So Tim Tebow was a much better passer than we give him credit for according to this.

Hell of an effort by Barkley. I don't think he'll break the record anymore

There were two plays that looked like he was going to pop off but just got tripped up. So close.

He can go get 200 next week since im in the semi finals…

Our path the to #1 seed entirely rests on one scenario.  SF beats Detroit in 2 weeks, Detroit beats Minnesota in the finale.

Alternatively, we need to be eliminated from 1 seed contention so that everyone is rested week 18.

We don’t want the 1 seed hopes to be alive headed into that MIN/DET game just for it to go the wrong way.

I agree.  That’s why I said "since those years”

Well, that was a year after those years.   Buddy's tenure ended in 1990.  Nearly all the same players, but a very different scheme.

So both Minnesota and Detroit hold the tie break over us? That’s disappointing and it is starting to line up to be a situation where week 18 is meaningful and we still don’t get the #1 seed… That’s a problem.

The Minnesota tiebreaker comes down to strength of victory, at the moment.   So...

Yeah they aren’t giving Lane the sack though they are putting it on Jalen. But Lane got beat quickly on that play.

The ball was snapped at the 27 and Watt looped around all the way at the 15. Every RT on the planet is getting "beat” there if the QB takes a deep drop and then inexplicably drops back two extra yards instead of stepping up in the pocket.

That sack was 100 percent on Jalen.

I don't root for anyone to get hurt besides Clowney, but football IS a game of attrition.  And I don't feel bad for any team losing players (I always feel bad for the players).  We lost key players to injuries when we were on good runs in the past.  And of course, the pinnacle of overcoming such things was the Wentz/Foles situation.  Adapt and overcome. Or perish.  F it.

It is what it is and the Lions will not win the SB because their defense is thin AF now.

Not on point to your post, but I don't think any team can beat this Eagles team with this defense, if we can manage to keep what we got health wise into the playoffs.  And yeah, that includes the Bills, Chiefs and Bucs. WE are the team to beat.  Most complete and we have the defense.

In other news, I heard TJ Watt is OK - just rolled his ankle a bit. Great player and he gave Lane problems.

What can tilt the Minnesota tiebreaker in our favor?  That’s what’s statistically killing us.

One scenario is Minnesota losing a game between now and the finale and then beating Detroit.  But if they lose one game, they are going to rest for the finale against Detroit because they’ll be locked into 5.  So that scenario is a dead end.

2 loss Minnesota beating 2 loss Detroit doesn’t do us any favors if they have the tie breaker.

So it all comes down to SF vs Detroit unless we can flip that Minnesota tiebreaker.

Honestly, I can live with resting everyone week 18 instead of week 19 as the 2 seed.  But they sure as hell better not end up in a situation where they are playing week 18 for a 2% chance at the 1 seed.

I feel like we need DET to lose a division game against CHI (it happens) or treat 9ers like a trap ahead MIN. Then beat MIN in the finale somehow - like threading a needle.

If Geno is healthy, the Seahawks can beat Minnesota in Seattle on a short week, last night’s stinker aside.

We purposely tanked in 2020. We rested guys in 2021. We'll likely be smart.

Nolan is upto 5.5 sacks👀, he had a really active game yesterday.

Had to watch the game several hours after live airing.  Under discussed topic: Nolan Smith.

Showed he has that Dawg in him all night. Hunt too. Love seeing young homegrown guys stepping up.

No way — Lane took Watt as wide as you could reasonably expect. That’s a win 100% of the time because you expect the QB to step up in the pocket, not drop even deeper than the tackle to give the DE an angle.

A few weeks ago I said this was the best defense since the Jim Johnson years.

I’ll go ahead and put this out there - is this the best defense since the Buddy years?  (Not necessarily better than the Buddy defenses  but better than most defenses since Buddy?)

In terms if efficiency and effectiveness this D is every bit the equal to those Buddy Ds.  This team gives up fewer big plays than the Buddy D though fewer sacks and turnovers than Buddy's D.

That defense wasn't only the best Eagle's defense ever, it was one of the best in NFL history.  I hate Bryce Paup!

Bryce Paup, forever in my FU hall of fame.

I was in on Jalyx Hunt when he called Howie Big Pimping during the draft.

Eagles Defense held The Steelers to their lowest yards of the Season and in 14 years (2010).    It was also tied their lowest points scored of the Season (13)

I feel like he does that all of the time
