It will be really telling to see what happens at WR if Reagor is out for 2 games and Jeffery isn't ready.

1. lots of 2 TE sets with Desean at Z and Ward, who is at least reliable, taking most snaps at X.

2. JJAW at X, Desean at Z.  This is what they had envisioned things looking like a year ago.  I'll just say...Desean, even at his best, is a lot easier to stop in a 2 TE set when he's opposite a slow possession WR.  They can bracket him off more easily if he's the only guy on the offense who can move.

3. Hightower at X, Desean at Z.  This seems to offer the most upside and probably pairs best with a 2-TE set.  Also pairs best with Ward in the slot as the steady reliable set of mitts.

4. Total platoon going with the hot hand.  Ward, JJAW, Desean, Watkins, Hightower all getting looks there.

I'm still very optimistic about Watkins, but he seems training as a pure Z who will get his chance only after Desean gets hurt.

If you don't see JJAW playing the lion's share of the snaps at X when there is no one left to do it besides a rookie and an 8-time cut slot WR, then you can pretty much stick a fork in him.  As early as it may be, these 2 games may be his last shot here.

I think somebody would fork over a 1st round pick for him.  I don’t think he’s as good as most people do, but I do like a RB who can run between the tackles and catch.

Pretty sure the Saints will get him signed, though

You could pretty much add him to any team and they become much more dangerous.  Not sure if there are teams with multiple 1sts available but I'd trade one for him in a heartbeat.

So at this point, why not just do the surgery and take a redshirt year, no?

In ortho yes. In sports medicine, maybe if he was still in college. Even more likely if he was just a freshman or sophomore. Risk:benefit ratio is different now.

Now making millions there's probably more pressure to play though an injury that's possible to play through.

If he suffers more dislocations he will probably cut the season short for surgery.  They're probably hoping he will stay in pretty well and then fix in the offseason.

It’s amazing how teams still over value the RB position.  It’s one thing to pay a guy good money at the position, who’s earned it, etc....it’s another to expect a team to give up a King’s ransom for one AND to pay him.

But you never know...a team might bite.

I dont mind trading a 1st round pick for a RB if they are a dual threat running and receiving like Kamara or McCaffrey.  They have to be really good at receiving though otherwise no thanks.

Think if Kamara was traded to the 49ers or Seattle?  Instantly make them the favorites in the NFC.

Yea, that’s my point. Between his attitude, talent and play style he isn’t worth that much. There were a lot of people in her clamoring for him yesterday saying $4M is a steal

Salary is relative. You can make a strong argument that he had a lot of value at 4m.  He had a better season last year than a lot of solid backs on a questionable team and scheme. He’s not a kamara type but chart his career against derrick henry and it compares favorably in the first three years.  I could see the chalk predictions making sense here. If NO moves kamara he would be effective there. Pats, TB, KC, some of these teams make sense. He’ll play this year and I wouldn’t count him out.

we’ve seen bs about the locker room moving away from wentz and plenty of other eagles too. In my book rumors of fournettes demise are premature.

Well some shots on goal would be nice

All of the above plus probably a dose of Watkins in four WR sets.  JJAW supposedly lost weight and worked on his speed.  Long workouts everyday in the offseason.  He was a 4.49 at the Combine so let’s say high 4.4s.  Ward said he worked on his quickness in the offseason.  Quickness rules in the slot.  Ward may have times at his pro day somewhere in the low 4.5s but he timed at UH in the mid 4.4s. He was Carson’s favorite WR in TC.  Imagine they are faster, quicker and more sure of themselves and Carson has three WRs he trusts. Plus the D has to cover one our two of our TEs and/or one of our RBs.   Could be good stuff even a speed freak like you can learn to love.

They missed a lot of shots in that game. Good response after the meltdown.

There is nothing about JJAW and Ward on the field that a speed freak would love.

Its just hard to imagine him taking a huge hit and not making it worse.

I don’t care what anyone says — it was really dumb of the coaches not to tell him to let up before he went to make a tackle as an offensive player in practice.  Yes, the player needs to make that play in a game situation, but not in a scrimmage.

Supposedly it was just a quick reaction, not that he actually was attempting to tackle him. At least that’s what they said on ... I can’t remember the podcast. Maybe it was Kempski’s.

Now reporting that Kamara was taking fines. Kamara to fournette swap in the offing?

Don’t tend to dislocate a shoulder on a hit as much as a reach or holding a ball, while a DB tries to rip it away.  We don’t know what level,of subluxation he had.

Did we sign Fournette yet.

If it weren’t for COVID, I would be at the airport watching for him.

If you ever think the FO really cares about the fans...damn smh

I think BwF said it was very instinctive and a bang bang play

It’s football man. That’s a pretty standard football play.

I'm not skeptical at all.  The season is going to happen.  My excitement just isn't there.

Yeah I can't quite put my finger on it. Usually I listen to several Eagles podcasts a week but I have been hit and miss for a while. I guess it is due to the weird off season and perhaps in my head we aren't as close to the beginning of the season as we actually are.
