Dallas always sucks, but they usually draft players we like.

They ended up with 3 4th round picks, and us 0.

They just took an OT better than the one we took in round 3.

And they just drafted Devin Moore, a CB with our pick. CB is a need for us. Devin Moore is not my guy, but there are a bunch of CBs that fit for us still out there.

Will see what they do with the next pick.

Meanwhile since 2000

Super Bowl victories 2 to 0

Super Bowl appearances 4 to 0

Playoff appearances 16 to 9

Playoff wins 18 to 4

Doesn’t really seem to matter who Dallas drafts lol

My top three concerns right now...

1) Hurts' ability to work in this offense

2) OL health and depth

3) Who is playing safety

There is a big gap between 1 and 2.

The one that stands out most is Capehart from Clemson. But there is some kind of character concern there....

Zxavian Harris is 6'8'' 330lbs

Dontay Corleone...

Im more of a fan of the penetrators that are left.

Landon Robinson is one such guy who can actually also handle NT despite being 5'11''. Think Poona Ford.

I hate to tell you, and its only my amateur opinion, but I still see a bunch of potential starters at LB on the board. This looked like a really good LB draft. I think they may have gotten a better one. But, if it was such a need cant blame them for taking a known commodity.

I think that was the key, they knew what they were getting. As late as they looked at LB, their initial draft board targets were gone. It’s still been a good draft for them just too many holes to fill.

yeah thats why I said they always suck.

Maybe they still double up.

They can get a talent there with the next eagles pick.

Zxavian Harris

Demonte Capehart

Brandon Cleveland

Zane Durrant

Tim Keenan III

Rayshawn Benny

Cameron Ball

Donte Coreleone

Not sure he can play edge at 195 pounds. He looks like a regular dude.

Yup, was backing you up in agreement meaning they could draft whoever they like and suck

I just expect them to take a stab at one. Hurtt seems to be very good at developing guys.

1 and 2 are the biggest reasons if I were put on the spot right now I would pick Eagles to miss the playoffs. But my #3 is I think the head coach sucks and is a clown.

I think there's a lot up in the air right now, their floor is far lower than recent years and I expect naturally some things to go right, some things to go wrong, and if the things that go wrong are 1 and 2, this team isn't going to be a contender.

LT - Mailata - Johnson

LG - Dickerson

C - Jurgens - Kendall

RG - Steen

RT - Lane - Johnson

Looking at the depth of the OL and it's still a legit concern. I guess Bell is 4th tackle right away, and they also have Williams and Hinton in the mix. As far as backup guards, I have ZERO clue what their plan is there. Maybe Kendall is both the backup C and top backup G, and they also have Lampkin in the mix. They are really missing an experienced veteran who they can count on to come in and play at a decent level at G especially with Dickerson being held together with bubble gum and duct tape at this point. No clue who is available (other than Becton) but I would imagine they will be signing a free agent over the next week or two. I wish they would just sign Becton.

I was reading the deadline is Monday 4 PM to be able to sign free agents and not have it count towards the compensatory picks formula. He should be a cheap contract like the 1st time around that is incentive-laden. Becton signing would be awesome.

If they think Capehart is ok, hes the major value guy at this point.

The most intriguing players are Landon Robinson, freak athlete despite the size, and Van den Berg- freak athlete WITH size.

Zane Durant is a Ojomo type.

It was one of the deeper positions in this draft. I just felt it was more likely when we had more picks because its not exactly a need. I would have loved to get one though.

Are we spoiling picks today or are people really waiting for the announcements?

Bro, lol, he's a FN JAG.

Like I said, borderline starter who had 101 tackles last year, an improvement over the dog crap DAL rolled out there last year. A jag? We’ll see…easily worth 3m for the last year of his rookie deal.

Agreed on Epps, he is an excellent 3rd safety. Also, I am so sick of hearing about MCIII as a starting safety. Dude isn't a safety and pairing 5'11 190 lb. Mukuba with a guy who is 5'10 185 is just silly.

Fear not, Craig Woodson coming our way in the AJ trade with the Patriots

doesnt bother me

F - still 50 picks to go.

Damn - checked the draft tracker on the NFL website and Browns have 4 picks in the 5th round.

Howie is chillin' polishing his two Lombardi Trophies while Dallas is drafting guys who will probably never have a significant impact for their team. We good.

Yup, I was thinking ‘run and shoot’ with 4 wideouts (where both Stowers and Lemon get to play the slot simultaneously).

I don’t see Hurts in a Run n Shoot. (Probably more experience viewing that offense than most. Jack Pardee, Mouse Davis, June Jones took it from the Gamblers to UH). It’s a receiver read offense, kind of like the RPO for the QB but each of the receivers doing the read options for which way to take their route. If you think Hurts is slow in progressions now, put him in the Run n Shoot.

I think this is more like a combo of Lincoln Riley’s tiered looks from an Air Raid perspective combined with the Shanahan move offense. That fits Hurts well. (Think he can’t throw over the middle, watch him with a guy named Lamb on his OU tape).

Both approached the Run part of the offense similarly and it fits well. Note, those offenses require receivers and TEs that can move block. Eagles brought in two WRs that can do that and I suspect so can Stowers. Note their signing of Smartt. (And the possible return of Johnny Wilson, who outweighs Smartt by a couple pounds).

I doubt Jalyx will give up his number. 46, 46, 57, and 91 are available.

He got released so it wouldn't effect the comp pick formula regardless. I agree though, I REALLY hope they just sign him this week. They desperately need another guard. If nothing else he is a really good backup, but if he is healthy and had his head on straight he could easily beat out Mr. average himself Tyler Steen.

I wonder if there was even a market for him. I’d be curious to hear how the rest of the league sees him.

As a back up QB.
