I’m surprised Bryce Lance hasn’t been picked yet. He has some ball skills and elite speed.

Thats weird. And its not rawness, because Brazzell went yesterday... Lance is the better prospect.

I love these idiots in the crowd that are cheering for players that they have absolutely no idea how good they are..

My counter point would be that our OC played with Cooper Kupp, comes from the McVay system, and is being given liscense to make the team how he sees fit both schematically and personnel wise. On top of that, he’s going to be doing the play calling.

I think Lemon is going to be good. Maybe not 160 targets with 1700 receiving yards like Nacua good, but I don’t see him getting 50 catches for 600 yards as his baseline expectation.

I just don’t think Hurts is going to be able to run this offense efficiently. We are going to need a new QB to make this thing work in my view.

Again, I hope I’m wrong, but that’s the way I see it. 2026 is probably going to be ugly with a new scheme, new personnel, and awkward QB fit. Things should improve from there though.

I think they are going to be patient with installing this offense this year. Obviously you always want results. But Mannion also doesn't have as many years overall coaching experience. They are gambling on him, but also giving him Grizzard to support. This year is install the system, evaluate all the players existing and new and decide what else changes next offseason. Trading Hurts is absolutely on the table along with seeing how the O line adjust to the blocking scheme. Barkley will also be gone when the time comes financially. At this time next year they'll be looking at entering the 2nd year in the system and I would guess the expectation at that time is Super Bowl. Yes, it's still a window now and if things go really well they can compete again. But I think they're "ok" with this year showing the improvement on offense. As we all know, the QB is vital so if Mannion and Hurts turns out to be a good match and he does really well, then we could be looking at a 2022 type season under Steichen. But Lurie, Howie and Nick will be observing what's working and what's not. If it's clear the coaching and scheme and some new additions are working and they need a change at QB, they have proven in the past to not be afraid to do that.

Frankly, I think they may even get to a place of rookie QB deals with a strong defense and supporting cast.

Dallas always sucks, but they usually draft players we like.

They ended up with 3 4th round picks, and us 0.

They just took an OT better than the one we took in round 3.

And they just drafted Devin Moore, a CB with our pick. CB is a need for us. Devin Moore is not my guy, but there are a bunch of CBs that fit for us still out there.

Will see what they do with the next pick.

Let’s consider Moore. Last year they hired Eberfaus who ran a ton of zone with their press corners. Just hired Parker, who seems to favor zone and drafted a CB that is best in press. Now that could be that Parker liked Q’s ability to press (and the Eagles signing of Wooten may play on that here), but that kind of goes to a Jerry habit of not looking at players abilities in the cowpads scheme.

So when did it become known that this years crop wasn't that good?

I could just be mixing up years but it seems like every year people say next years draft is great. Swear I saw people in 2025 saying the 2026 draft would be good

yeah...

people just say that because they dont know as many guys in day 3. Its the same thing every year...

They were expecting 6 QBs in the first round.

Yeah I guess bust is a little bit harsh for him but I think we can survive if we miss out on the next Jack Driscoll if giving up two fourth round picks helped us get the next Amon-Ra St. Brown at 20.

its a meaningless argument anyway. doesnt matter.

Flyers playoff action today

If they’re up in the 3rd period I’ll turn it on to say goodbye to Baby Sidney.

I did watch part of the ANH/EDM game last night. The Oilers D and goaltending are absolute trash. It’ll be very enjoyable when they’re eliminated as well.

Colts should have grabbed him to replace Pittman and help Jones

It's moo.

Lots of guys left I like, this isn't even an exhaustive list:

S -- Kilgore

S -- Wheatley

S -- Ramsey

S -- Taaffe

S -- Moore

S -- Styles

CB -- Prysock

LB/S -- Louis

EDGE -- Josephs

EDGE -- Overton

DT -- Durrant

QB -- Payton

WR -- Caldwell

WR -- Law

WR -- Heidenreich

TE -- Bentley

OL -- World

Good pick by the Saints!

Moorehead napping or something?

Sideshow Eli.

We don’t need a running back, but I would take Emmett Johnson as an upgrade over Shipley.

He got released so it wouldn't effect the comp pick formula regardless. I agree though, I REALLY hope they just sign him this week. They desperately need another guard. If nothing else he is a really good backup, but if he is healthy and had his head on straight he could easily beat out Mr. average himself Tyler Steen.

More important to replace or backup Dickerson if he has another injury plagued season. Steen is the least of our problems on the OL now.

Nice value for saints and pukes dont get him to replace pickens

Adam Randall. Gives you a little bit of everything.

Wouldnt mind Kaytron Allen either.

Eagles visited with Singleton, so we need to dodge that landmine with our next pick.

Sticking with the plethora of new pass catchers, Heidenreich could be a surprise pick and upgrade returning as well.

Eagles also met with Demond Claiborne. Fast. Return ability to upgrade Shipley in that area.

I absolutely think that is the plan. We can get out of Hurts' contract after 2027. So, get the supporting cast installed over the next 2 years then bring in the rookie.

yeah. So saints replaced Shaheed as their deep threat. that speed will impact opposing defenses from day 1.

Overton conceivable could have been an eagles target. Their type of versatile guy. that was our other 4th rounder.

Overton seems like our kind of devlopmental DL

Navy kid inevitably will go to the Pats lol

World is a slug. Hard pass do not want

Cowboys used our 2 picks to address 2 of our needs with guys who fit our system. We didnt need them though, apparently.

Yeah, I figured if they were more serious about playing to Jalen’s strengths that they’d go Kingsbury/air raid - but the McVay/Shanny stuff is copycat.

I wasn’t particularly serious about run&shoot more like painting a picture of a bunch of 10 personnel where Stowers is a big slot.

The funny thing is that the first read in the Run n Shoot is nearly identical to the RPO. It is a running offense first. Gints tried it with Eli and then fired their OC.
