Damn - they took my kick returner in the 4th (!).

I wonder if there was even a market for him. I’d be curious to hear how the rest of the league sees him.

Obviously not or Howies price tag was unrealistic.

I doubt Jalyx will give up his number. 46, 46, 57, and 91 are available.

One of those will have to go to Makai Lemon too.

Wade Woodaz ... ROFL

I feel bad for the guys they recently added (Wicks, Lemon, Stowers, Greenard) because they basically have a bunch of trash numbers left to choose from. Did 52 get taken after Smith retired because Greenard wore that in Houston.

Seems a bit early for Wetjen no? Great returner but in the 4th?

he was unguardable 1 on 1 at the senior bowl. teams always seem to boost those senior bowl standouts.

True. But this is a short-term dip in player availability. Eventually this will become steady state, where players that stay longer will eventually run out of availability.

Or Congress passes Tuberville’s bill that limits transfers and eligibility. (The Constitutional scholar in me thinks that may violate the laissez faire clause but….)

I don’t see Hurts in a Run n Shoot. (Probably more experience viewing that offense than most. Jack Pardee, Mouse Davis, June Jones took it from the Gamblers to UH). It’s a receiver read offense, kind of like the RPO for the QB but each of the receivers doing the read options for which way to take their route. If you think Hurts is slow in progressions now, put him in the Run n Shoot.

I think this is more like a combo of Lincoln Riley’s tiered looks from an Air Raid perspective combined with the Shanahan move offense. That fits Hurts well. (Think he can’t throw over the middle, watch him with a guy named Lamb on his OU tape).

Both approached the Run part of the offense similarly and it fits well. Note, those offenses require receivers and TEs that can move block. Eagles brought in two WRs that can do that and I suspect so can Stowers. Note their signing of Smartt. (And the possible return of Johnny Wilson, who outweighs Smartt by a couple pounds).

Yeah, I figured if they were more serious about playing to Jalen’s strengths that they’d go Kingsbury/air raid - but the McVay/Shanny stuff is copycat.

I wasn’t particularly serious about run&shoot more like painting a picture of a bunch of 10 personnel where Stowers is a big slot.

theres one LB better than Dee Winters. Nice pick for the Bills.

When is our fifth round pick?

  1. 38th in the round.

I get to see a lot of TCU games down here and KEO was almost always around the ball. Good player

Ok well cancel my thoughts on numbers and Wicks I just saw that Elijah Moore switched to 19 and Wicks is now 13. Lurie needs to stop with his BS of not allowing 12 and 9 to be given out. They also need to politely tell Braden Mann to give up 10 and take some random number since he's a FN punter. With 90 man rosters by the time you get to the draft players have barely anything left to choose from.

There is one number in the 80's (85) available and nothing from 0-19 at this point. Lemon and Stowers are going to get stuck with some dogshit numbers. I wonder if either of them will have the balls to take 11 after June 1st, lol.

Seen the new commercials that the Super Bowl is on ESPN next year... thank God. now I wont have to deal with that jag off Cris Collinsworth

that man is EASILY the absolute WORST commentator on TV

I dont think the weakness of the back half is a reality.

You don’t? I sure do. It’s not just that the players appear ordinary; it’s also that teams have been tossing late draft picks into trades because they don’t think they’re valuable, as we did the two 4ths for example. Or Greenard for 98 and a third in 2027. And it’s not just the Eagles.

some OL help for Burrow!

Refresh my memory, they do let players change numbers after cut down day correct?

Doesn't really matter - their defense is still gonna suck

I just expect them to take a stab at one. Hurtt seems to be very good at developing guys.

We have pick #244.

We are going to take the kid from Nigeria, Uar Bernard. Basically Mailata, but a DT.

Like I said, we tossed away our 4ths, but Dallas has 3. Someone else just said Cleveland has numerous 5ths.

Dallas always drafts well. Cleveland has some of Howies understudies in their FO who are smart people.

Not having these 4ths is going to hurt us. There were valuable players available here.

Not every team is making good picks. SF just took a waste at OL. But the Bengals just got a potential starting center. You just have to be looking at the right guys...
