Want to see Howie grab Trey Smack from Florida today.

Finally. McCoy's knee must be actual dust for to have lasted this long

He has what Myles Jack had, but worse yet, hes going to need another surgery because his initial surgery isnt working out.

Its degenerative to begin with, and hes having complications also. So, its bad.

Bad news for you. She works for the Giants now.

absolutely

Nwaiwu is nice.

I don't think it's true from an NIL money standpoint. The NIL contracts I have seen for starting type players in major conferences were below the $500k mark. Dorian Strong was pick 205 last year. He got a $285k signing bonus and salary of just over a million dollars in one season. I would guess the bonus itself was better than his NIL deal with Virginia Tech. He also has the opportunity loss if of a 7 figure salary if he makes the team. I think that is just some boomer spewing garbage because they don't like to see college players get paid.

If I were the agent of a late round type of prospect with NIL money, I’d tell him to stay in school.

If you can get 5 years of money in college and then 4 years on a rookie deal, that is basically a full career making few million bucks.

The sad fact is that most kids aren’t going to make it in the league. Unless you are a minimum top 100, and more like top 50, type of prospect, you’re probably better off staying in school.

I dont know what will happen here, but Zakee Wheatley, Taaffe, and Wisniewski are all there.

I feel like Wheatley will be gone by our pick for sure. Taaffe always seemed like a round 5 type of guy to me. He may go end of round 4. Wisniewski seems most likely to still be available in the 5th for us.

My Day 3 draft experience is ruined

Its a bit of a shocker that Kilgore is still availavle, and Im not even that big of a fan.

Seems a lot of people liked Delp at TE. Would you have preferred him and taken someone else in the 2nd? Or is Stowers a better TE despite the lack of blocking?

I wondered if they'd double up with Delp where we took Bell. Delp has the blocking ability plus athleticism, just needs time and coaching. Him and Stowers could've been a nice combo for the future.

Yup. Pinching my weiner the whole time and cursing

For anyone concerned about guard, today can still net you a good backup in this class, maybe even potential starter. Beau Stephens can be a day 1 starter for a team.

I had it on mute. What was that nonsense they were doing on stage with the Steelers when they weren't even picking and it took up like 3 picks of time?

Embarrassing turnout today in Pittsburgh, sheesh

Goodell was literally begging people to come today before they started. He said we are at 600k. You only need 175k for a new record so if youre at home get out here. lol.

Do you still have the tweet?

I don't remember what interview or press conference it was in but Sirianni said flatly they are running outside zone and running a strong running system that marries the run to pass with play action. So they definitely are running that scheme. I think rather than telling us they may not, these picks tell us Howie thinks system fit is overrated and he just wants to accumulate talent.

When you look at Bells strengths vs weaknesses, outside zone might be his worst possible scheme. I like the kid, just not seeing the fit and it was a little early.

If we still had a bunch of 4ths and he was there and we wanted to throw a dart, I would've been fine. There were still some good looking defensive players sitting there, easily thought we should've went that route.

With how relatively weak the back half of this draft seems, I bet we see some real head scratching "reaches" compared to consensus boards. With lower quality players I bet the variability from team board to team board is bigger than ever.

Think the Eagles can use 2 safeties at this point to throw into the fray. A free agent experienced starter type (1 year deal) and a developmental one for long term. We are definitely not done there. Like to see Epps as your 3rd safety.

Agreed on Epps, he is an excellent 3rd safety. Also, I am so sick of hearing about MCIII as a starting safety. Dude isn't a safety and pairing 5'11 190 lb. Mukuba with a guy who is 5'10 185 is just silly.

Another wild thing this draft: only 4 RBs so far. 50% from Notre Dam

How about Dani Dennis-Sutton? He has size, athletic ability, and was productive for a major big ten program. I'm starting to honestly wonder if the dude has pending chargers or something.

We can get a good backup guard with potential starting ability. Parker II, Schrauth, Harkey, Stephens, Roberts, Gesky, Barnett...

We can get a future CB2. Muhammad, Abney II, Rivers, Demmings, Prysock, Masses...

Fing Bryce Lance is still available. Kendrick Law, Malik Benson. Elite separators Cyrus Allen and Kevin Coleman.

Edge still has Josephs, Dennis-Sutton, highly productive Tucker, Reiger...

We can have the drafts elite coverage LB in Kyle Louis. Bunch of other nice LBs.

Safety has a bunch of options that look like potential starters too I already mentioned in another post.

Yup...it sure does feel like a "meh" draft so the theme should be "just do know harm" to your team. As an Eagle fan today, I feel mission accomplished so far. I can almost feel bad for the Cards and Niners fans among other right now...lol...what is with their drafting?

He wasnt that great of a prospect but at this point, yes.

At this point, I think theyre comfortable with Ebiketie as edge 4. But it would be smart to get another for when we dont re-sign Nolan Smith.

I dont think the weakness of the back half is a reality.
