On one hand the OL blows. We did get spoiled by the OL they had. That doesn't take away that this OL is sub-par. On the other hand if the first read isn't there you play run around like a chicken with it's head cut off, chuck it out of bounds or throw an intentional grounder. Yes there were WIDE OPEN receivers.

LMAO also the preseason media wrongly way over-hyped the product that was being put together.

It is what it is. It's not like I never saw the Eagles play like sh!t.

On another hand we got zero sacks and the secondary was beaten like a step child(Q was good). So that's our problem we have 3 hands(your one hand, on the other hand and my 3rd hand). With 3 hands IDK how our jerseys fit 🤣. If you think we just got beaten badly, wait until next week 🤣

Keenum did not look like a 3rd string QB. He schooled Hurts

He sure as hell schooled Fangio and the D.

Ben Johnson has gotten the better of Vic in back to back years now…. Got embarrassed by the bears last year as well

Always been an issue with Hurts. Part of what keeps him from being a top QB. 2 Guys last night were wide open and Hurts can't find them on the field. Once he has his target set, that's it. Part of being a top QB is seeing your guys. Hurts can't do it. Wicks was waving his arms in the air(remember AJ also did this???) Even if he's not your first read, this field awareness is what sets a top 10 QB off from the other 22. Why having peripheral vision as a QB is so important and lack of it is so frustrating for receivers. If you hit Wicks on that play he was gone for 6. No one was within 10 yards of him. Totally on Hurts. Mannions offense is as vanilla as Putullos was, just different plays. Barkley is not built to be a flare screen RB. That play is so overcalled and predictable once again. We don't have the edge guys on the O line that can't go out front and block for anyone so we repeatedly get tagged with a loss or short gain. The "motion" is fooling no one. Mannions inexperience is showing just as Patullos was. It's going to be a frustrating year for Barkley until we find an O line

Your boy Bark absolutely had some nice holes to run through last night. Bark doesn't look like Bark from 2024 though. In fact Bark had the lane on the right side to run for a Bark TD but took it inside on the 1st and goal prior to the Daulton INT.

Maybe Bark isn't such elite level anymore??

First 1/2 was nice for him, 2nd, not so much. Frustration set in. He is getting up there in age. He's not going to bust if no one else is. He was pretty much our first 1/2 offense. After the 1/2 both OC and DC looked horrible. I'm sick of that screen play. So predictable. I think Lemon has -10 yards on 4 tries with that disaster play, but we keep running it anyway. Doesn't work for Bark either

This team has enough talent to win

What they don't have is the will to do it.

And an O line

And a D line

And a secondary that can cover someone

I guess that about covers it

Perfect word... this team has " enough " talent.. not elite, not great, not superior... enough is a perfect word. Mediocre, average, OK, decent..... are also good words.... but I like " enough" that's a perfect word.

It means if things go our way with luck, if our coaches seem to out coach thr other side... the ball bounces our way... guys stay in good health...

If all that goes our way...we have " enough" talent to win.

Big difference from 2024 when we just physically beat the crap out of the other teams with our elite level talent.

Idk ...Bark looked ok running through holes. .2024 Bark looked fantastic running through those same holes and would have taken one to the house.

Maybe time to realize this.

Makuba and Campbell must look great in camp drills.... because their game play is brutal.

Could be the Howie magic of drafting ran out 2 years ago.

I can't disagree...but I don't think it's Johnson or Fangio....when we have a WR take a handout and is stopped at the 7 yard line...but the Bears guys push him 7 yards into the end zone.

I think that shows talent and heart might be the issue.

I'm just curious as to the 4 year subject of the Tanner McKee trade value

We kept 4 QBs so Daulton could be the #2 and come in to throw a red zone INT on his first pass. McKee was benched for him.

JJ McCarthy ..a recent 10th pick in the draft was traded to a desperate Giants team for a 5th.

You think McKee can get us that high draft pick in return that sets up the Eagles to be a contender for the next decade?

The Hurts stat of the week....

Since 2021 he has had 23 starts without a TD pass...most in the league.

Out of 85 starts....50 are under 200 passing yards.

His high picks sure haven't panned out this year

Dan Marino couldn't pass for 200 yards the way this O line is pass protecting

Is talent the issue though? Most of the defense in the same is it not? And it was a top 5 defense last year when we also got completely man handled.

This OL wasn't that bad it wasn’t dominant like we are used to but was plenty of time and opportunities to pass as well… hell the int wasn’t even any real pressure on Hurts he just locked in on Smith and didn’t see the LB

I couldn't disagree more

Since 2021 you think Hurts hasn't had a good OL to where he couldn't reach 200 yards 50 out of 85 starts? Really?

Dean and Blankenship in the middle ... seems big difference in getting guys in the right spot. Even though Blankenship as an individual messed up a decent amount on the physical aspect.

Missing the DE Philips ..the extra depth there ..

The 3rd edge guy with Smith and Hunt... seems to be a HUGE difference in the line play. Pressure on the QB etc.

To me Smith and Hunt are nice players... in a rotation. Putting the #1 edge guy in front of them really elevated their games.

Idk if they are full time starters... their physical size might be an issue. 60% snap counts might be the perfect # for each.

Doesn’t Buan set the defense and wear the green dot pretty sure he has been that guy for few years now. And Blank can make the case was the leader of the back and sure but talent wise he was lackluster and definitely not as talented as Dejean

Also didn’t Dean miss like half the season for us last year again

Phillips being gone and Greenard not healthy definitely hurts the pass rush

Again idk how we say it’s a talent issue when the team is essentially the same as last year

Mind you we were also missing Carter good chunk as well or he wasn’t playing at nearly 100% either last season

Did you watch the line play last night?

They looked like a revolving door

Compare that to the Bears line play

They held the middle of the line together.

How many times did Keenum even have to move?

I'm NOT defending Hurts. But with that O line play NO ONE is gonna be any good

Not hard if you have blocking which we don't

At this point, I do not
