Just such a very interesting prospect for us. Five star top high school recruit that got caught up in a logjam of competition at Georgia plus dealt with some injuries. Didn’t learn pass protection in high school. So that maybe stunted his opportunities right away in college. Didn’t put up the massive numbers in college like such a talented player was expected. But against the hardest Ds popped off for over 100 yards. Excellent at the goaline RB. He’s a finisher. Everything just feels like he should have been drafted.

So did you see a problem with coaching being the failure in 2020 or even 2019? Or was it the GM that was failing and the talent was reason more for failure?

Again... round and round.. how many times do I have to say that I... me personally would have let Doug hire his coaches and either sink or swim in 2021.     Lurie/ Howie wanted him to do things their way.   Just like the current guy is doing things their way... if they win doing things their way with a guy in place that is doing things their way... they aren't going to change.   If they don't win, they will change.

The " Master plan" is in place if they fail.... ready to make a change.

So clearly you are just dodging admitting Rosie was very clearly the one at fault. The 2019 and 2020 teams talent wasn’t anywhere near SB contending level. Yet the coach got fired for it. You know you are the one speaking about how great a look is for things and all that. This was a clear cut GM did a terrible job and scapegoated the coach for his mismanagement situation.

Back to Kendal Milton though he’s a pure rushing back. So that’s his drawback it seems.

Dude... from day one I blamed Howie for 2020... the roster and the injuries were his excuse... I said 5000 times if they were an excuse for him, then why weren't they an excuse for the coach and QB?    Doug and Wentz took the blame for Hightower and JJAW being what they had to work with while 24 different guys started on the OL that season?

Nah, he is what we had with Howard in 2021... the #4 RB.  That can be used in certain short yardage and kill the clock situations if needed.    That was missing the last 2 years, and really missing even the #3 last year.   We throw 4 RBs in the mix ...with a stud legit bell cow as the #1.   Big time impact to set the tone for the OL.

Yes... they could easily justify a crap year and the disagreement on the fix going forward as being a legit reason to fire Doug at the time.

They can't fire Siri if they have a successful 2024 season and he does everything the front office wants and has the same plan going forward.

 

Goedert had a nice concise talk about motion. How it gets the LBs and S moving, giving ‘tells’ and makes it harder for the D to be gap sound against the run game.

Which I see as the needed complimetary type back for us. Even if looking at him as number three RB behind Saquan and Shipley.

Correct he can step up to #3 next year in 2025.  For 2024, he can injury insurance or be used in some games in certain situations.

Think the reasoning would be fairly simple even though not traditional. Just describe how they evaluated and decided to not lose Moore to another team being as he was deemed the main reasoning for O success this year and moving forward.
