Wonder who if anyone could have value and be traded for picks tomorrow. McKee? Maybe one of the corners? No one probably wants them. Shipley? Cooper?

Maybe just McKee I guess.

Why are people so in love with day 3 draft picks that we want to trade away a top backup QB in a contending year?

Agreed. You only trade McKee if you are overwhelmed at this point. He's cheap help at worst. And still a pretty decent prospect. People counting on Dalton at age 39 next year, who has played minimally in 3 years is not a great idea. Still can extract value here and can trade Mckee later during the season. We could also get a 4th Rounder Comp Pick next offseason (around a $15M salary per year in a new contract in free agency), if he shows anything at all in his playing time this year. Rather just wait and keep him and see if he could build his trade value and/or compensatory pick value.

Maybe something interesting happens here on day three but unlikely. Looking so far, the short term verdict is up to Lemon and Greenard ( including the trade here as draft day move) to make big contributions this year and other guys have room to grow. The OT pick looks like a project meaning we have several now in play hoping that we don’t have to go way up to get Lane’s replacement.

I think his biggest draft fans see him as a big slot. He might have the frame and testing athleticism of an X, but he doesn’t have any of the technical skills. He’s new to TE so he can learn the nuances, but it’s a big stretch to project him to being a real X receiver. It’s the hardest WR position to play.

And that goes back to why I don’t like our first pick. A primary slot WR in round 1 and a hybrid TE who is primarily a big slot may not fit well together.

Draft today. Barely. Need more picks.

Bell is almost too big for the NFL. That man is a lump. If drafting him at 3 means this is the last year of Fred Johnson as the swing tackle, then not the end of the world at all.

Funny thing is, on X is lots of fans complaining about the Eagles getting away with it again

So far this draft is a meh for me.

Big if true

They had two in system. Safety or edge would have been a better pick. Feels like he is too big like you said without Stout to coach him up. If nothing else trade back and tale him.

They do. But seems that Hinton is seen as a G and we don't know on Thomas. Would my preference have been elsewhere? Yep

Wish list

Dennis-Sutton, Malik Muhammad, Jude Bowry, Kaleb Proctor, Van den Berg, Thad Dixon, De’shon Singleton, Dan Villari, Febechi Nwaiwu, Micah Morris, Xavier Nwankpa, Rene Konga, Jack Strand

Oh good Jordan Matthews endorses him.

Yup...the Eagles appear to be past the point of wheeling and dealing for this year. The tradeworthy players like McKee can now happen at a much later time, most likely closer to training camp as teams sort through the rosters. Everything at this point should be about loading up assets for next year.

So how did Bell fall to round 3? And it looks like we took him higher than he was projected

Could have done without this post and this comparison in my head.

The more I watch Stowers videos the less I am convinced we are going to see him at tight end.

Because of the players they drafted? Or because you feel they should have addressed different positions?

I have to say I think we overpaid for Greenard. I get that the edge market really got out of control in FA, but two 3s is a lot for a 29 year old coming off an injury.

Maybe overpaid in picks but underpaid in contract value. That was basically the tradeoff.

While we all love Stoutland, the sentiment on here that he is the only/best guy who can coach Oline is ridiculous. Not saying Kuper will be as good, but also he may be. 8 years playing G in Denver after being a 5th round pick, started 79 games, made pro bowl, became 2nd highest paid offensive lineman lin Broncos history in 2010, coaching in pros since 2016, last 4 as Oline coach. Hopefully we get him as he is hitting his prime.

If Stowers is willing and able to make contact with a defender on every play, that would be a huge upgrade

Yeah I loved Stout but it’s not like the Eagles Olines were bad before he got here. The Eagles have had good Olines for decades. At the very least since Andy. They have developed very well there as well. I don’t think that leaves with Stoutland.

The Stout Slurping is way out of hand. Sure he was a nice OL coach when he wasn't sabotaging the offense, but we've had great OL for the past quarter century.

The key factor is TALENT, as it always has been.
