July 26, 20242 yr They were discussing the QB audibles today... seems Hurts has been asking to call them more at the line. This is excellent. Huge key for me... playing big boy QB, where he can make the last second adjustment at the line. I'm not getting into blame or whatever negative from the past .... just that I would be happy to see QB changes on a more regular basis. I believe the QB needs the control.. the whole game revolves around that the QB can do to get the ball in the proper place to the proper teammate... he should have final control over every detail of the play so that he can tweak it how he thinks is best. Adjust a route, adjust a blocker, adjust an alignment...etc.

July 26, 20242 yr You can see why the Eagles didn't want Reddick ... positive vibes 2024. These intangibles are important to a team.

With new coaches you gotta build and develop these new things. Reddick would be great..if you paid him. Everybody has understood for two years now. But we paid Bryce Huff some pretty big money. Which Fangio admits that he’s just a pass rushing down only player.
July 26, 20242 yr Another Eagles dedicated site pointing out they don’t believe WR3 is on the roster yet. This actually gives me optimism that something will have to be done about this shortcoming of the roster.

Yeah.. half price and 5 years younger for the same pass rush only player... but no locker room BS anymore.

Yes..as GB and I discussed this after the draft when your boy Reub said same thing... about 3 months ago
July 26, 20242 yr I'll call it ...feeling I had a while back Renfro is still s free agent. I believe he may be holding out for a good offer that he isn't getting yet. I wouldn't be surprised if something happens there soon. Possibly the Eagles.
July 26, 20242 yr Dominique Foxworth...has the Eagles as the favorite to win the NFC. " last year they had a coordinator problem, and they fixed it with 2 above average coordinators "

One of them will claim the slot,or maybe both. WR 3 IS on the roster IMO,we just haven't selected the best one yet. There is no need to panic since Hurts doesn't throw to them anyhow. Now we have an OC that will call slot plays and Hurts also needs to READ and SEE the slot guy on every pass play

Reddick’s played 3/4 of the snaps and averaged at least double digit sacks. Bryce hasn’t been able to manage half the snaps and peaked just at double digit sacks. Not nearly the same players. But Bryce has some quick bend and strike pass rushing moves. I just thought we signed him believing he could step up big time in his usage. So disappointing to hear he’s only a pass rusher. Especially for that kind of dough.

But it’s not a matter of who realized what first. It’s a matter of it being so glaringly obvious Rosie has to do something to fix it. Like when I was so unhappy about our SB season going in without a S. A trade had to be made. Have a real chance to do something if he strikes for a quality third WR.
July 26, 20242 yr We might need to be willing to give a little something up. Let’s not fail over no willingness to give up anything. Might need to give up a player and a pick to bring in somebody that can move the needle towards us becoming a contender.
July 26, 20242 yr Obviously with our massive future indebtedness future draft picks are so precious for us to do much going forward. But might have to come off a decent one…depending on which guy we target to go after. It especially makes sense if it’s for a player that’s more than just a one year rental.

Again.... we are looking at 2024 and forward. When you base it off of the 2023 season and project it forward. I know it's hard for some people who fall in love with a guy and one season back in 2022. But easy decision to send the selfish locker room problem away... for a much younger team player who had same production on way less snaps. Plus get a draft pick back

Why do we need a pass rusher to step up his usage? Especially to replace a guy who gave you nothing else other than pass rushing? It's not like Cox who gave you both ... so you prefer him to eat up snaps and keep everyone else fresh On the outside... I like a rotation if I don't have a good edge setter.
July 26, 20242 yr Howie....along with 31 other GMs... don't want to pay Reddick He was able to explore a trade.... Just curious if the real top edge guys were put on the trade market if teams would trade a 2nd round pick and pay them $28 mil? I would assume those real top guys would easily get a team to trade a 2nd round pick and pat them the new big contract. Makes you really see what the ENTIRE LEAGUE thinks of Reddick.

It’s something a bit different from a pure rotation if a player can only play on very highly likely passing downs. He can’t just rotate in then.

Obviously he should be worth quite a bit if his down season is still more than a top season of a guy that can’t even play half the downs for what like 17 mil a season. If Huff has earned 17…Reddick is easily worth 30.
