He needs to start faking a different injury at the end of the season. This is getting lazy - like when sitcom writers recycle old plot lines.

So we're finally coming around to Greg Olsen sucks, eh?

Wasn't the whiny tone or the pandering to the Twitter dorks.

It was the revealing of just how true of a simpleton he really is - laughing at the Philly fan trope.

Whatever it takes I guess. Hope another high profile retired player signs with Fox and pushes Olsen down to the D team where he's always belonged.

It’s infuriating to see how well the Foreskins adjusted once Pickett was in the game.  They instantly altered their gameplan and they did it perfectly by run blitzing. Meanwhile, Kellen Moore didn’t seem to change anything on offense. No short passes, no screens, no adjustments. It was like they were just totally unprepared on offense when Hurts went out.

Yeah that kind of pissed me off

They would be crazy not to shut CeeDee down. I understood playing him last night as he practiced all week and Dallas was still alive. Now? He hurt his should worse and they're eliminated. What exactly are they playing for? Playing hurt veterans is dumb.

1) Likely he is shut down. 2) Dallas is out of it. 3) We need the W. 4) We beat the brakes off them last meeting in D.

10 plus sure feels like a lot though.

Rarely does Elliott come up short, it looked like he put too much height on the kick. In the playoffs 3 points matters more times than not. It's nice to have those kicks.

Dude, the ball doesn’t go as far when it is 28 degrees and windy. He hit that one about as good as he can.

I usually like Greg Olsen a lot, but yesterday he was definitely victim of the pro Commies propaganda that is pervasive among the national media now. It's everywhere and it's insufferable. So expect it going forward.

And if you think that's bad, when the Giants get Ward or Sanders(both of whom blow) they're going to be treated like the second coming of Joe Montana all season next year and they will fap over the most routine plays. Sanders throws a dump off pass to the RB. "Omg! What a heads up play by Sanders there reading the defense!" and blah blah blah

If they lose to Dallas, then they HAVE to play to win in Week 18.   They can't fall from the 2 seed all the way to the 6 seed... or potentially the 7.  That would be a collapse, almost as big as last year, just in fewer weeks.

I am curious how they handle the #1 reps this week in practice though.   Pickett is banged up, at minimum.   Does he get all the #1 reps, or do they mix in McKee?   Does Pickett practice all week, and then get ruled out last minute?   Does McKee take all the #1 reps, and then they go with Pickett if he's cleared?   And then there's the Hurts factor.   When can he actually practice?  The independent neurologist report will be an intrigue all week long.

Personally, I'd be ok with riding with McKee for the game if need be.   I'm really curious about him.  Granted, we don't see practice, but he does seem to always perform well in PS... of course, that's against mostly scrubs.  So, it might mean absolutely nothing.  Once upon a time, Brad Goebel looked good in preseason too, and we saw what happened with him when the games counted.

I agree that they’d have to give McKee a shot if Hurts is out an Pickett is limited.
But I do question that some here seem to think that McKee is some kind of savior (not saying you are one of them). There is a reason why he is the third stringer and one should think that the coaches know why that is. If he can’t beat out Pickett for backup then he can’t be that good to start. I’ve seen people calling for him to save us from Hurts, which makes absolutely no sense. If this guy is really that good, then he would not be riding the bench as a 3rd stringer.
Preseason says nothing IMO. There are always athletes that can perform when there isn’t much pressure to perform (real games that mean something). Once the lights go on, they turn into the Brad Goebels etc.. that should never see the field.

I would be furious if we did this with AJ Brown or Devonta Smith.

Hot take for fun -- Atlanta is going to curb stomp Washington on Sunday Night. They seriously are acting like they won the Super Bowl.

I was mad about it yesterday but they did just beat the supposedly best team in football and their QB had 5 TDs against the best defense.

I can understand them feeling themselves a little.  I hope we get them again.

Commanders obviously found something in the defense after he went out.

Few more thoughts on yesterday's game and moving forward:

- If you had told me before the game that we'd lose Hurts after 11 snaps, I'd have guessed we would lose by 2 scores. The defense has been great, but it is aided by the offense playing keep away as well. Based on what we saw of Pickett in the preseason, I would have thought this would have been like the DAL and NO games in 2022. The fact that a playoff team (albeit the worst one) needed a last second TD to beat us, at home...there's nothing to panic about.

