Sadly, I don't even think there's much there to arrest Diggs on. Her statement brings up some questions:

-- what do you mean you 'think' you're owed one month's pay?? I'm well aware if I'm missing 4 hours on my paycheck.

-- he came in your unlocked bedroom door. You're living there as a personal chef? That seems sketchy, especially when NFL teams have in-house dining options at their facilities.

-- she needed to report this as soon as it happened. Police need to be able to gauge what level of physical harm was inflicted

-- what company does she work for? Is she just some woman that cooks food?? Again, pretty poor choice to move into your client's residence unless (or even if) you're bonded through a reputable company who can stand behind you as an employee

So......I hate to be the one to say you really have no clue what you're talking about but....my sister was a personal chef for Steven Segal. She didn't work for a company, she lived in his home. And yes....he was a complete tool. And Steven Segal could have gone out and eaten at any restaurant. People with money want what they want when they want it.

Damn I would hate to see Nakobe leave. He's injured a lot, but he can play some football.

I'd probably keep him over Blankenship. As I value an LB over a S. Nakobe is a heat seeking missile out there. Reed is .....good.

The potential problem would come when you don't have either one. You'd need a Blankenship replacement that is at least as good. You KNOW Nakobe is going to miss games.

and my sister in law......she was Eli Manning's personal assistant and she spent plenty of time in his home with his kids and wife......guess she should have dropped on her back for him too? You really come off sexist and quite stupid.

My defense.

Edge: Johnson, Uche

DT: Young, Robinson
LB: Trott, Mondon
CB: Carter, Ringo, Bennett
S: Sam, Brown

No need to play Ojomo or Davis more than 10 snaps. The back 7 should have no starters play.

That might keep the Commanders under 21…

I bet she has some wild stories from that. He seems like an absolute nutter.

Do you think Diggs’ chef believes she made a smart career decision? I’m talking about personal security, you dolt. Never, ever put yourself into a position where you’re at risk of personal bodily assault or worse without any protection — especially in a potential assailant’s own residence.

I suppose you think your sister had a solid contingency plan if Segal decided to become violent? Oh yeah, I guess you never considered workplace violence actually occurs when you’re making good money.

Next time you try to insult someone about something you know nothing about do some research or suddenly acquire a higher IQ.

You do realize that a woman in ANY f'ing workplace is at risk right? A woman can work in an office building and be assaulted. You are saying basically because she worked and lived in his residence, she deserved it? I sure hope you don't have any daughters. But maybe with your neanderthal thinking you do, but they just stay at home for their husbands, dropping on their backs getting knocked up. Must be a proud papa them not putting themselves at risk!

So, decided to take a look at how we can manage this offseason with our cap situation. Starting with ~$20.4mm in cap space per Sptotrac, cutting Michael Carter gets us to $29.3mm. Then I do 4 things which net out to a cap hit of around $1.6mm.

  • First - extend Jordan Davis with $100mm of new money for 4 years, making his total contract 5 years, ~$113mm. This reduces his 2026 cap number to $5.7mm, adding $7.2mm in space.

  • Second - extend Jalen Carter with $100 million over 3 years, on top of exercising his 5th year option for $25.6mm. Total contract is 5 years, $132.5mm by rolling in the last year of his rookie deal at $6.9mm and his 5th year option. He still gets $33.3mm per year in new money. Makes his 2026 cap number $6.5mm, saving $400k.

  • Third - resign Phillips for 4 years, $100mm. $6.2mm 2026 cap hit.

  • Fourth - resign Reed for 2 years, $18mm. $3mm cap hit

This would leave us with ~$27.7mm to fill out the roster -- need CB2, TE and depth on the edge for sure. Dean walks so Campbell can play. But this all can be accomplished.

Interesting... but how does this line us up for 2027 and beyond? Does it hamstring things? Are you assuming AJ Brown is gone at some point? Maybe here for 2026, but gone after that?

