Pick 14ish you're gonna start to hear "Eagles trying to move up" reports from the usual reporters.

Evergreen.

The possible run on OTs makes me think the Eagles could go S or TE

I have this weird feeling Max Iheanachor goes much higher than expected.

Your AJ Brown replacement

One of my favorites and did have him in for a top 30. I also wonder if having Omar Cooper Jr. in as the first top 30 means anything

I'm a big Smith fan but AJ's presence on the field does help Smith with coverage assignments.

I think Smith will be successful still but some of stats projected by people is unrealistic. Not to mention Mannion's scheme spreads the ball.

I understand AJ needs to go but people that think the offense is better without him are delusional

Some of these idiots are so desperate for the "cancer" AJ to leave they don't understand this

I think the calculus between him and Freeling is similar. I don't Freeling is worth a top-10 pick, but if a team is willing to take him in the teens then Max isn't far behind.

No they are not, despite hypothetically being a more talented class.

A season is an eternity in the NFL. Time preference is EXTREMELY high. Remember, most GMs and HCs get 3 seasons, and then they’re done — usually forever!

And a rookie usually takes a season before he starts playing at a high level, if he ever does at all.

Given that, future picks are ALWAYS worth less than current picks, regardless of how talented a future draft class may appear. It’s just a matter of career survival for the front office and coaching staff.

The ‘next year is more talented’ is an eternal goal post moving thing. This year was supposed to be a near generational QB class…if you look at the talk from this time last year. Sure there is ‘weak classes’ and changes year to year, but nothing is a given.

No rookie is going to replace AJ's production fogtag. You're crying about AJ 2 drops in the playoff game. Bell has a 7.9 career drop rate

There were guys a lot of people expected to come out this year that ended up going back to school. That made this class less appealing

Byron Evans.

Doesn't sound like a statement a guy makes if he wasn't banging a reporter.

Is that draft prospects looking at who is in the top 5 or wherever they're thinking they're going to get drafted and decide to stay in college because they don't like the team? Or is it because they're getting paid more now because of NIL?

The best version of Vrabel is still a scumbag, though ......

The second one. The lousy teams generally find a way to stay lousy, so it doesn't really benefit a prospect to stay in college just to avoid the Jets and Browns being bad next year.

I do wonder if his draft status changed with the announcement of the cyst pressuring a nerve in his back being easily remedied with no risk. I also wonder if his Dad’s roll with the Saints is detrimental to his status. (Doubt much considering the NFL has a long history of fathers and brothers coaching and brothers, cousins playing on opposing teams).

Depends how they want to utilize him. He's pretty much identical in size to Brock Bowers.

Isn't Brock 3 inches taller?

They just like the name Coop at this point

No change to the post Danny Watkins philosophy.

Yeah. Someone will get a steal.

The nice thing about the 7pm start for Sixers means the game will be over by 7:20.

2025 was considered just as weak while 2026 was supposed to be much stronger.

It doesn’t matter. The utility of a present day pick has a lot more value than a future pick, regardless of the perceived strength of future draft classes.

I disagree. Next year’s draft is projected to have elite talent at the top at highly valued positions. I think Howie would trade 23 for any 2027 first round pick from a non expected playoff team because the upside would be so much higher for that pick.

Just this year, the Jets were offered a 2026 1 and a 2027 2 for Quinnen Williams. They countered with the picks being flipped. Why? Because that 2027 class is perceived to be significantly better, particularly at QB, making that first round pick more valuable in their eyes.

True. Tuned in late last game and we were down by 15+ already. Only got worse even though Boston played the funky white boys a lot.