- I really don't like to harp on the refs, but...WTF. The roughing the passer call on Milton on the 1st WSH TD drive was soft as hell. The call on Jalen Carter was even worse. And I really don't know you could get thrown out of a game for bad words. But the one that really killed us was the non-calls on AJ in the end zone -- PI on Lattimore, hit to the head on the safety.

- I have generally really liked Greg Olson, but...that was shameful yesterday by him and Joe Davis. Olsen crying about the PI calls on Lattimore that were obvious. Davis trying to hype up Washington beating a backup QB. And how does Fox not have any footage of whatever CJGJ did to get ejected?

- I want more transparency on the concussion protocol. Clearly Jalen thought he passed the exam and was coming back in. It's very suspect the NFL never answers for this.

- In a world where the top 2 wild card teams are significantly better than the potential NFC West and South champs, getting the 2 seed would be a blessing in disguise.

Basically, my opinion of this team hasn't changed one bit. I still see us as the best team in the NFC.

I also think Washington fans are setting up for RG3 v2.0.

Yes to all of this. I usually don’t complain about the refs but yesterday was ridiculous. Also, Olson delivered the worst commentating all year and that’s quite a feat.

The Eagles lack a WR with elite deep speed they could use on gadget plays. Screens, end arounds, sweeps, stretch the field, etc. I think they foolishly thought Ainias Smith was gonna be that guy, but anyone who saw him in college knew he's not that type of guy. So no idea what's up with that. When's the last time someone other than AJ Brown was wide open 30+ yards down field on a bomb?

That should be a target in the offseason. Draft one mid rounds.

It’s a 16 game record. If Saquon does it with the extra game, I think it loses value but that’s just my opinion.

Dickerson had two more games than OJ

It’s that McCollum and brown are both not good.

No, we didn’t. We held on and got a close win.

Eight points is not close, especially when the line for the game was 4.5 points.  You are letting your gut overrule your head.

None of you were saying this when they were about to attempt the onside kick.

We were "saying” what we felt at the time, not a thought-driven analysis of the facts on the table at that moment.

Greg Olsen has always sucked, fans have complained about him in prior games.

Daniels is the flavor of the month QB for the talking heads to hype up, and a lot of these former players absolutely hate Philly and their bias shows.

Well, since you decided to keep this going 20 hours later, I’ll restate my position.

I took exception with all the silly chest puffing yesterday about how the Eagles will easily steamroll WAS in the playoffs.

Many folks wanted to say that we dominated them in the first matchup…which is partially true. However, even with all of that domination, they still had a chance if they recover an onsides kick.

Do you think they are capable of scoring from the Eagles 40 with 30 seconds left? Of course they are….they just did it yesterday! And got the 2 point conversion.

So whatever. I believe WAS and Daniels have proven to be a bad matchup and very problematic for the Eagles. Others disagree I suppose.

The no call on the guy who swung at CJGJ is just impossible to understand.  The NFL needs to clarify if it is going to be ok to clock a guy if that guy starts things by chirping and taunting.  Of course they will say it isn't in which case they then need to put their hand up and agree that they missed the call on the guy that clocked CJGJ.

I don’t really get the Olsen hate. He was annoying but of course he’s going to play up the underdogs going blow for blow with one of the best teams in the NFL.

One thing I wonder.

So the Eagles had two games this season where they settled for FGs and lost because their defense gave up last second TDs.

If the situation happens in the playoffs where it's 4th and something not 1(taking tush push out of it) so say 4th and 2 or 4th and 3, and the Eagles are up 2 or 3(where an opposing TD will win it) do they settle for the FG again or are they haunted enough by those two games where they go for it next time?

No one likes deep speed more than me. But Devonta gets open deep a lot and the 3rd wr basically isn’t a position in this offense.  I dont think we throw enough for that to matter.

For me it was him constantly saying this that weren’t actually happening on the screen. He also seemed very pro Commanders throughout the broadcast and said some weird things about Hurts that I thought were poorly researched. Like saying "they want to keep him in the pocket because it’s not his strength…” when his stats from the pocket are great etc

Ive watched him broadcast Eagles games before and didnt feel that way but Sunday I thought he was awful.

Nick Sirriani with 2 injured quarterbacks…a real dream come true for his competitive advantage

I heard the opposite about the pocket. I remember him saying he was a great pocket QB but teams want to get him out and scrambling because he’s not great with that. I only remember this because it was a blog debate a month or two ago and I thought it would ruffle some feathers.
