Overall, a pretty eventful first two draft days.

Round 1 - WR to fit the new offensive system. We'll see how the system itself works out, but the pick makes sense for the new system. And pretty much confirms that AJ will be traded post June 1.

Round 2 - TE to replace Goedert in a year.
Round 3 - Meh OT.
Round 3 - Starting edge.

Guys I liked are almost all gone already, not that I thought they'd last to their pick anyway.

Like I said, we tossed away our 4ths, but Dallas has 3. Someone else just said Cleveland has numerous 5ths.

Dallas always drafts well. Cleveland has some of Howies understudies in their FO who are smart people.

Not having these 4ths is going to hurt us. There were valuable players available here.

Not every team is making good picks. SF just took a waste at OL. But the Bengals just got a potential starting center. You just have to be looking at the right guys...

that was me - they have 4 picks. 146, 148, 149, and 152

We're here for you, buddy.

@eagle45 If my memory serves me correctly, you're a surgeon right?

Assuming I'm not misremembering this, I'm curious as to your take on McCoy and also newer recovery/regenerative treatments for these kinds of injuries. I know that over the last few years there have been some break throughs in treatment with things like stem cells and peptides... are we at the point where injuries which might have been career threatening a few years ago might become less of an issue now or in the near future?

I am but I’m just a brain guy. I don’t know much about anything besides that and whatever I ask the Ortho’s down the hall about the injuries our Eagles end up with.

But there’s no doubt that once career threatening injuries are now speed bumps. I’d probably guess it’s more of a 30 year progression at this point than 5 years though…need to zoom out a bit to see the differences.

Moorehead napping or something?

You lost me at "Dallas always drafts well." They've gotten much better. But 'always'?

The highlight of the day is gonna be the drafting of a Kicker and I will be happy. Huge need here. A guy that can make 50's & beyond regularly is working the margins of the roster correctly as they should. And miminum expense outlayed.

I seriously doubt that any OL we select today would be better than the ones we selected on day 3 last year.

Out of the Eagles last 10 picks in the fourth round (have to give Robinson some time) they got one great player (Sweat), one good player (Maddox), two bottom of the roster depth type players (Shipley, Hollins), and 6 busts. I think we will be ok.

Will Shipley

Kelee Ringo

Zech McPherson

K'Von Wallace

Jack Driscoll

Avonte Maddox

Josh Sweat

Mack Hollins

Donnel Pupmhrey

Jaylen Watkins

I’m surprised Bryce Lance hasn’t been picked yet. He has some ball skills and elite speed.

that's the scouting report on Trey Smack from Florida. He can make from 50 with regularity

"I'm just a brain surgeon" LMFAO!

What's up with Jalon Kilgore?

There are still some good safety prospects on the board. We might get lucky because this draft class is so wonky.

I'm hoping Brian Parker II makes it to our pick. He is an interesting OL prospect who could be a backup at multiple positions.

Driscoll was a functional backup lineman. Hollins jordan-poyered us.

We have pick #244.

We are going to take the kid from Nigeria, Uar Bernard. Basically Mailata, but a DT.

Would not be mad

If I were the agent of a late round type of prospect with NIL money, I’d tell him to stay in school.

If you can get 5 years of money in college and then 4 years on a rookie deal, that is basically a full career making few million bucks.

The sad fact is that most kids aren’t going to make it in the league. Unless you are a minimum top 100, and more like top 50, type of prospect, you’re probably better off staying in school.

I can see that argument. The numbers of underclass prospects has declined since 2021 but the numbers are higher this year than last. The idea that the decline in underclassmen has impacted later rounds is overall is suspect. The underclassmen who didn’t declare since 2024 are in this draft. It’s not like there is a deficit in draft eligible players. You are seeing less underclassmen declare but I don’t think NIL vs NFL money is the deciding factor. College players have changing coaches and face playing time competition with new recruits and underclassmen every season. If you are a junior that knows a highly recruited player is coming for their position or you have a new position coach that may not play you, you face the prospect of missing out on being drafted. If you have a mid round grade this season it doesn’t mean you will have that grade next season. The transfer portal helps but there is risk.

No clue, but him, Ramsey, and Wheatley are all still available.

Same. Also wondering why Keith Abney is dropping as well

So when did it become known that this years crop wasn't that good?

I could just be mixing up years but it seems like every year people say next years draft is great. Swear I saw people in 2025 saying the 2026 draft would be good

we got 3 OTs last year.

There are guards available who can help still...

No ammo to move up sadly and i dont want to shed any more 27 picks

Yeah I guess bust is a little bit harsh for him but I think we can survive if we miss out on the next Jack Driscoll if giving up two fourth round picks helped us get the next Amon-Ra St. Brown at 20.
