Makes me think Epps is going to play.

Six Playoff QBs who have reduced their sack % during 2025:

Sack % through game 8 -  4.7%    After game 8  - 3.1%

Sack % through game 6 -  7.4%    After game 6  - 3.7%

Sack % through game 8 - 10.4%   After game 8  - 2.9%

Sack % through game 9 - 11.8%   After game 9  - 5.6%

Sack % through game 9 -  7.6%    After game 9  - 5.7%

Sack % through game 8 -  5.2%    After game 8  - 3.2%

2 are probably going to be 1 and 2 in MVP voting.

2 are working on 7+ game win streaks

The other 2 are going to be the 2nd or 3rd seed in the NFC.

It definitely means Mailata isn't playing. The question is who starts at RT Williams or Pryor.

Is Blankenship worth $14 million a year? Not sure.

Like the guy but no

The up to usually means it’s not as much as the number

Ummmmm that’s a hard pass. He’s not one of the 5-6 cornerstones that you NEED to sign long term

Mukuba flashed some this year but is still a relative unknown.

Would look for a mid round gem at safety in the 2026 draft.

I think Blankenship goes and gets his payday elsewhere.

I'm also completely against keeping him because he's buddies with Cooper just like I'm against keeping any of the Georgia guys because they're buddies

Old way of thinking that combined stats are only made to make a player look better?

You can call me a hater but if you stick Hurts on another team then I doubt he makes those 3 SBs. He's got a superb supporting cast and you guys constantly attribute team stats solely to him. Do I think Hurts is good? Yes. Do I think he's great? No. He got lucky that he's on a team with this type of talent

Even Peyton sucked in his last SB win. The defense won that one

Peyton played in a stacked offense his entire career, played till he was 39 and didn't play in his 3rd and final Super Bowl until he was 39. Jalen Hurts has a real chance to play in his 3rd Super Bowl at just 27 years old. Not a lot of QBs have gone to at least 3 Super Bowls and those that do don't go this early in his career, except for two.

I spot checked some guys that went to at least 3 Super Bowls and the youngest ever to do it was Tom Brady at 27 years old. Jalen Hurts has a chance to get to 3 at 27 years old tying Brady and Mahomes for that.

Brady 27

Mahomes 27

Big Ben 28

Elway 29

Aikman 29

Bradshaw 30

Montana 32

Kelly 32

The Eagles aren't the first team or even the only team in the league to have a talented roster. QB has the biggest impact on winning and losing and the Eagles have a historic young winning QB. If Jalen makes his 3rd Super Bowl this season then he is an automatic to the Hall of Fame.

Why? Wouldn’t you think that would make it harder to retain any of them in the future

NFC has been wide open for years. There's been more competition in the AFC for a long time now

Teams have been carried by defenses before. Eagles 2024 success was the defense, Oline, and Barkley

Was sure they'd elevate Andre Sam so Epps wouldn't have to play. I still don't think he does. Makes me think they're going to elevate Gabe Hall so Ojomo doesn't have to play any snaps, have Michael Carter play S and let Mac McWilliams play the slot.

Also possible they let Calcaterra handle the LS duties and let Brandon Johnson play the other safety spot (even though he's listed as a CB)

Epps has looked competent of late. Wonder if they bring him back.

Seems reasonable and shouldnt break the bank

Yeah. Unfortunately, Blankenship and Dean are this year's casualties on the defense. As Eagles should be focusing on JD, JC and JP. If they sign those 3 guys, Howie has had a great offeseason of keeping the core defense together. Expect DG to be gone as well.

Next year, we hopefully resign Coop and Mitchell, as no brainers. Then choose between Nolan or Hunt. Leaning on Hunt being the keeper. Regardless, Nolan stays for his 5th year. Will need to see if he stays healthy for a full season. Ojomo leaves with JD & JC already receiving huge money at DT. With the Draft and budget type FA signings, we should be able to fill in the holes sufficiently.

Do they pay Phillips big money with his injury history?

To the surprise of no one

As long as he continues on the same track, I think his comfort level with Fangio and being on a Superbowl contender is going to weigh big here. And I'm sure playing next to 2 young studs in JC & JD also factors in.Think they find common ground and sign him.
