There are a bunch of Juan Castillo phone booth blockers at guard in this class. Not movement OZ types. It does have centers who can move though, and guys with positional versatility. Zuhn is one of those guys, and one of my guys. I wouldnt hate them even drafting a true center like Logan Jones.

20 hours ago20 hr What is the over/under on Howie trades during the draft? Let’s say 4.I would take the over.

I've been making that point for years. You have to include the TE as well because most teams have their two WRs and their TE as their top 3 receivers. So the WR3 is really the 4th receiving option. Then you have RBs that may be more involved in the pass game with screens and check downs. Clearly the Eagles brought in new guys at WR to have depth (and once AJ traded to spread his targets around), and Mannion is supposedly going to want to throw to more receivers. But this complaint about touches for a 4th receiving option, when you look at other teams they're not doing it either if they have 2 stud receivers and a good TE.
20 hours ago20 hr If Eagles go OT round 1 I really want Chris Bell round 2. I love the guy, I think he's a round 1 guy if not for the ACL. I like him much better than the other projected round 2 WRs.

Hes not on my do not draft list. But Im a little afraid of bustability. Youll have to have the right role in the right offense for him to have immediate success. Hes not going to line up at X and be good for you from day 1. Im Smith is to be our move guy here, then theres not a role for Bell on our team.

First of all, if you're including Dallas Clark the TE, that agrees with the point I made that you include the TE in the receiving options so if you have 2 WRs and a TE with that many, what's left for a 3rd WR?Dallas Clark had 1 season over 1,000 yards in 2009 (1,106 yards), but Marvin Harrison had retired. Peyton had two 1,000 yard receivers that season not 3: Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark. The next highest for Clark was 848, his 1,000 season was an outlier. Most of his seasons he was at 340-488 yards. So that was not a season with three 1,000 yard receivers. As for having a 3rd WR going over 1,000 yards and more about the Colts offense:In 2004, he had 3 receivers with over 1,000 yards: Wayne, Harrison, Stokley. The following year, Stokley only had 543 yards. His career went downhill from there with injuries and even in full seasons he had typical WR3 numbers of yards in the 300s. So that one season was a rare outlier.During Manning's Colts career he only had one 1,000 yard receiver from 1998 - 2003. Reggie Wayne joined the team in 2001 but did not have 1,000 yards until his 4th season in 2004Manning's rookie year his top receiver was his RB with 908 yards. His RB was one of his top 3 receivers for the first 3 years of his career. With the Broncos (2012-2015) he had two 1,000 yard receivers. He had Wes Welker at 3rd WR who had one strong season, but the other season their 3rd WR had typical WR3 numbers. So even one of the top elite QBs of all time didn't have 3rd and 4th receivers putting up big numbers. There were a couple outlier seasons, but mostly the typical. And that's with an elite passer.

I think he probably belonged in the 2nd all along. Rawness and injury should push him to the 3rd.You see the size and speed and people want to make the AJ Brown or Deebo comps. Its a little like the Treylon Burks trap. Hes a better prospect than Burks but theres enough with Bell to be very wary about, before you even begin to consider the injury.

Faulk is super young and so people think his weaknesses will develop. Ive made the Amobi Okoye comparisons- theres no guarantee. Okoye was supposed to be elite, and was drafted as a 19 year old.. What he would become as a grown man was unfathomable. Except, he just busted out of the league pretty quickly instead.re: Demmings- In this draft, finding a 4 year senior is like finding gold.
19 hours ago19 hr AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith have had 3 seasons where they both had 1,000 yards. The one season they didn't, they both only played 13 games and the team added Barkley and was dominant in the run game. Still, in 13 games DeVonta Smith had 833 yards. Had he played in 16 games he would have reached 1,000 (16 because of resting starters).Clearly we have the best WR duo in Eagles history. Yet we complain about receiving targets to 3rd and 4th WRs. While I agree you need depth and other options when those receivers are covered, but when you have 2 stud WRs, a pretty good TE who was a red zone beast last year, and one of the top RBs in the NFL, it seems minor to complain about targets for a 4th receiving option. Especially a team that has gone to the Super Bowl twice in that timespan and won it.Historically, the Eagles have never had another WR combo reach 1,000 yards together for more than 1 season. In fact they've only ever had one other season with two WRs reaching 1,000 yards: Maclin and Jordan Matthews in 2014. The combo of DeSean Jackson and Maclin never both had 1,000 yards together for the Eagles. We do have to factor in the extra game with 17, resting starters and injuries. But clearly this WR duo is special and doing things no other duo has in our history.
