along with spending so much future funds…could really open up such a nice dynasty window.

Exactly where this franchise is positioned now….then I believe in spending that future cap money investing to take advantage.

2021 Dickerson and Smitty on O. Gainwell gone now…until he doesn’t make the 53 man roster elsewhere at least. Milton left

2022 Dean you just wrote off

Davis was a huge reach so high for such very little production to this point.

Cam in 2022 for O

2023 you just also wrote off Ojomo and Ringo from

Carter the big piece for sure.

Nolan did nothing rookie season…then good breakout year two. But red flags about durability can’t be erased with him. He’s dealt with injuries both seasons already. Really still very questionable if physically he will hold up.

Sidney Brown …didn’t work out

So really relying big time on what Fangio has brought these past two drafts.

Q, DeJean, Mukuba, Hunt, Jihad

Maybe even Jr Axe

Ty Robinson I’m throwing in already also

Antwaun Powell Ryland I expect delivers as well

Based upon what's going on this off-season, does anyone feel that teams will be dumping their 2nd-round picks? 😒

And is anyone concerned about our long-term viability at tight-end? All 7 on our off-season roster will be free agents next season.

So much uncertainty to deal with.

So much of our success has been as a result of relatively few disasterous injuries...will our luck continue or could we experience what the Lions experienced last season?

Isn't the off-season fun?

He values them all (and I don’t say that to be difficult.

I have always hated Zone Defenses until Fangio showed me how the whole can be greater than the sum of its parts. For example, the LBs and DBs can (only) thrive if the Front Four can do their job without supplementation. If the four has to be five through blitzing, the strength of the Back Seven is diminished. With the full complement of seven, three things happen, (1) the seams in the zones are in different places than the opposing QBs and receivers are expecting them to be, (2) the two ILBs take away the quick release pass patterns over the middle (which opposing QBs used to feast on against the Birds), and (3) DeJean and the two ILBs (and to a somewhat lesser degree the Safeties) are regularly able to free lance the way both DeJean and Baun did in their respective interceptions in the Super Bowl.

Many of the six sacks in the Super Bowl can be labeled coverage sacks. That doesn’t devalue the accomplishment, but rather acknowledges just how effective the coverage of the players on the field was in executing Fangio’s scheme. It was eleven men working together in harmony, and Fangio values and appreciates everyone of them … and the position they played.
