Hey you know what was really nice about the passing game today? None of those stupid receiver bubble screens that never work for us.

That backwards pass to smith was pretty dumb

Yeah they aren’t giving Lane the sack though they are putting it on Jalen. But Lane got beat quickly on that play.

Yeah Lane def was beat in less than 2 seconds but I think there was another guy on him (I think the TE) before Lane got to him - maybe that’s why it’s not going against Lane

Yeah... that's not true.

Relax, I was being mildly sarcastic

This is sort of surprising to me.  I would have thought after the drama of the past week, the Steelers would have focused on AJ Brown but apparently they mostly focused on shutting Barkley down.

This offense - at full potential - is almost impossible to beat.  You can’t focus on shutting every weapon down so when you focus on one area -  it opens up another area and that’s what happened last night.

Yeah I think Calceterra was meant to chip block but he didn’t really do a very good job of it. I don’t think that helped Lane and maybe that’s why it doesn’t go against him but I mean it really looked to me like that was on him.

Yup.  He's been a monster, but he has a lot of growing up left to do.    Might be worth benching him for the first series against Washington next week to send a little message.

I think as long as a Star plays like one he should be allowed some theatrics.

I'd rather root for the Vikings to lose one of the next 2, then win the finale and for the Lions to do whatever they do for the next 2 and of course lose to the Vikings in the finale. Then we get the 1 seed.

If we get the 2 seed, I have no fear of the Eagles going to Detroit. That's not a guarantee, just that all in all, I'm confident in the Eagles wherever they play. I'd just rather it be in Philly.

Agreed, but it's not really about home field for me. It's about the bye. To stay as rested and healthy as possible.

Don't forget that we arte now in a three way tie with the Broncos and Chargers for lowest points per game as well.

And seeing for like 3 or 4 times...our opponent scored a TD with like seconds left....it could/should be even lower.  Didn't like the Jaguars, Commanders, Rams and Browns all score meaningless end of game TD's?

Really an all around good win yesterday. The offense looked way more in sync yesterday, even though we couldn’t really consistently run on the Steelers D. Hurts made some really nice throws and it seemed like he saw the field well. I also liked that they / he took what the defense gave him. Just get positive yards instead of holding it forever (did it a couple of times, but still better than a lot this year) and taking sacks.

I still can believe what I’m seeing with our defense. They’re playing very well and stuffed the offense right from the start. That set the tone for the first half. Finally beat R. Wilson which was a nice side note.

ESPN said this is Jalen's 3rd 10 or more straight winning streak in the Regular Season (Yes he did it over two years in the other streaks):

21 (3) - 22 (8) = 11 Straight

22 (6) - 23 (5) = 11 Straight

24 (10) = 10 Straight

During the Win Streak Jalen has 26 Total TD's and 3 Turnovers (1 INT, 2 Fumbles)

A few weeks ago I said this was the best defense since the Jim Johnson years.

I’ll go ahead and put this out there - is this the best defense since the Buddy years?  (Not necessarily better than the Buddy defenses  but better than most defenses since Buddy?)

The '91 defense under Bud Carson with Buddy's players was the greatest Eagles defense ever.  Still is.

That defense wasn't only the best Eagle's defense ever, it was one of the best in NFL history.  I hate Bryce Paup!

Commies, Rams and Ravens did. Browns had no TDs against us.

Right...the Jags did too....so that is like 24 meaningless points in 14 games dropping our pts per game avg. almost 2 points per game.  Yes, I know all points count but......those points were completely meaningless.

Yea, this is a big part of why PFF is garbage. TJ had himself a nice game, there is no earthly way he had a 0.0% "pass rush win rate", early grading or not.

Yeah i was like no way PFF got to that conclusion. I love Lane but he had some issues with watt at times in that game.

Wouldn’t call the jags TD meaningless. They scored with 4 mins left to make it 28-23. Then got the ball back with 2 minutes and got down to the 13 yard line. finally the game was over when Dean picked a ball off in the end zone.

The thing to keep in mind is that if the Vikings lose between now and week 18, then that final Lions-Vikings game is meaningless because the Vikings would be locked into the #5 seed and only the Lions would have motivation to win to keep the #1 seed

We need the Lions to lose over the next two weeks, or the Vikings to lose a couple so they're motivated to hang onto the #5 seed in week 18

I agree.  That’s why I said "since those years”

Hell of an effort by Barkley. I don't think he'll break the record anymore

Basically depends on what happens against the Commanders.  If he rushes for 150+ still a decent shot at it.  Less than that and it’ll be hard.

Yea. He needs a big game in one of the last 3. No need in pushing the record on him and risking injury. He should've been pulled in the 4th quarter yesterday

That last drive to end the game was 2022 vibe. 21 play 10:29 drive to end the game. That's a championship level type of drive
