April 25, 20242 yr As for Hurts he needs to learn a new O …once again. Like he has every season but once of his college and pro career. That takes time. You are clearly going to be very disappointed and blame him very heavily right off the bat this season.

By the way…I’m calling this now…crucial piece to a championship roster puzzle this season. Just a matter of whether we are all in and will spend the money. Which seems like a no brainer because we always spend the money.

How often did we play Bump and Run under Siri? We didn’t really change. Same stuff AR had Mahomes do to us in the SB. Siri is a D guy now?
April 25, 20242 yr 1 hour ago, cunninghamtheman said: It’s not bump and run it’s Cover 3. So the complaint starts with HC fundamental philosophy. Then it comes to playcall. Then it comes to GM that doesn’t bring in top CB. Gotta have all three of those things be different to correct a 3rd and 4 coverage. You don't have to Bump and run....3rd and 4 you can't be 10 yards off and then back pedal.

"You bump...you force them to play football... if you get bear, who cares. The alternative is them constantly having the ball. " This is your quote in response. Your screenshot the outside CB is 6 yards off backpedaling with over coverage.

I believe the QB is the one that has to change things...the little adjustments I believe our QB is a good runner. His whole life he didn't have to play the chess match because his athletic ability allowed him to win the checkers match...one read and then just run. I believe that is the part of the game that he needs to work on the most. I believe he made a lot of mistakes last year making reads and decisions. Everything aside...I believe you will never blame him for any negative thing that happens....not even give him a small percentage of the blame. Idk what your fascination is with him.. but when it comes to looking at his play objectively...you can't do it.

You can bump in a zone where the CB holds the outside position.

When we beat TB it was that third or fourth read to OZ on two very key plays that won the game last season.

The mental part of the tush push... Hurts is a genius???? The QB's job is to throw TD passes. Not run them in. He is in the league because of his running. He needs work on the passing game..the mental side in particular.

My favorite play of his career... a play where he was a professional QB. He needs more of that.
April 25, 20242 yr Your statement is they are rushing six and we gave an empty backfield. You blame Hurts here. I’ll add the WR routes are long developing. Why is the playcall in the first place not prepared if it’s such an expected situation? We all know it’s coming yet it’s up to Hurts to adjust on the fly? Doesn’t even make any sense. To me it just shows how the coaches have no answer.

There is no rule against the QB calling a protection audible. Idk maybe all that amateur ball you watch they don't do that....pro ball the QBs do that.

Just said how it was more than one play…in that one game. Just a simpleton argument hating on Hurts. See I could deal with the actual issues with Hurts if I wasn’t dealing with this endless uneducated attacks on him. Same thing with the D. You keep complaining about a tree…when the problem is the forest.
