Great analysis Mark "Dirty” Sanchez. Any other blatantly obvious observations you wanna cry about?

If you would have told me a year ago we’d be the heavy favorite for the 2 seed after the collapse I’d be shocked

It lost them the game. The same way Saquon’s drop in the Atlanta game lost them that one. Obviously there are a bunch of plays over 60 minutes of football, but those are two bullet, end of game plays that if are catches ends the game. It happens, it doesn’t take away from how good of players Saquon and DeVonta are, but those two plays cost them two losses this season.

Opportunities to win and seal the game indeed. Agreed that plenty led to the L. As soon as Hurts went down I think we all knew what the outcome would be.

14-1 could have happened if not for 2 dropped passes

And probably 7-7 at best if not for all Barkley and Smiths good plays.

Smith had the huge one handed TD that he somehow stayed in bounds for against the Jags. They probably lose that game without it.

Strange counter but okay lol

Situation and when a play happens in the game absolutely matters.

It’s completely logical to judge Smiths drop differently than Pickett’s INT or other plays earlier in the game.

Of course it all contributes to the end result, but they are not created equal.

Honestly, the thing that bothers me the most about the offense from this game is Kellen Moore poor red zone play calling in the second half and not getting saquon involved in the pass game as soon as hurts was knocked out. To me commanders began selling out to stop the run and blitzing. I get he dropped an easy one but we could’ve made life easier on Pickett at times just giving him some dumpoffs to Barkley or a screen.

7-7 is strong, but they definitely deserve the benefit of the doubt.

No he just flat out dropped it. Leave the wondering to Stevie.

He said as much. He’s not much for excuses either.

Tbh when they got down 28-27 i thought it was an uphill battle to win simply cause the offense really didn’t look very good outside of getting DPI.

Wow the slow reaction on that fumble recovery TD was funny

How’s that strange? The point is they clearly have done more good than bad. While it would be nice to be 14-1, I’ll gladly take the current record and forgive them for bad drops.

I knew Pickett was going to turn the ball over and not give us much. When #8 left it was totally over.

I can see the argument if it's the final play.

The defense lost the game in that case. The offense was dealing with a backup QB who sucks and had the lead. The defense let Washington march down the field easily and gave up TDs in the 4th quarter and blew the lead. Smitty's play resulted in them settling for a FG but the team was still winning the game. Then, the defense gave up an easy drive and TD.

Regardless, a lot went wrong.

Good point from Kempski. CJGJ is a frustrating player but he definitely brings an attitude to the defense we lacked last year.

He's good. I still worry about his play-style long-term given his weight/frame. He takes a ton of hits.

Same as Lamar... same as Hurts (though he's built more stout, but still misses games due to injury seemingly every year).

Because your counter is more just what ifs than mine. We know those 2 dropped passes would have made it 14-1. Also just to counter it seemed like you just wanted to be a contrarian to the post lol

Besides Pickett didn’t think Moore did a great job in the second half in his play calling. I thought their red zone trip was some poor play calls on 3 straight plays. I also thought with how the commanders were selling out against the run and blitzing a lot that they should’ve been getting saquon or even gainwell some passes out of the backfield.

I would have won the lottery if I had selected the right numbers.

Wow vikings

Watching that Darnold facemask had me thinking about the refs picking up the roughing the passer flag against Kenny.

Olamide Zaccheaus had 5 catches for 70 yards and 2 TDs today against the Eagles.

Last year he had 10 catches for 174 yards and 2 TDs as WR3. This year for the Redskins, he now has 35 catches for 370 yards and 2 TDs. His contract is 1 year $1.3 million.

Jahan Dotson has 12 catches for 122 yards and 0 TD on the year. He cost the Eagles a 3rd round pick.

The Eagles have no idea how to use WR3.

Part of this is on the offense and having more talent ahead of him than the commanders do. They have mclaurin at wr 1. Then it’s a bunch of random guys like brown or Oz or crowder.

part of it is we don’t know how to develop WRs and utilize them in the offense if it’s not aj or smith. So some of it is on sirianni and moore. And some of it’s on moorehead not good at developing guys. Frankly i don’t think moorehead is fully to blame but what exactly has he done to say he’s a good WRs coach? A lot of coaches would look good coaching aj and smith.

You are correct. Your post is what if’s about 2 losses when we have 3 total. My what ifs are about the 11 wins we have. Bigger picture, I don’t care about two drops that turned to losses when the team is sitting this pretty. Maybe it wasn’t your intent but with all the whining this afternoon it seemed like another pile on Barkley and Smith. If not, my bad.
