This is not a murderer’s row of aerial targets. Only 3 of those WRs will likely be on the field for most snaps. Goedert and a rookie mid round TE aren’t giving anyone nightmares in 12 personnel.

Defenses will know exactly who to key on…Smith.

You might be consistently wrong, but you certainly are consistent.

Watkins is burned into his memory.

Good. He should burn Raegor and Marcus Smith in there too while he's at it.

The Rams likely take Lemon if they don't go QB. The Rams are a top 5 organization.
The Steelers were willing to trade up for Lemon. The Steelers are a top 15 organization.
We traded up for Lemon. We are a top 5-10 organization.

Lemon was 13th on the consensus board.

Maybe Lemon is just....good?

Nah, can't be. Eagles456-7 said he isn't.

I GUARANTEE that if Lemon got drafted by the Rams, Cowboys, Giants, Commanders, Lions, Bears, Seahawks, etc. the same fans complaining about him would be whining that they got better, got a steal. And then complain all Howie did was reach for an OT.

Facts. Some people just aren't happy unless they are miserable.

So if white goes for 30 tonight we know why lol

You are absolutely the only person I’ve come across who has called this a pretty decent OT draft. It’s a terrible one. There’s not one guy who would be a first round pick in a good OT draft. Not one. A few guards, yes, but tackles, uh uh. You may turn out to be right but I have my doubts.

This year saw 7 OT's go round 1 versus 5 last year. Sure, that's a somewhat circumstantial argument, but in an awful class, teams will generally stay away from a position. 2025 was noteworthy for a flurry in the top 10 (which is a range that is irrelevant for us anyway)....and then a terrible void.

To brainstorm it out....and I don't know how this is going to look as I type:

So the 2025 best "attainable" OT's were Josh Conerly Jr. and Josh Simmons (and then another huge gap).

The 2026 best attainable OT's were Blake Miller, Freeling, Iheanachor, and Lomu.

Reaching back to 2024 (using prospect status, not hindsight), the best attainable OT's were Amarius Mims, Troy Fautanu, Jordan Morgan, Tyler Guyton.

Is the 2026 group inferior? I don't know that it's so objectively deplorable. Now, if the Eagles just didn't like Iheanachor in particular, since he was the rational move there, then that's fine that they didn't reach for need. My lenses just see a bottom heavy deep vault of comparable but unspectacular WR talents extending from 20 well into round 2 this year....and a spectacularly, rarely talented 2027 WR class next year contrasted against an OT class with no early momentum.

Captain buzzkill at it again trying to rain on everyone's parade. You obviously didn't do your homework and simply listen to all of the draft experts out there if you think this was a great draft for OT. After Mauigoa it was question mark after question mark. Is Fano a guard with his short arms. Is Proctor better suited for guard and can he keep his weight down. Freeling and Iheanachor have very limited experience and are legit projects. Miller has about zero upside. Lomu has major questions about play strength.......etc etc.

Oh come on...listing Smith, Wicks, Lemon, Hollywood Brown, 31 year old Goedert, and an unnamed mid round rookie TE and saying oh who oh who will defenses defend is absolute peak homergasmic insanity.

Yeah, everything I read and heard was it wasn't a great class. Baldy isn't always right by any means but even he was saying Lane's replacement wasn't in this draft. Plus as a whole people said this was a weak class, so Howie getting someone he loved vs a project was the smart move. Maybe a few of these OL become good or maybe they become Danny and become firefighters.

If Dallas called the Eagles to screw the Steelers like in the video I posted that's hilarious

Coming from the guy who continues to double on pure horseshit that this was a good OT draft that is laughable. Smitty is a legit number 1 alpha WR. Lemon can come right in and be a 2 or 3. Wicks is perfectly fine as a 3. Hollywood Brown can stretch the defense and is also a legit number 3. 31 year old Goedert is still a 60 reception/600 yard TE per 17 games and is coming off of a career high in TD's. It's pretty simple stuff you FN dummy, while Smitty is a legit number 1 the point is they will have several options who can do different things which means defenses can't cover everyone.

What are they allowed 2dbs on the field at a time against the Eagles?

Here's a good game. Let's predict where the offense will rank in the NFL in passing yards, total yards, and points scored. When I hear that defenses won't know who to cover, that signals, to me, a massive problem and a top 5 offense. If you are outside the top 8 or so in scoring and more than a few points off the top, I'd argue teams know who to key in on.

The 2025 rankings: 23/24/19

Where will we be in 1 year?

I'm going to go 16/16/16.

Dom needs to keep him from ever wearing them indoors again