I never said "stop running”. I said "slow down” as in they get slower, aren’t as effective, and therefore can’t/don’t run as often or as well. They also should slide but I’ll go with your point of Hurts doing that too early. I’m sure he’s been coached to do that.

Anyway, you can count on one hand the dual threat QBs who didn’t slow down over the years. The pocket becomes far more important. Lamar is moving into that phase now.

In the end if the day, we didn’t have enough OL depth and the coaches have not been creative enough to overcome that issue together with Hurts’ limitations. None of that puts any blame on Hurts in my opinion. He is who he is and has always been that way.

Edit: You and I are I basic agreement as to who Hurts is and I then shift the burden to the coaches and Howie who also know full well who they gave at QB. FWIW - I am very happy to have Hurts and hope he gets a full shot again next year and perhaps beyond.

I do think we agree on a lot about Jalen Hurts.

I'm not convinced, though, that every running QB will lose the ability to run late in their careers. There's a very good chance that a speed guy like L. Jackson will eventually lose a step and not really be as quick. But Jalen is more of a power built runner than a speed guy. He's not extremely quick but can get to good speeds once he gets going. As long as he stays in the weight room and keeps in shape, I don't see him losing any "speed." History is full of QBs that didn't work as hard on their bodies (as Jalen) and sported those dad bods in their 30s.

The argument most people have is that running more = more missed games due to injury. I don't think the NFL really has enough data on that since dual threat QBs were rare until the last 10 years or so. Cunningham had his major injuries in the pocket and never felt comfortable staying there until his time in Minnesota when he had good pass protection for the 1st time in his life. I don't think his lack of running at the time had anything to do with physical deterioration. Vick was still beating Shady in foot races late in his career. Elway and Young both kept running late in their careers. My thoughts are whether you run or pass, QBs are going to take hits every year. The ones in the pocket, IMO, are more dangerous than the ones they take when running. Of course it isn't wise for QBs to lower their throwing shoulder to attempt to truck defenders. We saw Jalen get that grade 1 shoulder sprain doing that. There may be a moment in a playoff game where there's no choice, but those are the decisions that should be left up to him. But if he commits to finishing some of those runs he starts, he's a big enough and strong enough runner to bounce off people that go for the hit over the tackle and he will help keep some drives going, which in turn will provide more opportunities to pass the ball to guys like Brown, Smith, and Goedert.

Hurts was a SB MVP and puts up 30 TDs every year with low turnovers and is a dangerous run pass combo.

I wonder how many of those 30 TDs were Tush Pushes. Yes they count for 6 points same as a passing TD. I doubt those other QBs have as many rushing TDs.

You can look back at the history of the league. Guys like Dante Culpepper, Donovan McNabb, and Steve McNair compare favorably with Hurts. They all slowed down over time. Even the likes of Russel Wilson, Elway, and Steve Young slowed down. I'm not saying they stop running completely. They just aren't as quick and don't run as often. They all improved in the pocket to offset their declining run game. Vick is an exception. Lamar looks to be slowing down to me even though he's still top 2 or 3 in the league.

But not a single one of those guys worked out like Jalen does to stay in shape.

Admittedly, I have less evidence to go on.

Jalen isn't close to those "alarming: ages yet, so don't waste a good thing.

Yeah well many have slowed after 5 or 6 years including McNabb. I think Hurts top speed is just as fast but he isn't as quick or maneuverable as he was back in '22. No matter, he can be a better QB if he can take another step in the pocket game and he's still young enough to develop further. He probably needs a top coach who stays around a few years and then maybe he can take another step or two forward. He has a set of elite level skills to build around but he has some clear challenges as well.

I would go live with Ana de Armas and cook for her. I hope she likes grilled cheese and cereal without milk. Where does your sister apply for those jobs?

He's got 6/8 rushing TDs for 1yd that are likely the sneak this year

Looks like he had 11/14 rushing TDs for 1yd that are likely the sneak last year
