It's there for the taking for them too. The Dodgers are frauds. In all my years watching sports, there has never been a more overrated team than the Dodgers. The Phillies are going to go into another season with arguably the worst outfield in baseball, which is totally unserious. And a lineup full of old and declining bats. They need another high level bat, and they won't do it because the owner cut off the spending and the GM is totally full of himself.

He could definitely have more passing yards, but 6000, easily? 5k+ has only been done 10x. The top three qb’s that did it were P Manning, Warner, and Brees. Brady is 4th with the Bucs, and Mahomes is somewhere around 7th or 8th. I think for him to be able to do that (it is possible with 17 games now) would be to completely change the way he plays the game. Hurts is risk averse, he doesn’t like to make a lot of tight window throws, and as has already been mentioned he doesn’t attack the middle of the field, not that that’s his fault, it’s the offense he plays in. Could he become a D Brees style QB? I just don’t think that’s his game. His best production passing the ball in a single season was in college at OU, he threw for like 3900 yds in fewer games than the NFL plays.

I only post in hyperbole.

Happy New Year Blog !

Even Peyton sucked in his last SB win. The defense won that one

Kinda like the Eagles in last year's Super Bowl? Hurts certainly didn't suck but the Defense was primarily responsible for that win. There was no defensive player that was head and shoulders above the other defensive players so as per previous Super Bowls the winning QB was MVP. I don't care enough to go back and look but I'll bet over the past 10 years the winning QB was MVP 6 or 7 times.

Big play from the big Oregon DE… Uleungalai (sp?).

Wins and playoff wins through age 27

Mahomes 64 and 11

Brady 48 and 9

Bradshaw 44 and 7

Hurts 57 and 6+

Aikman 38 and 6

Allen 63 and 5

McNabb 43 and 5

Elway 46 and 4

Montana 28 and 4

Rodgers 27 and 4

Lamar 70 and 3

Marino 54 and 3

Manning 54 and 2

No one on this list was traded before 34

That guy was growing fat rings every year like he was a tree and put up 7 total in 2 back to back playoff type games vs Dem Boyz

Goff 45 and 2 (traded at 26 after back to back 9 win seasons and no playoff wins following a 3 point Super Bowl)

Stafford 42 and 0 (traded at 33 with 0 playoff wins (0-3) in 12 years)

Wentz 32 and 0 (traded like a Pokemon card)

Good luck to the "its a team stat" clowns finding another QB to do the same.

This team is 3-3 when Hurts does not play including Minshew going 0-2 on a 13-2 Hurts team with the starters.

Minshew started his career with 9 TDs to 1 pick with a 105 rating.

They were 9-7, 9-7, and 4-11-1 in the 3 years before Hurts was the starter.

Actually in that one Von Miller got MVP

Cooper, Milton, Josh, or Moro were good choices

They were but no one was head and shoulders above the others.

Cooper did have a pick 6 though that was a game changer

It was and set the tone for the game but maybe rookies don't win Super Bowl MVP, dunno.

Honestly, I get why Hurts got it because it's an offensive league, but it's wrong nobody on that defense got it with one of the best defensive performances in a SB of all time. Has to be top 5 in the last 40 years without question. Coop with that pick 6 was a game changer. Milton was an animal. It's a shame. I don't think they crossed the 50 until the second half. Crazy.

They can pay Bregman, Bellinger, or Tucker 18 million a year + 55 million spread from 2040-2045 and promise him a job as the Phillies ambassador to Yeungling, WaWa, or TastyKakes. (Dodgers precedent)

Never mind Lane not practicing. Guess they ramp him up next week.

Josh Sweat would be SB MVP if they didn’t give it to Hurts and I don’t think it would have been particularly close

Thats how I see almost any QB in the league compared to what we have.

Didn't want him, they dodged a bullet there, they need bats, which they are not going to add either, because the recurring theme with this front office is they make minor tweaks every offseason and run it back again because they are not serious about winning.

Winning a lot of regular season games against the dregs puts the suckers in the seats. That's all they care about. Then Red October comes and they flop like fish out of water.

I'm glad they kept Schwarber. I want to see him hit 500 on this team.

I loathe Topper but Mattingly can be the man he is not. (If they actually hire him?)

The reluctance to spend to improve the team in this window is maddening.

So, it appears that the teams getting the bye in the college playoff are about to hit 0-6. Wow.
