You could easily say Kendall did well at C. Lampkin also plays there. If they think Dickerson is coming back....then Cam could easily be expendable for that nice draft haul. They loaded up 2028. Just curious, if they are able to trade anyone else if they look for another 2028 pick. Sometimes you get a round higher waiting that extra year.
October 9Oct 9 Go on Facebook...look up Robert Williams Films... the Eagles fan who does Billy Joel parodies... has a great one tonight busting on Dallas...to the tune of Paino Man... " throw us a pick, you're the interception man" ...lol
October 9Oct 9 Author FWIW- Jags #2 in run defense, #31 in pass defense. Hurts needs to put up this week. if he can't burn them in the sky he will be put on the hotseat

Add more and carry all that into the '28 draft and we're sitting pretty. Either that or we use our 1 this year(will still have 2 I think in 2028). IDK if Howie would spring for Manning in 2027,but I like Mensah from Miami. he is 6'3 so he can see over the line that Hurts has trouble with, but really I think we're going to have to hit the lines really hard in 2027. I like Cole Payton also so would like to see what he can bring

Tampa just messed up not kicking the FG to go up 3 scores... and you get the first TD but don't kick the extra point? Just dumbYeah I agree take the 1, maybe come back to tie and go to OT. Your in your home stadium. I agree it was a stupid call

Am I wrong? The Eagles may get destroyed in games if the defense isn’t stellar. The offense sucked with all the starters. How bad will it be now?No better time than the present to see what ya got

October 9Oct 9 Have we announced roster moves? Did we officially bring up any OL to the 53? I know we signed Pierce to the 53 and now released Dalton. But I haven’t seen anything about OL signing to the 53
October 9Oct 9 On the pure hypothetical that we trade Hurts whenever 2027/2028 whatever and do this rebuild again under Howie. If Howie pulls off a 3rd SB with a QB on a rookie deal and the ability to build an all star roster around them. At what point do you just pay in to that philosophy of not paying the QB? I know it’s never going to happen but it really would raise the question for me is it truly worth paying the QB that much money. There are a handful like Mahomes that worth it but they are an outlier more then the norm at this point.

Like how many round 1 QB's bust out? I mean if you can pull that off- OH YEAH. Sounds like the Browns strategy except they can't pick ish

There are a handful like Mahomes that worth it but they are an outlier more then the norm at this point.I agree this has to be an idea. But also, Hurts was paid after the 2022 season... they extended him before his rookie deal ran out in 2023 and they won the year after. The contract was designed to where the cap hits were pushed back. I would say we have to look at the next situation before deciding what to do. But if we draft a guy next year, and win in 2031 ...that guys 5th year... 3 SBs...with exactly 7 years in-between each time... we could assume that QB would already be extended. But interesting thought, because you have to decide if overpaying an adequate QB, or letting him go and starting over with another guy is the answer for that next SB. Can't dismiss the fact, if we didn't give Hurts the extension...he wouldn't have been here in 2024. Do we do the same with the next guy?

Do we do the same with the next guy?I could be mistaken but wasn’t Hurts still under contract in 2024 under his rookie deal even if we didn’t give him an extension. But even still fits the same criteria as the rookie deal you have a vastly underpaid QB freeing up extra cap space for the rest of the roster. Allowing Howie to build a top tier roster

Sounds like the Browns strategy except they can't pick ishI mean our strategy of paying QBs hasn’t worked out for us either Mcnabb no SBs, Wentz no SBs once he was paid, Hurts got the extension technically but swear thought he was still getting paid his final rookie year wages when we won the SB I could be mistaken on the timeline for Hurts( but he was still dirt cheap for a QB). Now his contract is ballooning we suck again.
October 9Oct 9 And again I know this is something we are never going to do we are going to pay our QBs but 3 times( in my hypothetical scenario) of winning a SB when your paying your QB next to nothing( by QB standards).Basically just saying we believe in Howie with cap more than overpaying a QB. We can win with adequate QB play.
