What in the world is the relevance of that point then? How does it diminish the incredible feat it would be if Jalen Hurts takes this team to a 3rd Super Bowl because the level of competition in the AFC before Jalen Hurts entered the league was better?

It doesn't make any sense.

First of all.. Hurts didn't take us to the SB. You're always attributing team accomplishments to him to make him look better than other QBs. And if anything it was the defense, Oline, and Barkley that was the success

AFC has had more competition because there's just been more talent on that side of the conference for over a decade

Letting Reed go leaves a massive hole at S. I liken him to Mikkel, you really don’t realize how good he was till he’s gone for a lot of you. I think they make a push to keep him. If the money isn’t right, the money isn’t right…but he won’t walk without a decent offer from Howie. He’s the glue piece of the DB’s IMO. Solid fundamental team player.

I understand the point you're making about Blankenship being steady, which he is, but for a 3 year stretch, Quentin Mikell was a borderline All-Pro player (based on voting) and made the Pro Bowl. The game was much different 15 years ago too where FS/SS really mattered. It's a much more interchangeable position now.

I'd be 100% content with Epps back on a 1-year deal paired with Mukuba. One of my dream draft scenarios is Caleb Downs getting pushed down in the draft. Even if Blankenship doesn't get a huge contract, he's going to get a significant bump. I'd much rather that money go towards the DL/Dean.

Always nice to see an overrated 3 loss team get their head handed to them in the playoff.

One of the most under appreciated glue guys of this franchise.

Not sure we under appreciated him. I think the rest of the league did. Pity most of his career he had inconsistent QB play.

Elite blocker, hard to bring down after the catch. He did it all. Great player.

I don’t disagree, but I’d rather spend money on a competent safety over a 2 down LB

Indiana is for real. This is a tough football team.

Some appreciated him around here. Others quickly forgot what he was towards the end.

Celek is a fat arse who drinks to much beer and can barely run a 7 yard L pattern.

Very well Coached and disciplined. Tackle well.

Have to assume their DC will be a top HC candidate

Hurts has taken the Eagles to 2 Super Bowls already. He is in position to taking them to a 3rd this postseason.

The AFC having more competition prior to Jalen Hurts entering the league (debatable) is completely irrelevant to the topic though. Like what is the point of stating it? Why does it tie into your current attempt to diminish what Hurts has accomplished already? How does it possibly even fit into your argument for that at all?

Still better now than Calcaterra.

Just saying blakenship and celek (in his athlete days) look like they could be related.

Peyton Manning played in 4 SBs. Two each with Colts and Broncos.

(this is pointed at the cult, not the OP)

He had 3 TDs to his team and 2 to the other team in those 4 games.

Hurts could have won 5 SBs on those loaded teams, easily.

Those were some of the best teams in NFL History but their QB was a choke artist.

Manning's 2 SB win playoff stats

2006 3 TDs to 7 picks

2015 2 TDs to 1 pick

He was an anchor they overcame in one and he was a passenger in the other.

In 2006 Manning had 3 picks in a 23-8 win over KC. The D held KC to 116 yards.

In the next game they won 15-6 on 5 FGs. Manning had 175 total yards and a 39.6 passer rating.

Hurts has 8 TDs to 1 pick and 10 rushing TDs to 1 fumble for

18 TDs to 2 turnovers in his 2 SB years.

Manning has 16 TDs to 13 picks and 1 rushing TD with 4 fumbles for

17 TDs to 17 turnovers in his SB years.

The one thing consistent with the useless ignorant is that they are always religiously ignorant.

They were told some Peyton Manning propaganda and they have zero ability to be curious or to learn.

Imagine being so indoctrinated that you would think 17 to 17 is better than 18 to 2.

If this guy falls into late RD2, I would not hesitate to draft him. Dude is going to be an enforcer at the next level.

The other Toledo DB worked out really well.

I remember him retiring as a key piece to turning spare parts into an elite running attack. That’s me though 😂

Gotta hope they get a Sunday playoff game instead of a Saturday to give him some more time.

Carter added to the injury report with a hip, but assuming it's not much given he and others won't be playing Sunday.

This game is a perfect example of why prospect rankings mean nothing till draft time. This was supposed to be a stocked QB draft…and we are watching probably the top 2 QB prospects play each other. Both were after thoughts going into the season. Mendoza has a lot of tools but whoever gets him is gonna rush him into playing too quick. Simpson I can’t figure out.
