Are players waived this late ineligible for the playoffs?

This sounds like some Dodgers BS to me.

Gotta wonder if Jerry saw the Diggs story and thought they were talking about his player so he cut him.

I can’t with this idiot. Nothing he says makes sense and his bf Siri isn’t anymore intelligent. What a disaster of an offense they’ve created

When I say Dallas is the worst run organization in the NFL and Jerry is clueless, this Diggs situation in what I'm talking about. It was obvious they were going to cut him this offseason -- no guaranteed money left, little dead money and not worth his contract. So why, in the name of God, did they bring him off IR and play him the last 2 weeks and risk him getting hurt? Then you could owe him an injury settlement.

Just a brainless organization.

You have to believe that Howie/Lurie see it. They must be able to see the potential and that it's being wasted

He could play in the playoffs if claimed on waiver or signed after he clears.

Great timing on this! He helped me win a fantasy football league this past weekend. Thanks for sweeping it under the rug until after championship weekend NFL!

One would think but they haven’t stepped in all year to fix it. So they’re either involved to a degree or are just waiting until the end of the season. But I would imagine they would be upset with a wasted year with this roster as well

I didn’t read these but the entire premise of both articles seems both obvious and idiotic

McLane lies all the time and keeps his job, so I'm sure Nick will be fine.

Just pointing out David Murphy and Mike sielski wrote the articles. He’s just promoting them.

lol Top secret stuff with LS

Seeing as long snapping is essentially throwing the football between your legs, the plan is to have Sam Hartman snap the ball faster than it's ever been snapped back to Tanner McKee (who has bunched his jersey so 16 looks like 10). Meanwhile, Fred Johnson is lined up as an extra tackle and he goes out for a pass.

No one will ever see it coming.

The O line injuries were mishandled this year. Mailata even said they were still worn out from all the running plays last season and the longer season with playing in the SB so a shorter offseason, which is a great thing of course. But they should have not rushed guys back from injury. Dickerson was hurt in camp or preseason whenever that was, and rushed back. Jurgens should have waited until he was truly ready. O linemen love being warriors that play through injury but when you are a detriment to the team you have to sit and get healthy. They can't even run the tush push as effectively, the main reason for that play isn't the push part it's the interior line and Hurts legs.

O line health was a huge issue not only for the lack of run game but also protecting Hurts on passing plays. We've talked about it a lot, but overall the problems with the OC and QB were the main talking points. If the O line were more effective and dominant (not expecting last year because that was epic, but something closer to that), and the run game were more productive that would have made a huge difference and made up for the passing issues.

A lot of us on this forum can see how evident the OL problems are. It's obvious that Dickerson, Jurgens, and Steen are not pushing anyone off the ball. Defenders are in the backfield before Barkley has any chance to react.

But all the casual fan ever sees is the QB. They may or may not know we have a new OC. They can watch a game, but have very little understanding of what's happening in the trenches. Since early in the season, I've been saying the OL is the biggest problem. Dickerson, Jurgens, and Steen are awful. Mailata has been okay, but even he is not as good as last year. And Lane Johnson has been out a lot. Fred Johnson has been okay, not great, but he is better than Matt Pryor was.

I thought the OL looked better when Toth was at center.

feel like the whole catch on to a team on a playoff run is more BS. They just didn’t want him there anymore and it’s been festering for weeks.

The plan is like calcaterra cause he’s an excellent blocker already so they figured he could also handle long snapping the ball since he’s got blocking part down.

Not that I'm a big fan of his work so far, but what part of this quote doesn't make sense? Basically they keep shooting themselves in the foot on first down causing 2nd and long and often 3rd and long - and it's very hard to win that way. That's a big part of how the offense got rolling last year, those first downs seemingly always picked up 2-3, and often 4-5 or more yards. Just keeps the rhythm going and makes it easier on everyone.

Now the problem might be why KP can't scheme up better first down plays, but that is a different critique.

Lol, McLane didn’t even write those stories.

Bo and EJ said they are leaning right now with the Eagles playing their starters a series or two and then pulling them.

That I can guarantee they won't do. If they are sitting they are sitting. It would make no sense to play them but only for a series.

Told him the same thing. I think McLane is a dbag but he also has broke a lot of eagles news over the years

Rest em, let McKee take care of Josh Johnson

What a nice guy

He has no guarantees left, so all you'd owe him is 500k of salary (1/17th of his 8.5mm salary) and ~59k in a gameday roster bonus if he's active this week. I guess you could pay that to have him as depth for the playoffs, then waive him after the season. Probably not worth it, but the cost isn't prohibitive.

You’re better at these things than I am but he did have a $9m injury guarantee that vests March 17. Maybe that has something to do with it? I expected him to be a post June cut myself. IDK.
